Thank you for this. Thankfully the character was mostly in a somewhat dark space and moving slowly so the ghosting isn't really at all noticeable. I even doubled over footage twice and it still helped with flicker even more.

Thanks Dominic, the Deflicker effect in DVR Studio comes in very handy!
I did not. I work with a lot of different people and we're always sharing Resolve projects and having different people edit on them so we try to use little to no 3rd party plugins within our workflows
I tried the DaVinchi on deflicker, a custom flicker remover and Boris flicker remover. On a dynamic footage, not static. All I figured they all don't do magic. None of them did any job in my case. But what they all do pretty perfect - they successfully use as much power of your comp and GPU as possible and it takes forever on files more than a few seconds long. I gonna try see a hidden Fusion node to do the job, AI language model just suggested. It is named The Frame Average node.
I use my iphone to capture 8mm film playback from a screen. The resulting video often has pulsing brightness, approx 2 pulses per second. This is due of course to the different frame rates. Would DR Studio's deflicker reduce this effect, and average out the brightness for the frames in a scene?
hello :) How do you move your items "frame by frame" on the timeline ? i mean, when i slide my rush, it's just slide and i dont know how many frame did i move :( thank's a lot
If you zoom in close enough on the timeline and start sliding a clip over you’ll see a little tooltip appear next to the cursor indicating how many frames you’re offsetting the clip. Let me know if that helps!
Noob question: is what you just did in this video the same thing as other commenters below when they are referencing the "deflicker effect"? Does DVR have an anti-flicker function built-in?
Hi hope all is well with you and your family for real. Question I have davinci resolve 18 can it fix this video. I try every setting with no luck. ruclips.net/video/KcBufR2ZZcg/видео.html&ab_channel=RetroFreshGaming
Though the shot I was tring to save was like 1.5 secs. It means the world that I saved it with this method. You helped someone today. Thanks bro.
Glad to hear it!!
Didnt work for me. Still flickering.

It sure does! A lot of Resolve’s simple effects work so well
Thanks! Love Tutorials that work and dont wased time
Me too! That’s why I try to make them straight to the point!
Did you compare this deflicker in Davinci Resolve with Digital Anarchy Flicker Free plugin?
I did not. I work with a lot of different people and we're always sharing Resolve projects and having different people edit on them so we try to use little to no 3rd party plugins within our workflows
Thanks Men! Saves me a lot trouble!☺☺☺
Life saver. Thank you!
You bet!!

Thank you brother for this easy method you've showed us.

I believe it would! I’ve found the tool in DR Studio to be most effective erratic, unpredictable flickering like what you’re talking about
Aye looking good! You've helped my videos a lot 💪
Thanks bro! Appreciate you 🙌🏼
Super helpful! Thanks brother
Hartelijk bedankt
Hi! I just wanted to ask! How do I do this without paying pro?
THANK YOU DUDE, REALLY USEFUL FOR ME
I’m glad it helped!
super helpful!
Why thank you my good man(Spanky from Little Rascal’s voice) you saved my broll 😄🙌🏾
Glad I could help!
Great tips, thanks for sharing!
Thanks for checking it out!
Thank you for this.
this is very helpgful broo
Glad it worked for you!
Lifesaver. 10/10. Nothing more to say.
I appreciate it!
Does it work for rolling lines in the footage as well?
I believe the Resolve effect does. Using the basic method of duplicating the clip has pretty poor results with the rolling lines in my experience.
Incredibly brilliant! Thank you.
You're very welcome!
what a great video, it really solved my problem
I love to hear that! 🙌🏼
very helpful video. thank you so much
@@dilmohote4642 you bet! I’m glad it worked for you!
Is there a way in davinci to resolve this ghosting thats occuring from changing the opacity to 50?
Unfortunately not. That is the downside with the first technique. I would only use that one if your scene and subject are relatively static
Much appreciated. Saved me today.
Glad it helped!

Resolve does have a flicker removing effect built into the studio version. The effect is called “deflicker”. I hope this helps!
Thanks bro.
Many Thanks
You bet! I’m glad it helped.
Thanks.
thanks bro.
damn.... one more reason to consider switching to resolve.....well....or check my camera ops work better on set. lol
thanks thanks thankss
You bet! 🙌🏼
Noob question: How to get rid of flickering while shooting?
Set the proper frame rate, adjust shutter speed accordingly and that's it.

you kidding. DaVinci Resolve is for editing video, not photo. You edit not moving objects. Are you serious ?
I lost brain cells reading this
@RustyShackleford9000 me too, kid
@@DominicKrupp lol this video was a lifesaver btw!
