I would've loved it if in the story LuBu didnt want to use the bracelet because of his pride and confidence in his might, rather he'd challenge any warrior who used the bracelets, I think it would've given more depth to his character.
For real though, he is usually portrayed as a character that does not like cheats and is willing to even challenge godlike beings such as Orochi to satiate his thirst for a challenge. But then he is using this hax bracelet nonchalantly.
I mean it can also be said that he respect the warrior he is facing and since he recognizes them as warriors he will use his full power to show respect
I remember in DW 3-4 Lu Bu was the most cancerous opponent to have walked the earth. It’s as if I was playing a Dark Souls kind of boss fight. In my opinion, he’s the first, “Why do I hear boss music?” Warrior in gaming.
My first experience of Dynasty Warriors was as a young kid, never had the money to get new games myself so my cousin always had the cool games lmao. Historically speaking, both men are actually interesting figures. Historical Lü Bu is nothing like his fictional counterpart, at all. Nonetheless, he is still an interesting figure who was basically an embodiment of chaos. He wasn't exactly a powerful duelist like the novel made him out to be, nor was he a wise commander, but the fact that a. The likes of Gao Shun and Zhang Liao swore their loyalties to him speaks volume of either his individual might or his charisma; and, b. Dong Zhuo, of all people, assigned him to be his personal bodyguard, and we all know how Dong Zhuo had literally everyone around him who wanted him dead, which means Lü Bu must have been a soldier formidable enough to be chosen by Dong Zhuo to personally protect him. Meanwhile, historical Tadakatsu Honda really WAS as badass as his video game counterpart despite the exaggeration. He singlehandedly faced around 50-60 of Hideyoshi Toyotomi's troops during the Battle of Komaki-Nagakute, and survived the battle without suffering any serious damage. The only questionable thing about Tadakatsu Honda is the fact that he never had any even a single scar from over a hundred battles, because it could mean he never went to the front line like Naomasa Ii did, but his feat in Komaki-Nagakute is still an impressive one.
