Hi, I'm not sure. It feels like they've kinda taken a step back from TMNT or at least their "ultimates" line, but I could see them doing it reusing Slash as a base with some minor adjustments like the original toy did.

In the original comic books (and pretty much every other iteration of the TMNT) he was a black man. The 87 animated series is the only media I can think of where that character is white.

I don't recall off the top of my head but I know they have shown the evil ken so I imagine if the line keeps doing well they'll definitely get to player 2 Ken.

That's tough. Super 7 has the metal look and feel which is awesome. But his legs don't stand very well if I remember correctly. The NECA version is way taller and is super sturdy but lacks the metal look and feel that the original toy had. If you're good with some stability issues and have an attachment to the original playmates figure I'd go S7 but if you want a solid and sturdy representation of the character then I'd go Neca.

I'm a sucker for the Gold/King Ranger and even though I much prefer the Lightning collection, I still couldn't get rid of my Gold Ranger when I sold off my Legacy rangers.

Dude for real! The cutlass would've been bad ass but yeah... I think there's some Japanese elements in his story so maybe that's why? I just love weird villains. I just got McFarlane's Clock King and that's got me wanting to go back through the BATB! Loved that show!

Yeah or maybe just multiple arms. Like I've got some anime characters that cross their arms as a signature stance and so they came with a separate part to pull that off. That would've been cool. And I'm always down for Vac-Metal!

Dang Neca. QC issue right after my compliment. I like the blue Renet as well, but she almost feels like a different timeline version of the character.

Yeah I get it. I have an affinity for Mirage because of the podcast so I'm a mark for these. Oh and I'm probably even more of a mark for Archie! I've loved everything they've done so far with that line and just hope they continue it. I NEED A CUDLEY!!!

I agree. This figure is just a lot of fun. Honestly, I've just been really enjoying this whole line (at least the ones I've got). I seem to remember seeing "something" in the sprite but I guess I forgot and really just wasn't expecting it to be their hands lol. Although idk what else it would've been...

Yeah I remembered seeing something in the sprite but never paused to see what it was (or atleast don't remember doing that) but nevertheless seeing the hands in the fire ball just kinda threw me off for some reason, even though I don't know what else would be in there... But yes, the attention to detail here is excellent!

I never knew what the thing was inside the hadoken either. And i have been playing since day 1.

You will find the hands inside the hadoken in SF2 Turbo, SF4, SF5, SF6, including box cover art variants where Ryu is putting out one. In the animations the hand doesn't change, the surrounding sprites and graphics change that's why you know there is an impression of the hand inside the hadoken

Yo, that suuuuuuuuuuucks!!!! Yeah, I was super nervous mine would too and barely moved it. Luckily I was able to sell mine before I broke it. But I did try to sell my Sota Zangief figure and while I was taking pics for eBay, the foot broke off! Ugh... Thankfully I was able to still sell it but still... But yeah, this Dhalsim is so much fun!

You're right. I should've clarified that that's the more specific reason but it's a classic case of them trying not to be offensive but then inadvertantly being more. It gets waaaay worse when you bring the punk frogs into this conversation! lol. Oh yeah, when I took the pic of Shredder with Baxter I was like "this feels weird". I much prefer him being his own separate villain faction outside of the Foot.

Thanks! Yes!!!! Being 5'3', hairy and burly adds so much more to his character than having him be like damn near every other dude on the X-men.

Straight up, though the green ranger and shredder are so iconic. Even people outside of the the know recognize these characters. I feel they will both continue to be timeless.

I got mine from Big Bad Toy Store when they originally came out and they cost $55 so that price doesn't seem to bad all things considered.

Nearest Ross is about 4 hours away. Unfortunately I'm just to much of a cheap bastard to pay full price. Thanks for the advice .

Oh dang, I ordered these off of Big Bad Toy Store when they were first announced forever ago. I know a bunch of these were popping up in Ross and stores like that a while ago so I'd check there if you have any around your area. Like, Ollies, Burlington Coat Factory, DD's Discount just to name a few.

omg you got me with that last line! lol. I can see how one might have that opinion. lol... I still think they are good but not really anything to write home about. It could be that my expectations for unhelmeted heads is pretty low or just that I'm so starved for good modern comic turtles that I'll take what I can get... Yeah the weapon integration is pretty great here. Still wish they had a real chain on the chucks.

Yeah, that look is so sleek and simple yet kinda freaky like you don't wanna see it behind you or really anywhere because you know there's trouble coming. I didn't watch really any of the Next Mutation until we covered it on the podcast but I was still watching Power Rangers at that time but just starting to get out of it when the crossover happened. Well all of the episodes are up here on RUclips if you wanna check it out. It's not the greatest thing I've ever seen but I absolutely love most of the other villains it introduced, especially Silver and Bonesteel!

Oh I agree. I can't explain it and certainly can't defend it by any means but I just feel weird about this suit. I totally get that people dig it though. I really want to but something doesn't work for me and I can't figure it out. But I think its mostly with the figure and not the live action suit on the show.

Yeah I'm totally biased on the MMPR team but I definitely love some other teams a whole lot. Especially after watching a ton of Super Sentai. And yeah, Mikey in yellow is another level of cool for me. I think it definitely stems from his sprite in the TMNT arcade game being way more yellow than orange.

I agree. The progression from record to record at least until BETAA, is pretty noticeable. And I kinda love them for that. because on the one hand you see the consistency in exploring the genre but simultaneously, the maturity of the lyrics and their scope. I kinda feel like they were too much of everything... they were clean, which radio loves, but too clean since they were associated with being "christian" that it turned people off before even listening to them. Then they were pop punk, which radio wanted at the time but too punk (sound wise) at least until SGTWOTB. It's unfortunate that they never got as big as Blink and some could argue even all the bands that they brought on tour like Simple Plan, Good Charlotte and NFG got bigger than them but they just sold out one of our bigger midsized venues in central florida and put on one of the best shows I've seen in all my years of going to shows.

@@EazyOpens My first punk show was MXPX, Life in General tour. They had no opening band and just played a couple one-hour sets. At the time I didnt realize how abnormal that was, in retrospect it was probably difficult for them to find an opening band that didnt turn off half their fans. It was a pretty killer show. Absolute best shows I can remember all involve Black sails/ Art of Drowning era AFI. The energy, vibe, and crowd size at that time made for an experience I've never seen duplicated.

Legit! Thanks for the sub and the kind words! Yeah, the Sonic crossover did mess with the flow of the story but I recall still enjoying it some what. I probably need to revisit it soon.
