Thanks for your suggestions. I have a suggestion, though, and that is to show each color in a room setting rather than to just talk about it. I’m a very visual person, and seeing each color in a room helps me a lot.
I have accessible beige through out my house. I love it so much, however SW Emerald has gotten SO expensive I’m looking for something very similar to refresh my paint. Will be looking at many of these. What I love about accessible beige. It looks gray from one angle when the sun hits it and then fades to a pleasant beige in the evening. Goes with just about everything. Also if possible could you give paint color number? Thank you.
I chose some beige paint for the exterior of my house and it was so difficult. The color on the swatch card, the color in the can and the color on the wall look so drastically different! It's crazy! And not just how different they look, but the UNDERTONES are so insidious. I read descriptions like beige, yellow and light brown. But a lot of those beiges have a green or pink undertone. Even BLANK CANVAS looked like it has a pink undertone on a wall but not on the card. Later i read a review on it and the reviewer said it coud lean PEACH! That's what i was seeing! I ended up choosing Spanish Sand and Swiss Coffee. I almost chose White Mocha which looks about a 1/2 shade darker than Swiss Coffee on the card but was like 3 -4 shades darker on the wall. Like i said, CRAZY!
Thank you so much for sharing! I am glad you found a color that works for you. I know what you mean. It can be hard and I hope others who read your comment find it helpful. Thanks again for sharing!!
I experience the same thing with Gravel stone. I was aoooo dark on the wall. Wasted a gallon of paint. Repainted with Spanish sand. Still not happy . Room is done. 😔 I
@berengereful Yes, I have experienced Gravel Stone. It was too dark for my preference on the exterior. Can't imagine how dark it is on an interior wall. Also, the interior lighting affects the perception of the color as well as the natural light that enters from the outside. Even on the exterior, the paint looks different on the south side as opposed to the North side. And different times of days and how much subnormal cloud cover exists when looking at the paint. Also is rhe paint is matte, gloss or semi gloss affects the color. So much to consider.
Hello, your home is lovely and cozy. Thanks for the information you provided. Using Even better Beige throughout the first level, what coordinate colors are there for my dining room? I have chair rails and crown molding.
SW kilim beige is apples and oranges with Behr off-white (#73) Kilim beige has an orange undertone and an lrv of 57. Off-white is a pale yellow with a gray/green undertone that in the shade has a khaki look. Thre lrv is 76 and quite light. It's not the easiest to work with, but it is beautiful. I have it in my living room.
I am thinking of using Vanilla frost What color trim and door paint would you suggest My home has little natural light except the living room and is English country cottage
What would you recommend if I use ultra pure white for my trim and molding and my ceiling is low, what color would be best for my ceiling in your opinion to keep things looking more open and bigger?
Thank you for the video. What beige color would you recommend for an east and west facing room that doesn't have heavy green undertones and works with french country cottage furniture. I love the colors you have in your home. I am struggling so much to find something for our master and our daughter's room. Any recommendations would be so appreciated. Thank you 😊
You're welcome! My living room is facing west and I used Bone White by Benjamin Moore which is a light beige. Also, look at accessible beige by Sherwin Williams. You asked about beige but an off-white might be pretty too. Look at Shoji White which is a great neutral off-white color. I am sharing more about shoji soon in my next video. We used it on my daughter's exterior and I love how it turned out.
@@LifeonSummerhill Thank you so much for responding and for the recommendations. My daughter has a west facing room and I believe this color would look amazing in her room. I will pick up a chip sample of shoji white today.
That is a good question. I have not worked with linen white so I am unsure. I would get a sample can and test it on a wall or large piece of poster board then set it up for a few days to see how it looks next to the cabinets as the light changes through the day.
I just seen your vido I tried semimetal beige on my walls love the color on my walls. But went with campfire ash in the kitchen. I was wondering why semimetal beige would look like well a yellowish color in the kitchen but in the rest of my house it looks like a brownish gray wich I like.
That is a good question. It could have to do with your lighting. If you have warm lights then it will cast a yellowish look in the room. Look on the side of the light bulb box for 4000k. This is more natural light.
Do you mean the clock? The clock is an antique and of its original color. I do not have a color of the clock but on my Behr white paint colors video I share a color that is similar. I think it was painters white.

Glad I had all the color cards! You helped me into making a final decision for my walls and baseboards!!

I think Ultra Pure White would be perfect for walls, trim and ceiling if you want an open and bigger feeling room.
Navajo white looks yellow on the wall
I agree especially if you are using warm lighting.

Would linen white look good if you have brown wood cabinets? I want to keep the house timeless.
That is a good question. I have not worked with linen white so I am unsure. I would get a sample can and test it on a wall or large piece of poster board then set it up for a few days to see how it looks next to the cabinets as the light changes through the day.
looking for trim color(lighter) suggestions for walls that will be blank canvas (behr)

Why don’t you show pictures of each color 🤦🏻♀️

If you're talking about colours, maybe you should actually have the colours and not "the closest example" to a colour. What a waste of time.
Thanks for the tip!

Benjamin Moore Bone White

@@LifeonSummerhill no, the green dresser/cabinet that is next to you?
