I’m part japanese and I’m not whining that my people were hated and put in internment camps. The thing is no one I know was involved in locking up my family. I’ve been poor my whole life too, and been slowly clawing my way out of poverty. I never blamed my financial struggles on past racism or internment camps. All I know is that I was broke af and I decided to take the needed steps to change that. I’m still kinda broke but through hard work my husband and I are homeowners with paid off vehicles and even some investments. Playing the victim will make you a victim of your own defeatist mindset. It’s a self fulfilling prophecy.

I grew up in a mobile home community and went to ALL of exactly same schools as the black community in my hometown. Both of my siblings and I are comfortable upper middle class now. I believe that our biggest problem is our own home culture, not our environmental treatment. People raised in pessimistic homes will likely set lower standards for themselves.
Or resort to more unsavory ways to gain a foothold on prosperity.

Through these struggles and adversaries, we invented and made incredible advancements in science and technology, while our philosophers sought to create a society where each individual person had the ability, possibility and responsibility to succeed or fail. We’ve experienced two world wars that killed almost 100 million European men, women and children and now we see our ancestral homelands being given to people who hate us.

I’m from Asia living in America. My cousin who came to America 10 years ago started getting into sushi business since 2018. He and his wife work so hard and they are really dedicated to their work and they only have “1 OFF DAY” in a year which is Christmas Day. He told me that he now has over a million dollar in his bank and bought 3 houses all paid off. No there’s no such thing as white privileged. He hires white people as his employees too now that his business is expanded. It’s all about hard work and dedication. As a white man born in Ireland i have never come across white privilege not once. Just worked hard bought a simple home. I am 70 years old and struggling to live of my so-called old aged pension.

I'm not surprised. We used to teach about racism and treating each other equally. We taught it to all children, in the same way.
These days, lessons about racism is now targeted and includes a built in villain. Victims and villains are taught as inherent. It's a disgusting and evil ideology.

I'm a white guy, and I've physically attacked several times for explicitly racist reasons.
These individuals are a perfect example of college being a scam. I find it ironic how they claim that data and facts can be manipulated when it comes to police force yet they don’t believe any of the data they “study” and find to be true can be. So, who would it be returned to exactly? Since Native tribes would slaughter and kill each other to steal land from another tribe? Native Americans engaged in wars for land, for resources, for enslaved people, for religious reasons, for cultural reasons, and for every other reason that other races and regions of the world go to war.
For example, the Comanche raided everywhere. They preyed upon the Navajo, who were in New Mexico and Arizona; the Creeks and Cherokee battled each other for years. So basically, no one is truly innocent here. I'm not denying the atrocities that Native Americans experienced. Still, as someone who is half-Cherokee myself, I'm also not denying that Native Americans were 100% innocent people and never committed horrible acts.

Most people don’t do any research before forming their opinions. They are sheep and are being manipulated but get angry when you point it out. That is true with politics, religion and other aspects of life as well.
It’s an uphill battle for the people who have facts to open the eyes of those who “feel” the way they feel because emotions are stronger than reasoning. It’s a slow process, but when it clicks, it’s amazing to see.

Not married, don't have kids, graduated high school, got a job...I live in poverty though...The issue of inflation in regards to our economy doesn't help. Scared to get married because of the horror stories of divorce.

One fact you can't avoid, is that many many blacks here in america came later in our history, and their forefathers were NOT enslaved here. Furthermore, there were blacks that owned slaves as well. There were whites who were slaves. How in the world would you ever "compensate" the correct families? My own family emigrated in the early 1950's, so why do I have to pay? Here is one of my experiences with the police when I was 18, I was on a roof late at night drinking cops surrounded the place guess someone saw me go up there. I just finished my drink cops got a ladder sent one cop up, he shined light I stepped out laid on my stomach arms out, he dropped all his weight with his knee on my head, punched me in the ribs, ripped my arm back so hard it popped out of socket hand cuffed me, picked me up by the arm out of socket. I was screaming in pain asking him why he did that we were nearing the ladder to go down he whispered if I didn't shut up, he would throw me to the ground. O yeah, he was a big bald white guy, and I am a skinny white boy "so the racists can know our skin colors. in my opinion cops abuse their authority and not one single cop knows the constitution. I'd bet my bank account you can't get 1 single cop to recite the first 3 amendments. they swear to uphold something they don't know they just pass so they can get a gun and a paycheck like I said in my opinion. the constitution part that's a fact.
