way too expensive. You can get 3 cheap real shotguns for the price of that. I was shocked when i saw the price, i was legit ready to buy one.
Thanks Cory
That's simply because you can't afford it.
@@williambray4134wanna buy a million dollar pencil or are you a brokie?
1200.00 hahahahaha!!! Fuk that mess.
some of us just want to defend ourselves, some of us have no other way.
Those old Howdah type pistols are very cool. Protection from tigers in a golden age of exploration. I’ve always wanted one. Thanks for the video
Love it IronMike
I have a Howdah and like the 209 primer that the diablo 12 has, and 12 guage instead of 20 guage is having me thinking OH YEAH .
Great timing, I've been thinking about buying an 8" Desperado. Be careful, you're not supposed to dry fire these.
Hope you check it out SilverBack
Any black powder, muzzle loader never needed a 4473 filled out.
*yet
Correct
Not necessarily. Cabela's requires you to fill one out for black powder. It's probably not legit and doesn't really make it to the nfa atf department. But now the company has records. All thanks to people "felons" not keeping a good secret "secret"
Unless you live in Ohio
I thought the same about the price when first almost bought it lol could buy way cooler shotguns for less
Very cool gun but way too expensive. It should be half that price.
Thanks Curly
That's a tell tale sign that you want one but you can't afford it.
@@williambray4134 that comment is a tell tale sign that you're really dumb.
its that price because it can be mailed, and thus available to folks that might not be able to walk into a gun store and purchase......
They have models in the $500 range.
They make one with a shoulder stock now. That makes it less of a toy and much more useful.
I saw that - super cool
I want 1 in a wood shoulder stock, and the Desperado 8" pistol grip.
My experience with AGC: Excellent customer service, prompt email response to questions, beautiful craftsmanship & function.
Made a holster from an inexpensive ($14) kit for carrying this classic hand cannon.
You said you made a holster from an inexpensive $14 kit, for carrying this classic hand cannon. Where did you get that kit from, and what was that kit called ? Company's name and address is ... ?
Did you get that $14 (holster)kit from AGC ?
Purchased from Hobby Lobby. I think it's a Tandy Leather kit. Only adjustment I made was gluing in a felt liner to avoid direct contact with leather.
Interesting review, Dan.
As a Black Powder specialty series bullet inventor, I reached out to the manufacturer, American Gun Craft, and they have extremely poor customer service with not responding to inquiries.
Their products are very high priced expensive. With such a costly product, I noticed that there is room for improvements to be made.
Such as adding an adapter for Musket Caps, a Captive Steel Loading Lever. As well as offering rifled barrel models in different configurations such as in Over and Under.
If you can, Dan, try to get a hold of a Czech made Greatgun Black Powder rifled percussion Derringer in 54 caliber Over and Under to review.
I appreciate the feedback MrKaido. You sure knwo your black powder
Great pirate pistol 😂...thanks for the look...
Thanks bro
I love these occasional deviations from the norm. That was fun looks fun. THNX!
I appreciate that Alan
I’ll stick with my 160 year old muzzleloading side by side 12 gauge… nice shotgun pistol you bought though, glad to see that it serves you so well.
I got the 6" Diablo a few months back lightly used at a pawn shop for $300. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but looking forward to it. Just a note, read your manual, there warnings in it that says in bold print "do not dry fire!".
Thanks Gary. Guess I need to read more
The only way to get one of these at a Reasonable Price Point. Good Score, Gary.👍
Is that the double barrel that our Commander In Cheap diapers recommend we shoot off our balcony to thwart off instruders? 🤣
Very interesting shotgun Dan,thank you! Very cool.
Much appreciated Buz
It's out there ! Appreciate the video/clip
Thanks Clay
Holy Smokes! You call it "easy", I say it's for viewing purposes only!! Great review, of a 12g I'll admire but never own.
👍👍That’s really cool Dan, thanks for sharing.
Thanks Lance
Another cool gun I'll have to get one of these days lol.
Good stuff Chubby
I was looking at these a few months ago, i liked the Diablo. They're definitely a cool, different handgun. Always enjoy watching 👍👍
Very cool Jim
Nice black 💥 Dan!
Thanks man
Very cool!
several years ago I ordered one after 3 months and no firearm I cancelled my order I also had time to think I could buy a real pistol for that price
Very Cool
Definitely a cool work around
Agreed Joe
I would guess the 209 & pellet combo wouldn't be as humidity sensitive as loose powder and a cap was years ago.
Looks like a lot of fun 👍🇺🇸
Thanks Jesse
NO GUN FOR YOU! "We ship directly to the customer’s door throughout the United States, except for customers in New Jersey, Washington D.C., New York State and Illinois. In these areas we will ship to a FFL licensed dealer."...
Thanks for the feedback
Sweet Jesus, even California lets you order a black powder gun right to your door......
