    Note about proteus staff that _is_ important vs polymorph: Proteus staff lets you put the stuff on the bottom of your library in *any order*. On the first polymorph this doesn't matter so much, but if you target your tidespout tyrant with that ability, it'll go on the bottom of your library, and then be polymorph'd up to the battlefield, revealing your entire library and allowing you to stack your deck the way you want like a mini doomsday.

  • @WillianMates
    @WillianMates 3 года назад +1

    That is my deck :D
    I feel like it is more adaptative than disruptive, since sometimes we can combo on turn 3 or even turn 2. Turn 3, 4 or 5 we usually have a decision to combo off or try to disrupt and protect a later combo. Anyway, really good video Ryan!

    • @paulmcclain642
      @paulmcclain642 3 года назад +1

      Yawgmoth is my casual main but I’ve dabbled with some cEDH builds-I just didn’t find that version of the deck interesting. If you do, there’s a great primer on Yawg cEDH in the cEDH decklist database

    • @viseman9253
      @viseman9253 3 года назад +1

      @@paulmcclain642 I have seen the one deck he has there, It seemed interesting. I wasnt big on the 0 mana creatures other then Memnite, but I do understand the inclusion. Ive had some good success with Gary+Citadel+mortuary+Yawg+Zulaport. Probably to many pieces, but it is a fun drain win.

    • @paulmcclain642
      @paulmcclain642 3 года назад +1

      @@viseman9253 there are a lot of different combos you can pull off it’s really a question of how many cards you want it to be. My version is high powered casual which is basically several 3 card and one 2 card combo without the cEDH fast mana. I typically win turn 4-7 with it. The cEDH version is just a bit faster and lower to the ground. The 0 mana creatures act as sac fodder to get your combos going so they cost less mana total.

  • @paulmcclain642
    @paulmcclain642 3 года назад +1

  • @JymboSlice

The polymorph cards, and urza himself, are the only things you absolutely cannot replace. Most everything thing else has some budget alternative.
