    Inalla Wizard Combo sounds like a "Better know a combo" episode in the making

    I do love how he said the Inalla line is a ridiculous process, because it is 😂😂 but wow, it feels good to pull off 😂

    Also i know a lot of cedh games are cut down to speed up games but it has given me the impression that cedh is just speed running magic

      There is a lot cut out. Just between shuffling for fetchlands/tutors and resolving spells like ad nauseam, there is a good amount of non-action time. There are fewer turns than a non competitive game, but there are a lot of game actions and decisions condensed down to like four to six turns.

    Why does Eliot not wizardcycle on end step to threaten open mana and leave less time for timetwister?

      It's sorcery speed

      Might have worried about a stifle effect and wanted to use the fact that everyone is tapped down (and also maybe just have missed the instant speedness)

    Technically the player with rhystic study should have continued drawing cards for each LED/brain freeze cast, as they could have potentially drawn into Force of Negation or Mindbreak Trap which could be used to exile something and disrupt the combo.

    • @dedbirdy1369
      @dedbirdy1369 Год назад +8

      It would just be countered by the pact of negation and whatever other counter spells he mills any counter that doesn't exile it would just put it back in his grave where he'd cast it again

    Disappointed to see Inalla being stopped again :( in the future, as a fellow Inalla player, I usually wait until the endstep before me to wizardcycle for Spellseeker. People are less likely to hold up interaction for it, and you have more mana should you need to interact

    Why did Elliot wizardcycle at socery speed instead of opponents EOT? For future reference i wouldn't do that. Your just giving opponents information and time to work out a solution. I like to just surprise opponents on EOT. Also what was the vampiric tutor target with seeker In hand I figured he would have got a counter spell to prevent himself from losing there or protect his win on this next turn

      15:46 answers your question, from what we've heard from Eliot on the rest "Wizardcycling ISNT sorcery speed?!" so yeah.🤷‍♂

    Love the great games! It’s still kinda weird not seeing Breya or Urza pop off by turn two but maybe they are not completely optimized for CEDH to make them more fair?

    Genuine question: can you go into why you thought you were fine not countering underworld breach?
    Also why not get force of negation which exiles the spell you counter

    • @javierbarrera2729
      @javierbarrera2729 Год назад +3

      Only thing in breach combo that has to be dealt with is breach itself. 🤷🏻‍♂️
      Most of inalla decks don’t run FON cause it can only be used in oponents turn for free. The deck tries to combo off by turn 1-3, so you need all counter magic that’s posible, cheap and/or free on your turn.

  • @colinfowler3021
    @colinfowler3021 Год назад +3

    Wait, what was the vampiric tutor for if not a free counter spell for Breach? I presume Elliot had a counter back up because he boldly cast the Breach into a tutor, but you still gotta make him have it.

    • @TheSpikeFeeders

      It's reserved list!

    • @antonypistachio5476
      @antonypistachio5476 Год назад +3

      Honestly dude just proxy it. CEDH is very proxy friendly. I bought most of my cards (like tutors, power creatures, counterspells etc) for my Najeela deck but to be truly full powered you need stuff like Mox Diamond and dual lands which are obscenely high priced because of the single printing reserved list concept. LED is much of the same. Breach lines are so easy with it as well and it's an insanely good card.

    Is LED worth it? It’s $600 eighth?

    • @TheSpikeFeeders
      @TheSpikeFeeders  Год назад +3

      This is an unsatisfying answer, but it depends heavily on what you consider "worth it". In the places you use it, there really are no cards you can substitute for it, so if you're dead-set on playing the decks that need it you won't be able to play them without it. There are a ton of cool decks that don't need it, though, so skipping it doesn't lock you out of playing cEDH by any means.

      I have seen in one of their videos a slight white border that might be from a badly cut homemade proxy.
      Cedh is suprisingly proxy friendly. Just do that.