@@phill1777Lol... *..."lets".*
@@aldousorwell3807 Yeah, I hear ya.

Looks like fun dan
Appreciate it Cam
I like it, looks fun.👍 very pretty gun.
Thanks Chris
Stop dry firing it unless it has old primers installed! I have two of the 6" models and gave $450 each. I bought the larger grips so all fingers fit. I put loose powder in sandwich wrap. I twist up a little bag and tie with thread. I grease the over shot card and put clear nail polish around the primers. It stays loaded for a year or more and still fires normally.
They should have called it "The Road Warrior"! Because it looks familar.
Thanks Chris
Nice Black Powder Howda, Dan!
Thanks Joe
Wow these are 800 dollars now I remember seeing them on Armslist for like 200 or 300 bucks
American Gun Craft?
Dan I have been watching your videos for years. The Rossi m64 vs Taurus 66/which is the better choice? Thanks
I appreciate you sticking with me for years John. I would love to compare those but need a Taurus 66
Cool looking.
And just plain fun. 👍🫡🇺🇸
Thanks bro - no doubt
That's neat. 👍👍
Thanks Dragon
Nice! Came close getting one. For me I would use it maybe 2x then put it in my safe. You never know. My Thompson contender 357 could use company!!! Cool gun. With all the current ATF issues they may get more popular!!
Love it❤
I took my “Diablo “ to the range. First shot , everyone was like damn dude!!! Wth is that haha it’s pretty fun.
I would love to get a little double barrel like that. Dont think id have the patience for black powder though😊
That sure is cool Dan
Black powder is something I'd love to get into, but I'm not sure if I want to go down that rabbit hole
It's a whole new game bro. TAB helped a lot
That's cool
Thanks bro
Wow '' Another Great Video 💯💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
Thanks so much TMF
Did you take out the breech plugs when you cleaned it ? If so , do they have a limit when you screw them back in or did you decide when enough was enough?
The breach plugs have a stop. They finger screw in then hit a solid ring. Easy to do.
@@myfavoritemartian1 thank you
Pretty cool 👍
Thanks MCK
Thanks
Thanks man
So now Don is your gunbearer? Interesting pistol, but I'm thinking you need two in old-west style drop holsters. 😎
any thought on making paper cartages and forgetting the wads?
Not yet but possibly
The Pydrodex pellets don't seem to make as much smoke as black powder. How heavy can you load these?
Around 60 grain
As heavy as you want.
Very cool, but a little above my pay grade lol.
Thanks for checking it out Kerry
Just out of curiosity, I looked this thing up. $ 716.00 !!!????!!! Absolutely ridiculous! You can get a Traditions black powder steel frame 6 shot, 44 cal. revolver for $300 and have something actually useable.
Very cool
Thanks man
that there is 1 dem hand cannons
Haha thanks Gonz0
I'm interested in the chamber pressure it can handle 🤔
They suggest 50 - 60 grains of powder
@@TheFireArmGuyso around 75?
@@InTheYear75 what?
@@Sparks00psn grain weight of powda. Always exceed maximum by about 50%
@@InTheYear black powder is a little different. I’ve seen an IV8888 video where he fills a barrel with powder and the rifle is fine
Nice
A nice howdy do gun.
So is it smooth bore or rifled barrel?
Smooth bore
Not for me....enjoyed your video though, as always!
When you load it if you don't also use a fiber wad you can deforme the pellets
I would luuv to go to New York City and carry that while riding the subways !
Cool shot pistol
Thanks Bob
You need to use cushion wads over the over powder wad. You will get much better patterns.
Thanks David. I have those larger fiber wads too
In free states you've always been able to get blackpowder shotguns + rifle and air guns without an FFL transfer as they are not considered firearms.
I WAS going to comment that for the price I would go with a Pedersoli Howda - then I checked the current price for the Pedersoli, and the Desperado started to look pretty good (if you don't already have a Howda).
Thanks man
Wow would be good but I live in softcock Australia so I'm not allowed to Owen a rubber band
The prices make these a novelty unless you are a felon and this is your only option. Even then, why not a large caliber black powder revolver? Fun toy, but I have plenty of toys. I have too many toys ahead in the line before I would buy this. Great video, thank you.
👍🏻👍🏻
Cool
Thanks man
Bro 7 to 880$ for a blackpowder pistol 😂 back when the world was sane, you could get stuff like this for less then a 1/4 of that price of. I don't see a need or a purpose for this thing. There are much better ways to accomplish what this firearm is trying to do. They have complete finished pistol kits from traditions sent to your house for 3 to 400 depending on options and it comes with everything you need.
Life is full of choices
Unique? Somewhat. Waaaaayyy too expensive. To each their own.
i'm surprised atf goons haven't gone after it. looks like boring out for 12 gauge cartriidges would be too easy.
Thanks David
Yeah that's about all most will be allowed to own soon.
