Absolutely marvellous creation with things that you already have. I like watching wood turning videos and the things made from logs. Good video and nice to see that you dressed for the occasion, like a woodsman.
Way better to build one than buy one. A lot of the things you buy these days just break anyway. SO at least this way you can feel proud of it and fit it as and when it needs fixing. Good job!
You're an incredibly talented person Ash. You come across a problem and find a solution. Love the homemade stuff. Thats engenuity
I do enjoy a challenge 😊 Even better when you can make something from scraps! Cheers👍
by far the best lathe video i've ever seen
Hopefully i can make some cool stuff with it in the future 😊👍
Brilliant Ash - love the speed controller ha ha! Thanks for sharing, Ringo
Keeping it simple 😄 Cheers 👍
Brilliant! You could add a lock nut on the tail stock as a minor addition.
Yea that's not a bad shout 👍

One of my least favorite things to do in life is spend money on things I could make myself😄

They are relatively cheap to buy but even so, it's just more fun building stuff 😄
Well done Ash
I have done things like that
Cheap Lidl work mate with a bit of ply on to and a circular saw and router screwed under
I like your style
I'm not afraid to try anything haha 😄

Cheers,, 🍻😎👍
That wobbly wood needs a hole and peg in it haha
I thought that but then it wouldn't be adjustable. Think I will some some kind of slider with a screw to clamp it in place
Brilliant that will become a well used machine as you develop it, and your skills, it's only downfall, it makes an awful mess! 👍
