Though civics are the butt of all car jokes these honda vids are bringing me back to my times living in a small town working on cars with friends and I like it.
It's really good to see these two young fellas are angry about styrofoam cups at the football field. ALL MY FRIENDS. C L E A N L I F E G R O U P 2 0 0 4
I just love the fact that you bought the boxy civic and not one of the newer ones. Give it some wheels and horsepower and it's gonna be amazing because it already looks great. Good choice DJ!
That's definitely a wheel problem. One could be bent or out of balance, or the tires could be toast. Have it diagnosed when you get it aligned. You can test the wheel bearing by jacking the front wheel up and trying to push on the wheel on left or right (like turning but only one wheel). If it has a ton of play, the wheel bearing is shot, but it's more than likely a wheel/tire issue.
Long time viewer... met you guys a couple times at driftcon now. Cool to see u guys are doing a Civic. as I'm a civic guy. Welcome to the realm of civic problems... funny I have the same exact problem with a wheel bearing on my 7th gen civic :P love this CONTENT!
DJ's somber "why?" is me cause i've been throwing money into my is300 for months now and my problems stil havent been fixed lol also drive the civic around and kinda do some side to side manji-ing with it. if the noise gets louder when u put pressure on a certain side its deff a wheel bearing
should be doing those front control arms at road height so you don't tear the bushes as for the rears rears you don't have to as the rear bushes arent bonded to the crush tube
wheel bearing my friend. if louder when turn left it's the right front. and if louder when turn right it's left bearing. they are press in design but pretty easy
check tires. use hand to go over tires to check if threads are smooth and not lumpy. if its smooth then its wheel bearing issue. you can test by jacking up the side that the noise is coming from and rock the wheel side to side. if there is play then bearing is bad. Bad bearing doesn't have to have play to be bad...low or no grease in bearing will make it go bad as well without showing signs of play. Last thing would be the axle nut if not bolted all the way it can cause damage to bearing which can cause the noise.
DJ I had two blown wheel bearings on my eg civic at around 300,000 kms, I found it's cheaper and a whole heck easier to just buy 2 second hand front hubs off a car with lesser kms as it's easier than pressing them out and ordering new bearings. Hope this helps much love from Straya
yo the vid where you both got some tats done by the dude in LA and both of the tats were rad. Would be sick if both of you dudes did a video on your tattoos. Great vids btw keep up the good work
My front offside wheel bearing was fucked from when I bought my little shitbox and it was basically a massive groan any time you turned the wheel to that side of the car. Got that fixed and holy muholy it was night and day afterwards. Had to get a shop to do it though because you need a press and I ain't got no press. Only problem was I then kit a kerb doing mad FWD skids in the snow and fucked my sick steelies and either alignment/balancing. Need to get that done still. MX5/Miata this summer bois just you wait.
“Hopefully replacing wheel bearing are easy”.... lol... they pressed in so it’s going to be a pain but check the tires and wheel balancing first. There has been a handful of times it was my wheel balance that was screwed up.
wheel bearings on those arent the most fun you need to take the knuckles off and use a press to remove them. and install them. pretty clean little std tho. how do the yonakas ride?
Hope you guys see this. Cool coilover install. Check out Garage Built Hondas. Jon Widmer from Texas is an EF Civic guru. That's all he owns. He makes really great detailed DIY videos. Even has one on wheel bearings too.
did you guys torque down the axle nut to spec? I had a 91 EF for a long time and when i replaced my axles i had this issue because they werent torqued down all the way. I agree that it could be the bearing itself
I was thinking from the first video of your new car that it'd have to be the wheel bearing or a warped rotor/frozen caliper but the axle obviously did need replacing as well. Make more vids with dj's gf thanks.P.s. Garage moon power is awsome and have some cool stickers too
Quentyn please be careful with those tanakas dude. don’t cheap out on a harness, ive seen tanakas metal clasp bend easily after a few laps man. invest in some real takatas or sparco harnesses you won’t regret them. awesome video again though dude!
leave a like for this nutted up pregnant mommy of a civic
More Skids is it a 4 speed with the shitty carb with injectors on the side?... cuz I have one lol
you know it
More Skids love me some pregnant mommy civics no homo
Nutting up on pregnant civic mommies.
@moreskids get some civic ek side skirts for it and a new lip
Replace blow off valve noise’s with DJ’s sneeze from now on
the impact sneezing lmao
ya pretty fucking annoying right. "lets be as annoying as possible in any way possible."
Get a wheel alignment after all that. And that sound could be the tyres themselves could be out of round.
~Don't you know? Hondas alignment never goes out.
Previous owner was probably doing hard lockups of the brakes and making flat spots. No abs right?
Could be some cupping too if those old shocks and struts were bad.
Though civics are the butt of all car jokes these honda vids are bringing me back to my times living in a small town working on cars with friends and I like it.

Man o man, I’m exited to see how this thing comes along, I had the privilege to drive one of these not long ago and I was surprised how fun it was.
Common practice on axle nuts is to tighten it all the way to seat the bearing then back off 1/8 or 1/4 turn so the bearing isn't too tight
Can I have Dj's sneeze as my text tone?
Honestly love all of your guys content!! Rad cars+2 goofy bois=my love
Tate Carter thank you Tate!
I say this to myself every time I watch one of your vids, I LOVE your intro

Try getting y'all front wheels balanced, it's cheap enough to have done and quick and out of balance wheels can sometime cause similar effects
Do you think the tires could be flat spotted?
I got a 24 pack, fries, burger, free HBO boxing fight at 11 AND a more skids video. Gud day.
hell yeah son
Papa DJ, Please don't give up on this car. Just make it your baby!

Loving this build DJ
Try swapping that tire to a different corner and see if the noise moves with it. Wheel bearings are a good idea anyway but just for confirmation.
I'm fucking dying on DJ sneezing 😂😂😂😂😂
I always put the axle in the trans first. But whatever works I guess.
That squeeky clutch pedal noise, whats that? I have the same in my 2001 Audi A3 when the engine is up to temperature and when its driven for a bit.
DJ is like the Ebay version of his brother...
dj you can pick up a 88-89 si cluster if you want the rpm gauge
When was that wink mirror installed? I love them!
“Hopefully replacing wheel bearing are easy”.... lol... they pressed in so it’s going to be a pain but check the tires and wheel balancing first. There has been a handful of times it was my wheel balance that was screwed up.
Those LCA’s are the most civic thing I’ve seen
wheel bearings on those arent the most fun you need to take the knuckles off and use a press to remove them. and install them. pretty clean little std tho. how do the yonakas ride?
Sorry it's still a bit broken! Hope things work out! Loving the car!

EF's Sick af. Looking forward to the next mods
The LCA's would be a sick name for a band
Is DJ gonna come out and drive Summer jam at Parc?
The vibrations from the bad axle killed the wheel bearing.
Do a radiator flush, oil change, and new spark plugs video on the civic.
when looking at rear the ride looks a bit like a wagon delorean
Everytime DJ sneezed I also sneezed, allergyboi
Pro tip put more grease in your cv axle boots.
dj, that womp might be your tire out of round. you might have to get new tires
Boii that squeeky clutch tho xD
wheel bearings/ tyres/ transmission. these are my guesses. from most likely to less likely ;)
This kind of civic is my dream car not even joking
We were also butthurt you couldn't come DJ

And when is the DJ sneezin trap remix comin out?
”At least it’s gonna leave the drive way”😂😂😂
