Love your point about how parents should highlight that the bond between fellow Christians is stronger than any other bond. That's why Paul says in Galatians 3:28, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." They say they're trying to promote unity at this conference, but one of the first things this speaker does is to position herself as part of a victim class by saying she had relatives who were slaves. This kind of preface makes me think she sees white people as the other, the oppressor, instead of brothers and sisters in Christ. To your point, it sets the alarm bells off!
If Ekemini started out making her point about Jesus seeing our sin and still loving us enough to take our sin upon Himself, I believe the conversation would have been steered in a different direction. We all have differences, but what brings us together is the unity of the Holy Spirit. Jesus' deep desire when He prayed to the Father was that we would be one with each other and with Him, as He is one with the Father. I try to treat others the way I want to be treated and communicate with them on an individual basis. Everyone has their own unique personality. Even identical twins, who look exactly alike, can have personalities that differ greatly. I'm glad that God created humans in such a diverse way. 🙂

There is only one Race and that’s the White Race. The only reason to be a member of a Race is to mistreat people based on skin color.
I think she could be clearer in how she articles her views, but i also think you should do more research on what race means and how racism manifestated itself through white supremacy. Yea, you can theorize that anyone can be racist, but historicity doesn't add value to your premise. White Supremacy is what spawned racism as we know it and to try to use it interchangeably with discrimination or bias or prejudice disrespect all of my ancestors who were enslaved by white America. And if they happen to hate those who enslaved them and enforced it, by your sophomoric use of the word racism, you would be forced to label them as racists.
Do you think there will ever be a moment in history when slave descendants will turn another page in their story? You are so much more than a slave descendant.. if you are a believer, you are known and loved by God, free in Christ. There are so many groups of people that have been historically wronged. It's time the black community turns its gaze to more pressing issues that are currently affecting them, and white supremacy wouldn't be part of that. In the same way women can be sexist, black people can be racist..
@elizabeth.eziashi This is an interesting response (i would say a strawman response, but I'll get to that later). First, as a Christian, I believe that all people have inane worth and value given to us by God (and that includes enslaved Africans brought to America). I believe their lives had as much value as anyone who ever lived. Most communities see their ancestors like that and infact honor, protect, and commemorate their memories frequently. Case in point, most Jewish people will never forget the concentration camps and the horrors inflicted on their Ancestors by Hitler and his Nazis regime. As a matter of fact, every January, there is an "International Holocaust Remembrance Day," a time to remember the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust and the millions of other victims of Nazi persecution. As a Christian, I believe the treatment of the Jewish people during that time was ABSOLUTELY wrong. And could not think of telling them to move on. At the end of May every year, we have Memorial Day, a national holiday set aside to remember to honor and mourn U.S. military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. As a Christian, I believe people who defend our country should be remembered. And could not think of telling our country to move on from Memorial Day. Juneteenth, we officially celebrate our National Independence Day, commemorating the ending of slavery in the United States. Juneteenth is a federal holiday in the United States. Again, as a Christian, I could no more stand with anyone advocating the end of Juneteenth any more than I can the aforementioned days and ways of memorializing other groups of ancestors. My point is that no other community is as to forget about their ancestors. Why do you advocate for African Americans to do so? With all that being said, help me understand why you feel that black people and white people are of different races? And help me understand how forgetting my ancestors will honor them (in light of the fact Jewish people aren't being asked to forget nor are people annually honoring those who gave their lives defending our country)? And finally, how could an enslaved person be racist (if he hated white people)?
@@calmnrelaxed Thank you for your response and explanation of your viewpoint. I am not saying that these dates are unnecessary or unimportant to celebrate - in fact I think the contrary, just like how the bible records God telling the Israelites to celebrate Passover etc. They allow us to remind ourselves of our history and the sovereignty and faithfulness of God throughout it. My problem is that it seems to me that it is only the black (or African American) community that is extending the grievances of the past to the present. You rightly mentioned the Jews and the holocaust (another tragedy that shows the depravity of the natural man), tell me how they are designing programs, organizing conferences etc. that are overtly focused on how the Germans are their present-day enemy because of how they have wronged them... There is one thing to have events/workshops where you grieve the past injustices as a community (which is not entirely wrong but it must be rightly guided I believe) versus continuously & collectively placing the blame of current problems on past perpetrators.. this is not godly. At some point African americans themselves should be held responsible and not always resorting to blaming 'white supremacy'. I definitely believe, we are one race that descended from Adam, sorry if I did not articulate that clearly but I did say it and reiterated that in my part 2 video, where I clarified more of my thoughts. I think I answered question 2 in my text above - but I'm not asking you to forget them, I just believe the best commemoration you can do is to succeed - in ever sense of that word: Spiritually, emotionally, mentally, academically, socially etc. and stop living under a victim mentality which I think is hindering progression in these areas for a lot of African Americans. For your third question, I must clarify that no-one is still enslaved so if you're talking about slaves with their slave master in history, I wouldn't term it as racism per se because yes, I would agree with the argument of power dynamics. But even still-- hate in your heart is never justifiable before God, we can pray for grace and be sure that "He giveth grace" but the trial for the believer is to overcome. Do you know Corrie Ten Boom's "The Hiding Place"? She was a Hungarian Christian woman that hid jews and was caught and sent to a horrific concentration camp. She then wrote a book and documents her experience and her conviction to love and pray for the soldiers who carried out horrible acts on her.. this is the life of a believer. The High Calling that Jesus Himself modelled to us. If there is little excuse for the slave, there is no excuse for the liberated.. no matter how much pain and grievance we feel- is the call of the cross not a high one? To take up your cross and follow Him. You must know, I realize these are very difficult subjects and in no way do I try to make light of them. But I can't shy away from the truth. Praying for grace! Blessings.
