Out of all the wrongs done to others, Indians, White Jews, Japanese Americans, black people were somehow exempt from injustices perpetrated on them. My question is why? Why were one ethnic race who suffered for hundreds of years of subjugation’s, and terror were the only human beings exempt from any justice?

Since you did not have an intelligent response Or answer to my question, why are we exempt from Justice? I’m assuming you don’t have one?? If all those other examples I gave (that you claim I’m ignorant of ) were paid for their injustices. Now please respond intelligently why we are exempt from that kind of Justice, or any kind of Justice if you want to be technical. There is currently nor has there ever been anything on the books specifically title to the descendants of slavery that could account for any type of reparations.
Dealing with the term affirmative action once white women who are not a minority who are a member of the entitlement class became members of or on the list for affirmative action it was nullified at that point as any type of set aside for the descendants of slavery.
There is absolutely nothing that benefits the descendants of slavery for the crimes against humanity forced against the enslaved by the United States of America and its governing body.
The reparations title must include and be specifically for the descendants of slavery no one else so already your proposed reparations is incorrect and not properly written go back to the drawing board I would not support currently what you have on the books. I think you need to pole more in tuned black Americans or descendants of slavery as to how and what type of reparations we want and certainly deserve because presently your reparation plan does not speak for me.
Like most things when we do it in America somebody is appointed who was not appointed by the masses to take on something that should benefit the masses there for the masses are not adequately benefiting.

On April 16, 1862, President Lincoln signed the District of Columbia Compensated Emancipation Act. This law prohibited slavery in the District, forcing its 900-odd slaveholders to free their slaves, with the government paying owners an average of about $300 for each.

Yes Ty Banks, he Dr Claud Anderson, Tariq Nasheed and others. There is a way to get to Reparations for African American descendants of former slaves. An easy one, would be to forgive ALL debts for Africam Americans to included any and all student loans, school loans or any type educational loan currently outstanding; two, forgive and zero out any and all mortgages of African Americans .
In my humble opinion, just those two things alone would set in motion the wheels of those African Americans that know what to do and have the ability to do what is necessary to began reducing the wealth inequality gap in America.
For any African Americans that do not own homes, student loans or have any debt; these people would be given opportunity for a free secondary education to obtain a degree in the field or skill trade craft of their choice. This group would also be allowed to acquire a home, property, or aerable land equivelent to the value of the average entry-level home for the area in which they currently reside.
This would be a start in the right direction of implementing reparation; this all of course AFTER Acknowledgement and Apology.

@@hueykhalidX Absolutely, I agree with that too. America has avoided paying reparations by not seriously acknowledging discussing and facing this part of its ugly history. As I have seen on other posts, we need tangibles now. No more accepting of what is basically "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil". America's evil and vile past did occur and most major corporations and political powerhouse benefited and continues to benefit as a direct result of the free slave labor with no repercussions reparations acknowledgement or apologies.
The time is now that we wake up and demand tangibles reparations. Excluded African American descendants of slaves from taxes for 150 years, expunge and dispose of ALL debt commercial private and otherwise for a specific time frame.
Hold the politicians and corporations accountable and keep the notion of tangible reparations in the forefront. The pocket book or ballet box; make them realize the power, economics and the labor that they would lose if ALL African Americans were to leave America.

for past and present injuries resulting from chattel enslavement. I pray that he's training colleagues and students to continue the work he's engaged in. One of the unfortunate things that often happens is that the work begun by some of our brightest lights is extinguished when,
for whatever reason, they're not able to continue.

Since the Democrat Party in the South was the party of Slavery and Jim Crow; then it's the DNC in the South that should pay for slavery reparations; using their own DNC funds.

It is a shame that this issue comes up over and over again, with no results. Why raise the expectations of my people when there is no sincere effort on the part of the US government? My people have worked to build this nation into a Super Power. We have fought in all of this nation's wars with distinction. Yet, this nation refuses to fight for us and refuses to put in place a program of reparations (which means repair the damage) for my people. Black Americans have enjoyed the benefit of race-based affirmative action programs since the 1960’s. I think that’s enough reparations for decades of slavery and Jim Crow. White people don’t need to atone for slavery nor do they need to beg forgiveness from Black people. People are only responsible for their own behavior, not for the behavior of their ancestors. Even before the civil war, most white people, even in the south, did not own slaves. Should wealthy blacks receive money from the government because their ancestors were slaves?! No! What we need is a massive federal program to end poverty. All poverty, regardless of skin color. Blacks don’t have any monopoly on victim hood and most poor people today are not black. Let’s redistribute the wealth of the nation to eradicate poverty completely. Forget about race-based reparations.

Interesting thoughts. Questions/thoughts though:
What about people from Africa who only just migrated over (post slavery) who are descendant from those who captured and sold their tribesman and members of other tribes to the North Atlantic Slave Trade (As well as other slave trades, some of which still continue to this day)? Should they pay reparations for providing the slaves to begin with? How would one even go about handling this?
What about black americans who deny the need for reparations? Will they be forced to accept it? Or pay for it?
What about descendants of black slave owners? Will they be forced to pay for it?
Why should money and resources come out of people's pockets, say through taxes or otherwise to pay for these changes if they had nothing to do with slavery? Will you just blanket term every not black enough person as being liable? Is it if could pass for white enough you have to pay? Wouldn't that create classism in the black community?
What about black people who's ancestors were victims of slavery that didn't involve america, but their descendants live in america now?

No, if you are descendant of slaves in America then you are by fiat; Descendant of tribes captured in Africa by a warring tribe, sold to Slavers (which we now know many of if not most were black). You're ancestors did in fact Not jump from the ships, as their bloodline continues through you. They were then sold to Slave Handlers (many of, if not most were black) then sold to other Americans. Both White and Black people owned slaves in america.
Speakers like this paint this picture of wealthy, brutal Portuguese men arriving on ships. Quickly overpowering and subduing anything in sight, loading them into a ship's cargo hold, and shipping them to the americas. Not that the African Slave trade was alive and well long before.
Nor do they bother to mention the Moorish Pirates and the effects of their work along the coast of north africa, and all throughout the mediterranean. And the sheer volume of the discrepancy between blacks and whites taken as slaves. With some ~400,000 black slaves being taken to north america, and closer to ~1,250,000 white slaves taken from the same area in the same times.
America took part in a corrupt and immoral system that was championed in the days of the bible and even long before. It's a disgusting practice that was seen as the norm in nearly, if not all cultures and civilizations to have ever walked this planet. The difference is; america did what it could, and succeeded in breaking the cycle of slavery. Americans did this in not only their own country, but as a continued precedent for many other countries.
If people this well spoken, and this intellectual focused on helping their 'brothers' still enslaved in africa on a daily basis, maybe they would have a leg to stand on. They expouse and project how they suffer in america. How it is not equal, not fair. They do this from their lecterns and pulpits rallying others to listen to their plights. They tie themselves intrinsically to the past, but only just long enough to be the victims descendant from people taken from their homes. They never seem to go back a few decades prior, to the warring states in their homeland. Or admit let alone recognize that the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade was started 'By Blacks For Blacks'.
Maybe as a nation we can look into genealogy, and process who deserves reparations for all the events in history one day. But for now why not focus on the child trafficking trade prevalent in africa going on now instead.
