I've had the k9 alarms for a few years now and still as good as new. Water as never been a problem. I love that they turn the bivvy light on. On the k9s light comes on with the colour of alarm then goes white. Also you can get a rechargeable battery pack which last for ages before recharging for £15.
They do have a lot of features, to many for me but as long as he likes them and they work as should, that's all that matters, must admit I was tempted my self when first seen them, most alarms now have different batteries then the normal AA AAA
I have e the S9s which are good especially for the price other than if it rains the bite alarm speakers fill with water and are inaudible so you need the receiver on, other than that they are fine especially for the pricepoint
Nice alarms Wayne 👌 I use fox MR+ which I love, so many decent ones out there nowadays. Hopefully they'll be making plenty of noise for u this season 😁
Nice review mate. But I've read these alarms eat batteries, a couple of folk said they were flat after a week session. Have you noticed massive battery usage? - Are these the K9s?, just read the battery life has been improved. Where did you buy them as they seem sold out all over? Cheers mate
Hi mate, I’ve found the battery life on the K9s to be spot on. I haven’t had to change them yet and that’s over a good few sessions. The receiver says there’s about 80% left as well. I got them from Amazon.
I think they’re really good alarms mate. Probably too technical tbf. My one gripe with them is that you can’t just buy the batteries from the shop. You need to order ND specific ones off Amazon.
Ay up lads they still holding out alright on the verge of buying them but I had a mate that said they had issues with the seal failing and them and water getting in?

Hi Paul, this is an honest review. We didn’t get paid for it so we have nothing to falsify, and wouldn’t falsify even if it was paid. I’ve done 3 48 hour sessions before needing to change the batteries, which I do think is not long enough in all honesty. Maybe we didn’t use them long enough before reviewing.

So are they worth the money? Or would a set of fox bite alarms be money better spent?

Yeah Wayne really likes them! Time will tell if he ends up using the endless list of features 😂😂
Can you use illuminating bobbins with these can’t seem to get them to work. Great review guys.