@elizabeth.eziashi It's good to hear you say that we are of one race and that we are descendants of Adam & Eve. But that does beg the question, since you are aware of our origin story, our history, why push 1900 century white supremacists' talking points about race hierarchy and divergence? Why use terms that carry meaning that support white supremacy view? My argument is that race was institutionalized beginning in the 18th century as a worldview, a set of culturally created attitudes and beliefs about human group differences. That these ideologies about human differences arose out of the context of African slavery. In particular the unique ideology that enslaved Africans are both persons and things----American laws made clear that property was more sacred than people, and the property rights of masters overshadowed the human rights of slaves. Said Chief Justice Roger B. Taney in the famous Dred Scott case of 1857, "Negroes were seen only as property; they were never thought of or spoken of except as property" and "(thus) were not intended by the framers of the Constitution to be accorded citizenship rights." In order to transform people solely into property, you must minimize those qualities that make them human. That black race was inferior and the white race superior In 1795, German anthropologist Johann Friedrich Blumenbach popularized the use of the word "Caucasian" to describe white people. Blumenbach mapped a hierarchical pyramid of five human types, placing "Caucasians" at the top because he believes a skull found in the Caucasus Mountains is the "most beautiful form of the skull, from which...the others diverge." This model is widely embraced, and it was his work that paved the for false scientific claims about white superiority. If you want to argue against remembering our past (which is antithetical to the human experience) I suggest you fight to remove or place into a museum words and terms, we use everyday that our collective challenge cognitive dissonance. Like race or Caucasian. (Part 1)
@elizabeth.eziashi I think it's important to know that historical grievances have been around forever. They are remembered injustices that can be important in many ways, including: One such way is to provide context for conflits and disputes because most conflicts have their roots in historical events that have left deep scars on societies that most outsiders or latecomers probably don't not have the prerequisite insight to understand the ways in which the trauma has affected the community victimized. One example of this is the conflict between Israelis and Hamas. The root cause of this conflict lies in the creation of the state of Israel in 1948, which led to the displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from their homes. This event continues to be a source of anger and resentment among many Palestinians, who view it as a betrayal of their rights. I dare anyone to tell a Palestinian to just get over it. That the issue is historical and they should just get over it. Obviously, this grievance is still ongoing. If we do an autopsy the on how grievances of these kind should be settled we find the Nuremberg trials. There you see how these state sponsored crimes against humanity should play itself out. Those trials were a series of criminal justice proceedings held by the Allies against the surviving high ranking officials of the defeated Nazi German state for plotting and carrying out invasions of other countries across Europe and atrocities against their citizens in World War II. The Nuremberg Trials, took place from 1945-1946, and is where the concept of crimes against humanity as a legal innovation to protect civilian populations from war and peacetime atrocities, including those committed by their own governments was established. Prior to that crimes against humanity didn't exist. Rmbr, the negro race was not considered to be human but property so no harm no foul with the advent of slavery. But when Jewish people were treated like they were, the powers that be created, The International Military Tribunal (IMT) defined crimes against humanity as "murder, extermination, enslavement, deportation, and other inhumane acts committed against any civilian population". The definition also included persecutions based on political, racial, or religious grounds. The IMT's jurisdiction was limited to crimes committed as part of a war of aggression. When it came and comes to Africa Americans who were enslaved or who was affected by slavery, nothing was said about who was wrong, who was liable, who was at fault. It's like a weird tone deafness was at work just like i see in your words. Like you, they somehow wanted all of history to accept the disrespectful way black people were treated. Thanks be to God almighty that He isn't like that. Earlier you mentioned Adam and Eve. Just one generation after Adam and Eve, Cain slew his brother Abel and the Bible testifies that God said that Abel blood cries out from the ground to Him after Cain killed him. Many Africans died because of slavery and because God is no respecter of person, their blood too cries out to Him..would you argue that their blood should be silent and that God should just move on? @@elizabeth.eziashi I pity you 😥I know it's not easy to see. We have been fed these lie's since before we were thought of. There are many books precisely like this one. Christianity was constructed of many different myths and religions that have almost identical stories and claims that date far