Kev, I built a 6S version of the Ryft Kit with a Hobbywing XR8 plus 2250KV motor / ESC combo and it is an absolute beast. I integrated all the Treal upgrades and built the transmission with 2-speeds, and filled the diffs with 1mill wt fluid (center, I added some Traxxas 20mil er fluid). Run it on 2 3S GensAce 4300mah LiPos. Also, get the LMT servo saver by Treal (match to your servo splines). Speaking of servos, the Reefs 422 hd v2 on this beast is *perfect* - fast and STRONG. Very fun build!
Castle is good but theres better lol hobbying lol itle make it a sick crawler . ive done the same to my redcat wendigo it has major power and bounced to hell and back lol . but I like it as a crawler more than A bouncer . front and rear stear front and rear d if locks it was amazing
Until all the aluminum breaks because it's way less durable than plastic. Especially on a a machine like the ryft that's gunna get tossed and thrown around.

I think i learnt a lot, welding, tig welding, full fabricator, sheet metal fabricator, plastering, power coating, wood work making tables, expert in bike's, qualified road worker, but fusion, nvqs, building pcs, fixing consoles, there's a load more, andddd, IM SKINTTT!!!! The more money you have the more you can earn, people you know too
I have a castle with the 2200 kv running 4s in my wendigo. It maxes out the trucks stability at top speed but is really controlled and fun. I flip the switch to turn drag brake on and off. Its great.

I have the Bomber 2.0 I changed to brushless with the Tekin combo and Hot Racing swaybar on the rear. Fast enough for a solid axle rock basher, but still has excellent low speed and drag for crawling; far more versatile vehicle.
Hey buddy thanks to you guys I figured out what I'm going to do with my all aluminum basher truck , I'm going to stiffen up the suspension and lower it a bit and burn the tires off of it like hillbilly drifting!!!

I didn't know what a rock bouncer was until I watched a couple videos here one youboob. When you see the real thing in action, it makes sense why they are fast and and torquey. They use that power to laterally bounce up rocks and the sides of impossible hills.
I've had a Ryft pretty much since they came out. I have mixed feelings about it as well. I broke the rear rod ends 2 mins after getting it. Axial knew about the issues and shipped free replacements. They're really fun for steep rock crawling, or really rough terrain that normal crawlers can't get through. Otherwise it's just sitting on my shelf collecting dust while I bring my other RC's out for bashing. With that said. Kevin, I really want to see you send this one to the moon on a jump!
You need to get the two speed transmission going on the Ryft. It comes locked in high gear. The low gear helps crawling. Sensored brushless will help a lot too.
My Eachine EAT04 suffers from the same Drill-Bit Mode of Doom, where it'll knock itself over with the right launch. While funny, it does get a little old... But now, this. I'm going to have to -pilfer- become inspired by this sway bar kit and start up the 3d printer. Thanks bud, I never thought a stabilizer would actually work on this live axle situation.
Mamba X. I have the Mamba X with a Holmes Hobbies Puller Pro in my TRX-4 Sport, it outperforms the AXE in my Gatekeeper. In my opinion the Mamba X is much more versatile and set up correctly the low speed control is better than the AXE . The AXE system it is much quieter though. It's a shame the Mamba X is impossible to get in the UK at the moment unless you buy it with a motor.
I have one Question if you don't mind.. Will the will the armor Kraton center diff fit into the pirate 3 truggy?..what do you think about the pirate 3 truggy?...

Mamba system Kevin. Castle is all I use now in all my cars trucks. The Castle x paired with the 1406 5700kv motor is great for non prep drag racing.

Mamba, also put molykote 111 in my ryfts diffs locks it up a little bit but allows it to still shake off harder hits

use the mamba. if it has good low speed control; but can also go fast, that’s pretty much what a rock bouncer needs to be able to do.

U did put treal or vitvavon axels under it right? And they make a 2 speed gear set for this.. that way u can crawl or bounce
Kev you need to fab up a unlocking sway bar👍 and a 2 speed. This way you can crawl OR bounce OR just bash by the flip of a switch..
I like the 2 drivers seated in it.
