      You forgot to mention that there's never been a guitarist so versatile in the styles he can play to perfection. Al Di Meola aptly described Matteo's ability as that of a sponge, which can absorb all the genres almost immediately. He also put his finger on the fact that today's kids learning an instrument have the ability to access instantly on their smart phones/computers everything ever recorded.

      It's a Cover actually, original by Tony Williams ("Fred") I think. Allan Holdsworth was on guitar in this Track and Matteo is probably just improvising over this song in his fusion-like mastery of the guitar. He is really on that Holdsworth Level and maybe even above. Great!

    Absolutely top drawer guitarist! His classical guitar training provides the foundation, but this lad isn't afraid to explore electric genres and often does generous tributes to Hendrix and Jeff Beck. Yamaha is very lucky to have him as their ambassador, and his playing pulls Yamaha further into the spotlight as being very underrated compared to the now somewhat elitist Gibson and Fender granddaddies. The Revstar Pro series stands up to any Les Paul at half the price. I've got one and its factory set up was perfect and a joy to play right out of the box. One also thinks of Mike Stern's battered Pacifica 'Tele'. There's a reason such exemplary guitarists have stuck with Yamaha for years. Mancuso's Helix (another great Yamaha product) settings are well rounded, from delightful chimes and acoustic tones to soaring 3D stereo anthems. Hope he publishes his favourites one day. I own a US-made Strat, a mid-range Ibanez '335' and the Revstar Pro, and I play the latter a lot more than the other two. Great vid!

    Mancuso è forse il miglior chitarrista jazz come tecnica ed ispirazione. Sono 47 anni che ascolto solo jazz ed ho conosciuto personalmente anche qualche caposcuola del jazz (viaggi di lavoro e frequentazioni di organizzatori di concerti e giornalisti). NOn penso di esagerare nel dire di non trovarsi solo davanti ad un grande musicista ma a molto di più.

      Finalmente qualcuno che ne capisce! Bravo. Solo un piccolo appunto : MM è a suo agio nel jazz, ma anche nel rock, blues, country, pop, fusion. Non c'è genere in cui non si sia cimentato con enorme classe e stile. La tecnica in lui, pur straordinaria, viene in secondo piano. Vengono prima musicalità, emozione, espressione, profondità

    • @martinoestate4758
      @martinoestate4758 Год назад

      @@consulentecomunicazionestr3072 il resto che hai indicato è roba semplice. Nel jazz esalti tecnica, composizione, creatività, armonia, virtuosismo e spettacolarità. Il jazz più di altri generi è anche linguaggio e se non sei di quel genere non ce la farai mai a suonarlo a quei livelli.

    • @consulentecomunicazionestr3072

      @@martinoestate4758 o meglio, chi suona jazz (parliamo di tecnica) può suonare anche tutti gli altri generi, mentre non è possibile il contrario. Però, attenzione. La musica non è solo tecnica. È attitudine, gusto, ascolti, ispirazione. Chi suona jazz non è detto che sappia suonare rock. Anzi. Non è poi sempre vero che il resto sia "semplice". Robben Ford o Jeff Beck nel blues non suonano roba semplice. I King Crimson e i Genesis ad esempio nel rock suonano roba semplice? Non direi. Sono mondi espressivi diversi. Ebbene, MM sembra padroneggiare con naturalezza i generi musicali più disparati, sempre con grande competenza, cuore e tecnica sublime

    • @martinoestate4758
      @martinoestate4758 Год назад

      @@consulentecomunicazionestr3072 Sull'attitudine sono pienamente d'accordo. C'è da dire anche che chi è portato per il jazz difficilmente non ne ha attitudine. Questo vale anche per i musicisti jazz meno dotati. Quello che ho potuto notare è che il musicista mediocre spessissimo è un grandissimo ascoltatore e conoscitore. Ho imparato molto nell'ascolto (non ho mai preso uno strumento in mano in vita mia e ne canto - ho 60 anni ed è tardi per me) da musicisti mediocri che mi hanno consigliato dischi e libri. Di contro molti mostri sacri del jazz non ascoltavano nulla, se non la musica dal vivo quando finivano di suonare. Questo per dire che l'attitudine salta fuori soprattutto quando sei più concentrato sullo strumento e lo studio, che non sull'ascolto e la ricerca di nuove sonorità ed armonie sul mercato. Sono opinioni le mie, magari mi sbaglio.

      @@martinoestate4758 siamo coetanei! 😎Vedi, io penso che non ci siano regole precise e valide per tutti. C'è chi ascolta moltissimo (lo stesso Mancuso, ad esempio), ed è un grande musicista, oppure l'inverso. C'è chi non ascolta, ed è mediocre. Insomma non ci sono schemi. L'ascolto è alla base secondo me di un buon musicista, oltre a studio e talento. Solo l'ascolto, se hai sensibilità, ti può aiutare a comprendere le sfumature degli stili, del fraseggio e dell'armonia

In my opinion it is not important to walk around, while the maestro is playing - I'd say, it will even be disturbing for the audience in general. Sometimes in the beginning was the chance to have some of never seen crazy, viruoso lines and unique moments of Matteo playing special and funny stuff right on camera, but in that moments the camera went through the room.

    That last tune, "Room 335", was from Larry Carlton's debut album in 1979. It was his address in L.A. and sadly, the place where he was later shot and seriously wounded by a gang member in a senseless and unprovoked act, the motivation of which has never been explained. Fortunately, Larry fully recovered and was able to resume his career. To my mind, this tune is one of the most beautiful West Coast fusion numbers ever recorded.
