I think the turbo oil return bung you put on the oil pan is a little low. Usually you would want them as high as possible to prevent oil from sitting in the line.
I actually saw the comment last video saying the intro music was too loud, I see you also saw that, but now it's too quiet! I clicked this video then looked at my amp wondering why my sound had suddenly gotten quieter hahaha
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>hey guys, you put your spark plug tube gaskets in upside down. i did it too my first time. it is a bigger deal than you think lol 9:42 to get them out without ripping them, use a screw driver or an "L" shaped pick to GENTLY get under them from the outside of the valve cover. they pop out super easy. also, i'm sure you already know; but for the LOVE OF GOD, the valve cover bolts are only 7 ft. lbs. don't even attempt to reuse the old ones because the OEM bolts are low grade steel and they will strip the FUCK out of the cam-caps. seriously only tighten them hand tight or you'll have to get new cam caps, it's a huge pain in the ass. also, D16z6's love to have ticking rockers, so if you're taking off the valve cover, give those rockers a quick tighten, helps with the wear. i hope this gets to you in time boys!
For the shift linking there a pin when you pull the rubber boot towards the motor youll have to bang it out I usually use a screw or something thats about the same diameter good luck!! Love the videos dudes keep it up!!
Dj could learn a thing or two from his bro 1:27 in the video I was counting on sum serious butt crack and was denied. Clearly in the presence of a professional
Even though it's extra work on the PW0 and linkage: the first gen JDM B16A from the sir is my opinion the best engine for fourth gen civic... Without even adding turbo; which is easy, you can get it over a H22 or H23 vtec
Quick question, why not put a D16Y8 and use a p28 ecu? Anyways, if you're on a budget, use y8 intake manifold has better flow and use 94-01 Integra shifter grind off 8mm on long side and 2mm on the other side. It's the most budget short throw shifter, reduces throws by 20% compared to stock single bend.
you have to put the oil drain on a high part of the pan, and far from the pickup point, or else you will have problems. a drain that low on a pan will never drain. it will fry your turbo in 10min.
When that Patreon stuff gets here imma frame that signed print for real and pray to it everyday for the strength to stay poe'd up and swing big dingers. First church of More Skids starting soon
Like it's been said that oil return isn't going to work. It needs to be above the oil level in the pan otherwise it's going to back up in the drain and cause issues.
We don't give engines enough credit, I mean they power the car... This aint a motor swap, from now on these bitches a chasis swap
🚫🧢 and anybody that’s disagrees is sexist 🤷🏾♂️
cars don't get engine swaps, engines get chassis swaps
That oil return looks WAY too low
I love that you've lowered the intro volume. It always used to blast my fucking head off. Keep up the great content!
nah being earraped by the intro was always the best part of a more skids vid lmaooo
Bitch

Every auto youtuber lately lol
This is correct, too low. Drill it at the top
Yeah Gingium put that thing up higher
@@carguy0741 Gingium's dumb
At’east an oilpan is cheap
That oil return looks super low and i'm not sure that the oil will drain properly dudes, should be higher up the pan
Yeah that looks low. Hope they don't have to fix that or else they will just have to put in a new oil pan.
Gingium just made the EXACT same mistake.
IS NO ONE GOING TO MENTION THE FACT HE JUST YOINKED AN ENTIRE ENGINE OUT THE BACK OF THE CAR?
I half way picked up an OEM ED engine once and I don't work out. I think it's within GVWR
Sohc Honda engines are not that heavy. I did it a few weeks ago when I picked up my z6. Dont get me wrong it's still an engine though lol
'That's just honda water, comes with the car" I felt that in my soul. Lmao you ain't lied yet my guy.
I have same car and I understand the Honda water. I bet we could save 50lbs just from water removal LMAO
Uhh just letting you guys know...that oil bung is placed pretty low on the oil pan...hop you don't run into problems. The higher the bung the better
I was gonna say the same thing. That thing will blow turbos for sure if that return provides Any resistance due to being below oil level
I wish my girlfriend would put my car together for me lmao
She the real MVP
That's to low for a oil drain. You want it as high above the oil as possible.
I actually saw the comment last video saying the intro music was too loud, I see you also saw that, but now it's too quiet! I clicked this video then looked at my amp wondering why my sound had suddenly gotten quieter hahaha
fuck lol
Could you bring the intro sound back up it just doesn't ring my ears like it use to
Forget the increase of power lets talk about how he's gaining a gear
tru that
He gunna go for 5th n be smooshin the passengers leg
4 speed with the turbo 🤣
I wanna see that
@@chriscole9621 I wanna try that rn lmao just slap a turbo on my car till it blow up
As soon as you boys said you were getting the engine out and putting the new one in in one day, I was like "no they are not".
hehe oops
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>hey guys, you put your spark plug tube gaskets in upside down. i did it too my first time. it is a bigger deal than you think lol 9:42

