    So many tutorials out there on this one, yours sounds awesome! Many ways to approach this one, and I'm still trying to perfect my version. You've given a lot of the technical details as well, with the little nuances that can be expected in every section of the song. I see that the video is four years old, but I'm glad that I ran across it. I watched another one of yours, "Runaway Boys" by the Stray Cats, which was even more helpful than this. I wish that I had a big hollow body to try these on, but I'll have to settle for my Les Paul with Humbuckers. I'll keep my eye out for more of your tutorials! Great job, thanks for sharing!

    This is great Ste and more help because you talk about not only the notes but how to feel the notes.
    I understand, we have to become the train!
    Oooo I see that stalker dislike person has returned. You have a fan I'm sure.

    Great lesson. Play gypsy guitar but bought a gretsch in March because theyre pretty and i fancied playing other things to stop me going mad in lockdown. It hurts my brain tho! Not used to multitasking, but slowly getting it together. Thanks

      I don't know what it is about this song but it drives me nuts!!! There are way more complex tunes but I can't seem to be able to pin down the rhythm to this one. I find it as elusive as a slippery eel :-)

    I've been playing guitar for over 40 years. I mean really playing. I'm no slacker. But I have trouble nailing the feel of this groove. It's that Travis picking that locks me up. I'll get it. Trust me.

    • @steb74
      @steb74  Месяц назад

      @tonywawryka7493 Well, it probably has something to do with it being a lesson and not just a playthrough with tabs slapped on.
      There are dozens of videos like that. However, I'm more interested in getting into the mechanics behind some of these techniques and offering something with a bit more meat on the bone, for those interested in that kind of thing, of course.
      Talking is 'unfortunately' necessary to achieve that.
      Pretty much all of my videos have a lot of talking, so they definitely won't be your thing.

    • @steb74
      @steb74  2 года назад

      No need for 'sorry' in the least John, I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment.
      My videos though, are for those who wish to learn and gain something beyond the superficial and that requires talking and explanations.
      I guess that my videos are kind of an extension of my private classes.
      For a quick playthrough and tabs, youtube has no shortage of those.
      In that sense, my videos aren't necessarily for everybody.
      Cheers!

      If I remember correctly, I only say what I believe is necessary ....no more, no less.
      For anyone not interested in listening I'd recommend just listening to the original as it's easy enough to figure it.
