I got my Splinter figure a couple of weeks ago when I found him at my local Walmart. I thought he would work well with the TMNT four pack from the Mirage line that I found at Target.
Man love this splinter. But im holding out for the archie splinter in armor. By far one of my favorite takes on him. Im also a big fan of splinters look in the 2013 series. The 2004 splinter was also legit
The robe being a little short and a different colour, no articulated mouth (which would've be easy just like the toon fig), and the nails not being painted light tan isn't much a thing to me, it's the height and some accessories. So Splinter's listed at 4', but the figure is 3.5"...so it should be 4" tall. The cane is too long, and it's crazy NECA didn't include his short sword. He's wielding it in so many panels, and I've yet to hear anyone in the community point this out. It's just so bizarre, especially with it being NECA, and such a tiny figure that needs as many accessories as possible. With all that being said, I still _absolutely_ love this figure. Besides the brothers, Splinter is always my #1 pick for most needed character.
I'm just glad that if they weren't gonna make him 4" exactly, that they made him shorter than taller. I don't really recall his short sword, but its been a while since I've read through Mirage, but to your point, how hard would it have been to include a tiny sword? Especially, with such a tiny figure that they're already putting a good amount of accessories in. And the articulated jaw is still my main gripe with this otherwise great figure.
@@EazyOpens Yeah man, it's been forever since I checked out those comics, so when I was doing a search, a lot of pics popped up with him holding his sword. Like even the main 'Mirage Splinter' image (on TMNTpedia) is w/his sword & cane. Usagi's short one is the best choice, but that'll leave him missin' one...or maybe Smash's little sword will be good enough. Not a huge deal, just _super_ bizarre; but really glad to have this little Scottish Terrier lookin' dude.
Nah, I got mine years ago. Like, right when they first started popping up. I have the legit ones in box still but kept hearing good things about these KO's so ig to them. I think they're great, especially for what I paid for them which wasn't much. The only issues I had was Donnie's belt knot is flipped up in a strange way but its hardly noticeable and probably an easy fix and Leo (just recently) seems to be turning a slightly lighter shade of green. I think I got them from ebay iirc.
I was probably speaking hyperbolically, but different artists/shows/movies often tend to make him and the turtles much taller than they should be and I much prefer the shorter versions.

Yeah I think he works surprisingly well with most of the TMNT figures but especially any of the comic figures!

Totally agree! But I feel like this Splinter is probably my favorite over all.

Did you get your Neca Mirage KO Turtles recently? And if so, did you get them from Aliexpress? Links? Thank you!

LOL!
Splinter was never 6 feet tall.
