Not so fun fact: In AnniFlamma's (probably spelt it wrong) animatic of Thunder Bringer, Zeeus killed the crew by striking Odysseus with his lightning, effectively making him a human conductor. That's why near the end of the animatic, one finger was bent in ways fingers shouldn't be and another (the pointer finger) completely detached, since the lightning was coursing through his entire body to strike the crew.
I love Duvetbox’s 600 Strike, because the ending shows that Poseidon actually wins in the end. Odysseus finally learned the lesson that he’s been trying to teach him this entire time: don’t feel bad about what you have to do to survive, to get home, to protect the people you care about. Ruthlessness is mercy upon ourselves. And Odysseus finally gets it. So how will he sleep at night, knowing everything he’s done to get home? It’s simple. Peacefully. Next to his wife.
how that's different from the other 600 strikes takes? I'd say Duvetbox version is worse because the fight against poseidon is super underwhelming compared to other versions like Gwendy
@ because Poseidon is grinning and laughing at the end, ecstatic that Odysseus is finally on the same page. As for the fight, I think it’s a way better showing of Odysseus’s intelligence and adaptability than a lot of other versions because he uses the bag more dynamically, slinging rocks and even the trident back at Poseidon in a rush to make an opening for a big play. I love all the different versions of this song, but this is the only thing me that I’ve seen so far that captures this specific theme.
@@treynix8871 It don't make much sense that Poseidon would like that Odysseus learned the ruthlessness because at the end what he wanted was to punish Odysseus for his own pride, it wasn't even because of ruthlessness anymore Also, it still don't make much sense, because Poseidon losing by just throwing a few rocks at him is kinda dumb, which is why I like Gwendy where Odysseus had the bag+Hermes boots+Hades souls+ares quick thought
@ it also wouldn’t make sense for Poseidon not to just sink Ithaca anyway after getting his trident back, unless he had a reason not to. If he wants to punish Ody, nothing is stopping him from coming back to get his revenge as soon as he recovers. If he was trying to teach a lesson, then his work is done. And again, I love Gwendy’s too, but I’m talking about the stuff I like about the one showcased in THIS video.
BTW, in the original poem the "immortal cows" was actually pretty creepy, because it was mentioned, that after Ody's men killed them and cut them down, the pieces of meat was still moving and mooing.
That "Not Sorry for Loving You" is actually my favorita animatic of that song! Becouse it starts out with Calipso looking apologatic, but the longer she goes on, the more anger and anoyance enters her features till an eye rolle is basically implied, showcasing that she isn't ACTUALLY sorry for what she did. She's just sorry he didn't get it. "I'm sorry my love is to much for you."
I think that its still Helios' cattle because Apollo's argument in God Games was about Ody killing the sirens and not the cattle. Considering even tho Ody was already punished Greek Gods hold huge grudges.
You should have gone back to see the different flashbacks in Six Hundred Strike. Each strike is not for each man who fell; but a flashback of each moment of Odysseus’s decent into what he is now …. a Man turned Monster, … or a Monster of a Man. 2:20: “How does it feel to be helpless?” : flashback to him dropping the infant 2:26: “I watched my friends die in horror!”: flashback to Polites’ death 2:32: “I heard their final moments!”: flashback to his crew crying out to him as they died 2:38: “Look what you turned me into!”: flashback to the Slaughter of the Sirens 2:44: “All of the pain that I’ve been through!”: flashback to Eurylochos
I love the version of Wouldn't You Like from the start of the video, it looks so much like how Troy dresses for Hermes that the second the sunglasses went on with the fur coat looking outfit I heard his voice saying "Hello dawling"! Edit: same with the Dangerous animatic!
An interstice fact is , even when Poseidon gets stabbed he COULD kill Odysseus at any moment , but does not do so . Besides immortality , a Greek god's true form kills of any mortals who look at it . (I rumble after that) Plus he could kill hit at any moment after he goes to his home . Even on land , Poseidon is also a land god , so its not like he would be safe ( Get in the water calls it out , he can drown the whole island with ease ) I think it is respect that causes him to take it (Literally take the stabs )
It's an interesting possibility, but what makes me think otherwise is the thought that Poseidon was nerfed on purpose (an adaptation) just for the "revenge" of Odysseus.
Fun fact in love in paradise calypso hit the Trifecta on the cliff side. I'll stay inside your heart, his mom says in underworld, stay in my open arms which is in open arms with polities and than she called him ody which is what eullicus called him (Sorry for the spelling)

The ithaca saga has been released
Not the visuals yet though due to technical difficulties!
This will probably be the first time in a year since listening to one of the new Sagas with no visuals first (for me at least)
The epic community has provided their own visuals
@@RandomGuy-tc2gf Official visuals premiering in half an hour actually.

The bull horns and transformation are because of the Zeus Europa myth.
Nope, it was Helios Cows.

it WAS Helios, not Apollo
I'VE NEVER SEEN CLOVER'S ANIMATIC IN A EPIC REACTION 19:29
Jorge has talked previously about doing musical side stories, so every possibility that we get a Calypso side story.
