"Portals" have long been a popular modification in the mud bogging niche of ATV and SxS off-roading, with Super ATV being a leading manufacturer. Portals contain gears that reduce the gearing output of the machine, significantly increasing torque but reducing speed. Additionally, portals serve as a lift by moving the wheel hub downward. The amount of gear reduction and lift height are key parameters, with common choices being 4 and 6 inches of lift and 45% or 65% gear reduction. For more extreme setups, there are models offering lifts of 8, 10, or 12 inches with gear reductions up to 85%. This extreme modification allows ATVs and SxS vehicles to run on massive 44-inch paddle tires, often seen in social media posts.
Just wanted to chime in and say congrats on 100K subs. I’m an OG to the channel, subbed in 2018 when I got my ‘17 TRD Pro 4R in cement, which you helped me decide to pull the trigger on.
Even if I don't have the truck, I appreciate the coverage for future (and current) builds! Honestly looking forward to the Stout. (Happy with my 2022 Lunar Rock Trd Sport- Premium). Firt Yota was the '88/'89 Baja edition. Toyota Pickup. Lots of chrome and fun. This channel is a fun one for nostalgia. And future.
New subscriber here Jon love the channel great content! I don’t get all the whining from all the hatters? Pissing and moaning about it being a hybrid and “we’ll see about the longevity “, it’s freaking Toyota. Longevity is what they do, there the OG’s of hybrids if anyone is going to make a reliable hybrid it’ll be Toyota.
People used to buy Toyotas because they were affordable, reliable, and simplistic. Also they held there resale value like crazy. Those days are over. You need to be an electrical engineer to work on these new vehicles and quality control has clearly disappeared.
Too big. Overwhelm the subtle design of the LC which I think is the point. 33 is the ideal size to complement the look in my opinion. New 4Runner is over styled and will look good with 37s. I force 4max will explode along with the transmission with non factory wheels.
let’s not talk about the 2nd gen tundra camshaft balance issue… 😱. or the tacoma frame rust recalls… i love toyota but seriously man. ALL new vehicles go through growing pains, it’s how they are addressed and handled is what counts.

My issue is you can get a Colorado or a Ranger for 5-6k cheaper. Nissan even more. A ZR2 loaded is the same price as a TRD off-road. It's not the price as much as what you're getting compared to the competition.
@@ALMX5DP "rated" after or before it got turbo to squeeze out the HP and torque? For example: You have 2 carts equal in weight. You have a young big bull and a young small bull. You give the smaller bull lots of whipping for it to pull the cart. The bigger bull would also be whipped but occasionally to pull the same weighed cart. Which of them gonna die first?
That little kid at the end😂😂😂 You handled him and kept on filming pretty awesomely.
Hahah thanks man!
Man, those Land Cruisers look so good! ...and loving the old Toyota trucks, too! Thanks for showing us around, Jon.👍
Glad you like them! It was fun to see everything :)
The heritage blue is my favorite!
Looks super good!
I’d like to see it flexed with the 37s. I’d love to toss 37s on the 200 but it is far from easy.
For sure! I agree
Sema is coming up, please make it a point to that Land Cruiser.
Great job on the video Jon! Thanks for making it.
This was an awesome walk around of the show...Thanks!

Solid build plan right there. This one is gonna be a wild build though when Jeff is done with it.

The Chloe Kuo cameo. Lol.
I have eye on the new LC. Was wondering if anyone has done a swap from the LC square headlights to the 1958 round lights?
Not yet. But I don’t see why that won’t be available in the future
Last video - "Awe babe, 35's rub 😢" , next video, 37's !!!!

Hey Jon
How about a full comparison with 4 runner pro
Rear leg room behind your driving position
Cargo space
Seat comfort front and rear etc
I’ve done that with the TRD Pro I believe.
But if not then I will make sure to do that in the future when I get my hands on it again
@@TRDJon the current 4Runner?

Very true. And loosing their uniqueness. The new Landcruiser looks like a new Bronco and Defender morphed together.

BTW waiting for the European LC version to arrive here so I can test drive it.
That’s gonna be rad with the diesel!!
I thought you & the misses were moving down to Tampa/StPete?
Hoping so!

Those fenders are way too close to the tires. Needs more lift.
Jon I never looked yet but do the new turbo 4s require premium gas? I assume so but curious.
It says it does on the cap but only for optimum performance
35’s would have been more than enough….personally i would put 33’s on it
Which look is better on the Land Cruiser. The 35s or the 37s?
35" IMO
Of those two options I’d say 35s
Is this getting recalled too?
Why would it?
