Hard trance was special, it was a great fusion of sounds and had a very dynamic feeling. Sadly with the rise of hardstyle because of the huge influence of hard trance, it got overshadowed and never reached max potential, but in my eyes this is what makes it so special. The fact that i started a whole new genre, so it will always remain a special little window to a great period of music.

I got to say that I really love the Hard Trance style of 1999-2000. It had that dark feel to it. It was still Acid induced. It was like early to mid 90s Acid Trance on steroids slowed down a little bit which I really like. I remember being blown away back in 99 and 00 by a lot of these tracks in your Assorted and Essential Trance mixes too Johan. Very nostalgic!

Curious as to the DJ Scot Project Remix of Cosmic Gate's Fire Wire. Is that real late 2000? Discogs is telling me 2001, so either I'm not seeing something right or the selection is off an unlisted release. The selection is solid and captures the two years perfectly, otherwise.

Hmm, I believe you found something there. I probably made a mistake in dating that particular record. I had the EP on vinyl but it got stolen years ago so for the set I used a digital rip of it that I still had. When looking up the release year on discogs I confused it with this release:

I believe the image of that particular EP was very similar to how I remembered my old vinyl so I mistakenly fought it was the same EP. The result: the title of this particular set is now a lie
