I finally broke down and started using braid on my UL rod and so far I’m way happier with it. I used 4 lbs mono for years but I think the braid with a leader is just a better feeling. Sensitive and casts better.

I did as well. Lol Its much more sensitive just have to be carefull with the no stretch. I use lite leaders from 1.5-3# so with no stretch in the mainline the leader takes it all. I just use a longer softer tipped rod to accommodate but ya. Sucks when t he whole rig gets tangled up and knotted with that tiny braid that's for sure. I like the newer super braids that have like a coating on them. Doesn't absorb water and has less resistance in the water when float fishing.

Nice brown! Ive heard there are big natural brown in that creek way up stream where its almost impossible to get through. I love fishing that fast water near the bank where your big fish ran to. I used to live a lot closer to there. Im 3 hours a way now but your videos make me want to make the trip out there again. Thanks for posting!
Great video catching your pb brown. I was lucky enough to catch a state stocked brown in NC this spring that was a tad over 11lbs and 29” while fishing with my buddy BJ. I enjoy using your baits and have caught a lot of good fish with your creek bugs. I look forward to your videos each week.

Great videos and huge fish. We're you the only one catching them. I too like to use plastics and have great success but may need to add to my arsenal some of NVR plastics. Which would suggest based on the best luck you have had what colors. Keep the videos coming

Lord have mercy, what a bunch of trophy trout!! "That's the one I was tryin' to catch!" LOL! I take it that these are hatchery-raised to such sizes before release. Probably too big to have been raised to that size on such a small stream.
The brown looks like a tributary fish. If its not a tributary fish it must have been a breeder from a hatchery program. Not many streams on the planet of this size could support that many fish of that size. Its simply not natural. I wonder of those brookies are stocked as well because some of them where massive as well.

It was not. It weighed 9lbs 8oz on digital scales