Don't mind me, just adding another comment that the oil return is way low on the pan
The hole got drilled to low on the oil pan should have been higher so it's not sitting in the oil
Ooooooo EF content finally!
Watching you guys do anything car related is pretty cringe. Reminds me of my own work.
Gud 2 si these 2 yung brackins stay up poed . ALL MUD GANG MUBDBGSNGD2996
Dis onesly butifuel
Problems with the shift linkage a.k.a. BITCHPIN, every Honda guy knows whats up
Owning one of the civics and seeing this video and I’m dead excited to get back to working on it, keep this up. Love it.
It's a good idea to put a dab of rtv on the corners of the valve cover gasket where the cam cut outs meet the flat part.
u should of put that oil bung above the baffle
steve might be the best name for a cat ever
For the shift linking there a pin when you pull the rubber boot towards the motor youll have to bang it out I usually use a screw or something thats about the same diameter good luck!! Love the videos dudes keep it up!!
I'm literally doing a Z6 build In spring for the EF, So glad this video came out 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Finally! I’ve been saving my foreskin cheese for this video for a while nowz
Damn it’s been a year since I sold it haha
Btw let me know when I can pick that old engine up, I got another ef that needs one haha
Hell Yeah! Doing this swap in my 91 CRX.
i like that you chose a car that a butload of ppl have and can work on! Ideas for my 1990 CRX incoming! Good stuff keep up the momentum!
You will be surprised how tight the bay gets when you start to turbo it
New channel where Kat does actual instructional videos of how to fix cars pls thx
Yes!!
So from 30 to 60? :D
60 TO 120 BABY
I'm so happy to see some Honda content 👌👍
YESSS Ef back at it again!
The bitch pin in the shift linkage should have been the first steps id dont its the most irratating part of a d series swap haha
Honestly was super suprised you guys did all the stuff you said you were gonna do today, RUclips mechanics are evolving
This is the quality dog content I needed.
I hope you had Kat torque everything to spec.
Been waitin for this content. Glad dj got somethin “easier”🙌🏽❤️
It's nice to see Kat working hard, now I'm hyped for the corolla, I mean even more hyped let's be honest haha. Cheers!
About to start a EF hatch swap around a y8 motor! Cheers From a few mile's North in the Ham!
Dj could learn a thing or two from his bro 1:27 in the video I was counting on sum serious butt crack and was denied. Clearly in the presence of a professional
hahahaha
Ayyy the intro isn’t hecka loud anymore!! 🙌🏼
“I’ll just jack it till someone tells me to stop” 😂 Just picked a 91ef up the other day. #efbros🤜🏼🤛🏼
Good to see the lil civic boi getting worked on
Had an EG5 with a dz16z6, apart from burning oil like hell above 3k rpm, the thing was fun. :D
Yo, DJ, you drilled that oil return way too low, you should be drilling a hole up on the thin spot of the pan
Even though it's extra work on the PW0 and linkage: the first gen JDM B16A from the sir is my opinion the best engine for fourth gen civic... Without even adding turbo; which is easy, you can get it over a H22 or H23 vtec
oil return is super low id cap that one an put a new one higher or grab a new pan
HELL YEAH MANG! Been so stoked for this!
That oil drain may not be high enough. Works best above the oil level, just be wary of turbo oil backing up and blowing turbo seals
Kinda excited for the swap to see how she comes out. Keep up the awesome videos stoney Bois!
so whens the video on the 4runner???
JAY IS BACK!
New more skids for my parts counter break. Wouldn't have it any other way
"That's just Honda water, comes with the car." Haha.

Really looking forward to this years content. Hoping you guys make hats again because i love mine
really feelin' dj's hype at the end
No lie I rather see these motor swaps be milked and be done clean instead of just all fast and sloppy.
Loved it as usual boys. Keep em coming!
Shouldve went ahead and bought some hasport mounts. They're a must once you add power
Traction bar helps a ton as well
When that Patreon stuff gets here imma frame that signed print for real and pray to it everyday for the strength to stay poe'd up and swing big dingers. First church of More Skids starting soon
I could've just not heard you plans for it but no multi point swap?
Yo when it's dark and that fires on that garage deadass looks like a dungeon
kinda spooky
@@moreskids wonder if dj would give me some bdsm down there......
I miss my 91 civic si hatch so much. I live in Michigan and can’t find a clean hatch anywhere.
This is so beautifully satisfying
4:50 is a good time
papa dj's girl is mad T H I C C
Looking forward to the next part!
Oh yeah, D series dont get the love they deserve, its a great little engine, I love mine... even though it burns oil but I feel like its a honda thing
Hell Yeah Brothers and Sisters
Love this project!
You put the oil return bun to low on the pan.
Some people have never taken a good old fashioned ass whippin’ and it shows
1st gen runners are sick dude!! 22re are best.
I’m jelly. When I had my EF hatch I wanted to do this swap so bad.
Oh yeah finally I been waiting for months no need for turbo just bolt ons and a tune will be enough
Like it's been said that oil return isn't going to work. It needs to be above the oil level in the pan otherwise it's going to back up in the drain and cause issues.
oil return looks too low, probably should have put it above the baffle
That moment when you tap the pan to low then you got to get another one lol 😂
oil return looks a little low on the pan
S T O P C O N S U M I N G S O Y
yo you put the oil drain to low. has to be above the oil level or it wont drain back
DJ don’t you dare let go of that woman
WOOOOO DAWGIE, single came power
cam* but came works too 👀🤧
the oil return fitting needs to go more up. its way too low, it might not fully drain the turbo
All that smoke in the garage reminds me of That 70s show
Y’all going to Honda fest in April?
Now that's a spicy meatball
ooo hell yeah. i love a good single cam build.
Rear main seal my dudes. but at least its a fwd car, little easier to get the trans out while in the car
nvm gud job guyz
love yall man fr you are my best humans
Stoked for this bulid! Save the single cam boy...... and you have to remove the bitch pin. Any 10mm bolt should push it out
Can you comment the link for the no good boy sticker on the side?
put more dog clips in pls ♥ love the ef so much
Shoulda got the boosted boiz to come out. Woulda been swapped and turbo'd in an afternoon.
Shift linkage pin( bitch pin) need a good punch and a hammer and then the 10mm for the other shift bracket
