As always I love to see Urza win, however the final line was unnecessarily complicated.
Grim + PA -> Infinite Mana -> activate Urza until you get HBH -> Loop Imposter Mech + Anything to copy OBM every time and ping everyone to death. GG

go urza!! we love having muddle the mixture and any artifact tutor in opening hand the time twister hurt I think he just drawed into the combo after twister resolved 👍🏻stack the board and make infinite constructs with plenty of removal in your hand pass turn then GG I love my man Urza 😍

I've been playing with sythis since release and slowly tuning until it hit cedh and i love it big time
Cool game. I am also playing Sythis in Cedh, trying to figure out if it is good enough. I have a lot of wonkier wincon though, probably need to focus on more Stax.

Maybe his hand was bad and he wanted to wheel, but also the fact that Urza didn't want the wheel means that it was a hand worth getting rid of from Alex's perspective
@@alanschellenberger9356 true, but if Urza was already down two cards trying to interact with the Blue Farm player and Alex had interaction in hand if they didn’t wheel plus Urza’s main outlet and enabler is still getting hosed by Drannith, i’d probably had taken my chances and not give the turbo naus player more cards for free. I will say though she was already low enough that an ad naus line wasn’t a threat anymore and he took that chance. I can see that too

Is Emma's deck an Aura Voltron setup? Or is that just what was drawn into? I've tried Sythis a few times but it was always more of a combo/storm list. Or heavy Stax

Having built a cedh sythis deck over the years, normally the optimal strategy is to play heavy stax in order to punish other players who rely on rocks for fast mana, the graveyard for reanimation and other types of combos/synergies. I’m generally all for people playing with whatever cards seem like the most fun for them at the table, but for cedh specifically, there are a lot of cards that Emma’s deck could swap out if it aims to be played more competitively. Auramancer, Kruphix’s Insight, Winds of Rath, Retether, Helm of the Gods, and especially auras like Hyena Umbra and Unflinching Courage could all be upgraded.

I'm confused as to how orcish bowmasters was the MVP over the one ring. I may be mistaken but without the one ring urza would've lost.
Urza has an ability that costs 5: shuffle your library, then exile the top card, you may play that card without paying its mana cost. So once he went infinite mana the game was already over, just the manner of winning was up to the player. So one ring was def not the MVP

Im glad to see this wasnt a game where urza was just “make infinite mana, activate urza into oblivion, thor” kind of game.
While Urza doesn't play Thoracle, the pilot could have just gone for infinite into Urza. Not sure why they went for The One Ring/MOM shenanigans instead..

why didnt phas image enter as another dockside ?? i might be missing something, but it seems like 11 free treasures as the creative was sacrificed to the tutor directly after, is there a reason for choosing the 1/1 lifelink creature ??

So, I'm going to be honest here.. That Sythis list is not even close to viable at a cEDH table. And it's not the first time there's some dodgy Sythis lists being played on some of the best cEDH channels on RUclips - in fact, I don't think I've seen a list more or less resembling any of the DDB lists on RUclips, ever? As invested Enchantress players, it's really quite frustrating to see the deck so consistently misrepresented.
Beacuse Sythis, though definitely fringe at best, is a commander with a lot of power and potential, if built and piloted well. It's a non-blue manual storm deck with stax elements, few dead cards, plenty of overlapping combos, a high skill ceiling and a lot of room for meta calls and personal preference - it's really rather cool :)
Emma, if you're reading this: please don't take it as a personal attack. As someone new to the format it's impossible to know what's what. I'm just happy you enjoy the archetype, and I hope this game doesn't discourage you from Sythis, or the format in general. I'd invite you (and anyone else whose interest has been peaked!) to come hang out in our Discord server and talk shop! There's a small but dedicated group of us continuously brewing, experimenting and innovating, and we'd love to invite more players, whether new to cEDH or invested in the format, into our ranks.

Yeah, I didnt see any interaction coming from her side. Its almost impossible to fit in the necessary interaction in a deck that also needs to fit stax, bad enchantments, and slow draw engines. Enchantrees Presence just isnt in the same peague as rhystic study
@@smack80While that is certainly true, Enchantress’s Presence is still a key piece even in a fully tuned Deck. For these exact scenarios where your Commander can’t get online or somebody is shredding your Creatures with Orcish Bowmasters.

How did the force go through the defense grid?
I think I saw a misplay and a misjudge since the defense grid was successfully cast how is he able to cast the force of negation and not pay the extra three

Spinner only affects creature and enchantment spells.

Did the Urza deck not have thassas oracle? Seemed like a much easier way to win that what he went through lol
From lists I’ve seen, they normally don’t. Especially if he’s running a list where his only creature in the 99 is that one Hullbreaker Horror.
No good Urza list runs Oracle as a wincon. Comes down to card quality and the lack of necessity for a dedicated "wincon".
How did Matt cast force of negation with defense grid out?
I see he tapped grim monolith, and in guess he could have talked tormods crypt, but I just don't see where he got the 4th mana for defense grid
defense grid makes you pay "3" extra, so grim alone is enough@@blakerobinson4198

@@spoon501 my b, thought defense grid was 4 mana to play spells. Whoops. You can see a card 100 times and still be not sure what it does I guess, haha.
