--- About the Tube Stories
We are Kim Henry and Eric Paré. We are a dancer/photographer duo making our way using a tube, a feather, and a flashlight. Everything we do is lit by hand, one frame at a time. Light-painting for us is a lifestyle, and this is what we share with our audience. The purpose of the Tube Stories is to bring a brighter and more colorful night to whoever is going to cross our path. Our work has been presented on the BBC, CNN, MTV, VICE, TEDx and much more.

I just bought 6 Small light-painting tubes online after seeing this video. The small tubes got me interested because that is something I am more likely to be able to afford than the longer tubes and it is easier to store away on the go. I look forward to trying them out.

Beautiful video! Why do I watch videos on RUclips on how to make X or Y light effect? Because I love to take ideas and get inspired, because I want to take pics outdoors or macro table tops. Because I love being creative yet original and I truly love photography, to meet new people with common interest and make friends along the way. Because to create something new out of your own imagination you need to learn new skills and to work on yourself. All that takes us closer to God.

hi Eric, while other ppl on YT lightpaint, I'm always amazed by your another-level work and esp like that you freely share technical details of HOW. also love you include your kit kat. glad he's still around after all this time. what is his name? I mighta missed it in earlier vid.
my question is why do you prefer T8 (1") tubes over T12's (1.5")? larger ones allow use of more common, brighter, more powerful, longer lasting flashlights. rather than speculate that size of larger tubes make less desirable images etc, I'd like to hear your opinion. also I'm enjoying use of 3" wide multicolor stacks in tubes giving the rainbow effects (and matching color combos is fun) now. you also made vid w/Kyo tubes and acrylic blades once. any plans for more? suggestion; while Kim is stunning and vids woudnt be same w/o her, find a local martial artist who does Japanese weapons esp katanas, sais, bos and maybe even 3-sectional staff (hard to find ppl who can even halfway do it, its very difficult weapon to use). their fluidity of movement and weapons skill might lend elegance to photos. I'm not there anymore but am going to try it in next few weeks. good luck, cant wait til next vid.

i like how they say it not about money or selling these but they sell their kits full kits for for almost for almost 800 usd. for 3$ t-8 florescent light protectors tubes😂

Just to clarify, there's nothing at 800$ on that store. I don't know where you got that. Also, when people buy from us, it's not about tube guards, but the assembly, the multiple layers inside the tubes, the accessories, etc. The pricing is established to keep a sustainable business and you'd be surprised by the cost of everything that goes into the making of a single tube.