beyond the bible. It doesn't matter if I grant that all of it is true. That's not my fight to make. Many have beat that horse to death it's undeniable at this point but truth doesn't matter to you. My fight is with god himself and this title bestowed upon him that he is frankly unworthy of having. ALL GOOD? ALL LOVING? I'm no fool. I have no problem with strict discipline. Even harsh discipline has it's place. But that's not what this is. Those verses DO NOT convey a loving parent strongly disciplining a child for being bad. It shows an evil god that will destroy everything you love in front of you simply to watch you beg for his mercy and attention. You are not broken without him. Your just broken. Be good for GOODNESS sake. If you feel empty find a need fill a need. I didn't just wake up to say hay I think I'm going to hate god today. I know the Bible well enough to know I don't need to read a line further to determine the evil the damage is so real please stop and question before you find yourself in Jephthah's shoe's. This has been a long road for me but all I had to do was stick to the truth regardless of how horrible it sounds. I don't know you but I care about your pursuit of happiness. But I can't walk this path for you I can't open your eyes and make you see that this has NOTHING to do with love and EVERYTHING to do with obedience. GOD WAS NEVER ON YOUR SIDE. You made it happen. We make it happen. Off your knees. YOU DESERVE BETTER THAN THAT!!! Real miracles come from real human hands. So I ask one simple yes or no question. Should I follow what the god of the Bible says to do if my son confesses to be gay? Or should I be Luke warm and have him spit me out? Don't try to impress me with your worldly answer. YOUR GOD IS WATCHING ⏳🥨 Keep your humanity intact. The world needs REAL unconditional LOVE. If he disagrees he can always just show up and correct all of this mess

I failed to see the love and unity in any of this. They won't ever give you value if you're giving it away like this .😢😢it hurts me to see the African community so attached to a doctrine that devalues you in such a way.
This goes for everyone every where but the Black community is hurt the most of every other. Then it's women and children. We are all losing the game and
this 👉🏽✡️✝️☪️ is to blame.
@@CANONSMOKECHINCHIN thank you for your comment and what seems to be your genuine care for the black/African community.
Those verses as removed from context, are not illustrative of the message of truth proclaimed throughout Scripture. I encourage you to try study the Bible again, perhaps starting from one of the Gospels and identify all the claims it makes - there is truly no other book like it. I pray the Holy Spirit would illuminate your heart to this...
As for religion and intrinsic value, I've spent the majority of my life defining myself by standards of value outlined outside of the Word of God. Mostly, I felt worthless and empty. Our value is in the fact that we were created by the Creator God and made in His image. This is why all humans have value, but some may not understand this fact entirely without understanding The Good News. Lastly, belief in this, is the bond that unites me to another person regardless of their skin colour, and yes indeed it is the primary unifier. There are things in life that go deeper than what is seen by the natural eye..
Blessings.
YOUR GOD IS WATCHING ⏳🥨
Keep your humanity intact. The world needs REAL unconditional LOVE.
If he disagrees he can always just show up and correct all of this mess
@@CANONSMOKECHINCHIN I hope you do keep listening to my videos.. And maybe one day our starting point to these conversations will be closer. These discussions are difficult but important and I will keep pouring out my heart through the truth of the Word for people like you! True blessings to you!
@@elizabeth.eziashi same to you my sister. Please be careful in every step you take. I am no professional but I study human behavior and I recognize damage we're everyday people see normal. We have lost this game a long time ago. I didn't hear a single person mention any of this stuff till I was well passed my 30s. god was my hero even if I did not yet identify as a Christian I knew that one day I would come around to learning him and learning his word I did not want anything from god I just wanted him to protect everyone in the world from harm. I want everyone to win and I would gladly step into the flame forever if he could make that happen. I am the same person today. I made peace with my sin and hoped and yes even prayed he would see my heart and work along side me to achieve this goal of prospering everyone but then I made the mistake of reading the Bible. His behavior is inexcusable.
If I have a beef with a person on the street that has to be resolved with violence this is the world we live in I will do what I must to survive if it comes to
this👉🏽💀that problem ends there. It will never be ok to then go after the person's family and child and do the same to them simply by association. Even worst then that how can I turn my eyes to desire a marriage from the plunder of a fallen enemy by way of a virgin child.
I feel gross just looking at these words that I'm typing and what makes it even worst is that my hero commanded exactly this over and over again. These are not the desires of an all loving god. These are the desires of a savage mortal.
Question everything!!!!
If he's real he can handle your doubts.
If you're immovable you already lost
❤️☮️✌🏽