Sure you can own one of these in New York State, BUT once you have all the components to fire ANY black powder firearm you MUST register it on your handgun license if it has a barrel shorter than 18 inches. Other than that you can look at it in your home but if you use it in a home defense situation or go out to shoot it on the range and get caught, you will go to jail and ALL your firearms will be confiscated.
Nice firearm! Too expensive for my tastes but too much work too. A version of this with standard 12 Ga shells would be ideal and a lot easier to use. would be good for home protection for older people that don't like pistols!
Unfortunately, this is not shipped to your door in every state.
Bummer man
How did you manage to pull that off? I know my state that’s a felony. Even black powder they don’t allow it.
It's actually pretty common with black powder firearms
Which state are you in? I’d say that in 95% of places in the USA, muzzle loading guns are considered firearms.
@@66smithra I’m in NJ. We are talking about a state that made slingshots illegal
@@deckerhand12 that’s too bad!
One can argue that a felon cannot own this because it isn't a replica nor a antique firearm that predates 1898.
Cute! That said, I'd stick to historically significant muzzleloading black powder firearms like the Colt 1853 Navy Revolver and the Springfield Model 1861 rifle... replicas for shooting/reenactment use.
Thanks Lutz
I can see it being used in a Tarantino movie 🍿
I bought one exactly like this except mine was nickel metals. Unfortunately it was illegal. I bought it for $25 and sold it to a corrupt cop for $50. He lead me to believe I was in trouble for having it. Wasn't until after I sold it that I realized "wait a minute ". Dumb stuff that happens when you're young
Id be down if it had like a 20in bbl and a stock
Gotta be honest ive always wanted a colt dragoon or old army, but ill probably never see one. This things cool though.
Wow i want one
Good stuff man
Expensive novelty nothing more but if u can afford it to add to the collection nothing wrong with that at all
cool
I’m surprised more people aren’t talking about agc
Hopefully this will get the conversation going
Sweet
Thanks Michael
A cool firearm but a bit rich for my blood, I would rather pony up for a Rossi Brawler.
Its neat but I feel like its mostly just a novelty
If you like shooting that pistol, then check out a Howdah pistol in either a 58 cal x 58 cal, a 50 cal x 50 cal or a 20 ga x 20 ga. They even make a 50 cal x 20 ga. Pedersoli out of Italy makes them. They are replicas of when tiger hunting from the back of an elephant was a thing in India. It was a weapon of last resort. If a wounded tiger crawled up the elephant to attack, you had two shots to try and knock it down. It is a true muzzle loader since you use #10 percussion caps on external nipples for ignition. What you have sort of blurs the line in my opinion. Have fun. Cheers!
Great comment Luther. I would love to check out Howdah
Make yourself a wooden loading stand, makes life much better.
A few people here have commented that it is not supposed to be dry fired. What is the reason why the manufacturer recommends to not dry fire this gun? I can't think of a mechanical reason why dry fire would do any harm. Can anyone explain?
It confuses me too radom
Why pay that price? You can get Howdah pistols or a baker shotgun in several configurations and they are all interchangeable. Plus, you can make paper cartridges for the howdah speeding up the reloading process. You don't have to breach the gun to put primers on. And yes, it ships to your house also.
From where? If you don't mind my asking.
@@brucetepke8150 Dixie gun works, midway arms and many others.
@@brucetepke8150 Also, despite what experts say, you can reload any cartridge with black powder. Don't believe everything the experts tell you. Many of the civil war weapons toward the end were highly accurate out to 400 yards. Or take the Whitworth as an example. .451 cal and accurate out to 1600 yards. 4th longest kill shot in the world. And that was from SC to Ft. Sumpter. 7" drop on straight line trajectory. 1 mile shot. And half the price of a Barret or more.
I cringed every time you dry fired it.
Wow, that's one bad boy! And the beauty of it is that it's not classified as a firearm so people who are restricted or live in some restricted States can get an effective home defense firearm......er, gun! Two rounds of buckshot would handle quite a few situations.
Perfectly said Leonard
As soon as I heard the price, I lost interest. You could buy a Mossberg shockwave and several boxes of ammo for the same price..
That would be a hand full
Kool
I love it, but you get the same out of a sawed off with the whole paperwork.
I keep getting ads for these shotguns. Beautiful craftsmanship but a bit spendy
Thanks Stewart
Since this isn't a "firearm" , isn't it legal to carry anywhere ?
Yes
Check your state laws. Not all states define firearms the same as the feds. Some restrict antique firearms. Plus, even federal law may restrict other weapons in some areas, like post offices.
i don't recommend it. the muzzleloader "exemptions" aren't recognized in most states. you might get away with buying one, but carrying it is a whole different jungle.
Black powder pistols and rifles are not classified as firearms.. They can be possessed and carried by felons too
@whatsup24_7
NO. Not True.
In some states, yes, in other states No. It's up to the user to " Know before you go"!
