I love that Odysseus kept his word. In the Troy Saga, he says, "Deep down, I would trade the world to see my son and wife." In the Ithaca Saga, Athena offers him the chance of creating a better world, and he passes it up to be with his family. A decision that is scored with a reprise of the very song in which he said he would do so.

I genuinely cannot believe I’m finally at the point in history where people will discover EPIC and not have to wait for a new saga. EPIC has gotten me through the worst two years of my life and I genuinely never thought I’d get to see the end of EPIC. Thank you, everyone involved in any part of EPIC, for getting me through 10th, 11th, and 12th grade ❤
I had no idea that this was a universal experience. Without epic I would still be stuck in the dark. This play has gotten me through the hardest year and a half of my life.

Its very fitting that the final Animatic is Gigi's. When you think about all these reaction channels watching Epic for the first time. When they go for the Animatic's as their entry point, I can almost guarantee Gigi's "Horse and the Infant" and "Just a Man" Animatic's are the first they watch. Having her as the one to create the final Animatic feels like a full-circle moment, not just for the fans but also for the project itself.
Thank god for Gigi. No offense to Jorge at all, but the presentation of the Troy saga is really lacking. I struggle to put friends on this musical because the beginning isn’t very gripping. Gigis opening animatic, however, has absolutely helped me get some of my friends on board with watching this. She really does a phenomenal job.
My son was 5 1/2 when we found Epic. He loves ancient history, and absolutely loves mythology of any kind, from any part of the world. This was an incredible medium to introduce him to the world of the Greek gods and their stories. He's seven now we both shed tears listening to the Ithica Saga together. Not only has this story always gripped my heart, the way that it's executed and told through Epic is the best I've ever heard or read. The writing bring homes EVERY important moral and lesson Ody learns and endures as "just a man" in a world ruled by powers greater than himself. Thank you Epic cast! You were apart of creating core memories for my son and I in his childhood. ❤
2:30:28 i love how the last animatic is one made by gigi. Fitting because many people such as myself discovered or experienced epic through her animatics. I first discovered epic through gigi’s monster animatic. And now I get to see her animatic being cannon for the end of the last song. A perfect present, just in time for Christmas.
Thats not even the coolest part. All of her aniamtics, including her old six aniamtics, were monochrome. That was the first colored one you can find online. I fucking screamed seeing gigi.

Yesterday, my 6 yo was playing and I heard him scream “Odysseus!” And then “Captain? Captain???”. This morning my 8 yo received a book about Greek mythology. That’s the kind of impact EPIC had on our family. Thank you!
When I first learned about EPIC: the musical My dream job of being a pilot was just a "phase" I was told I would grow out of. Now the musical has been finished and I have started flying. Feels like this musical watched me grow up.
I just realized I have a similar story! When I first discovered EPIC, I had just stage managed for my first professional show. Now, I just found out I got accepted to one of the top technical theatre schools in the country. EPIC fans are going places!
I was thinking about this, too! a hug, an embrace, is much more symbolic. a kiss is a gesture, and while people do kiss the ones they love, it's much more intimate. a hug is universal. It can mean a lot of things. a desire to be close, a gesture of comfort, and a way of not letting someone go. after being away for so long, a kiss wouldn't feel right. they need to hold each other again, they need to be close, they need to know the other isn't leaving, that after years apart, they're together again. also, as a side note, I like to imagine Ody kisses telemachus on the forehead during their embrace. as if he was trying to catch up on everything he couldn't do when he was gone
That's because while it kisses romantic, a hug is comforting. And these two individuals have gone so long without any kind of real comfort in their lives. And now that they are together again the first thought on their mind isn't a romantic kiss it is the comfort of a person you love. It's so damn good

You know, the added visuals really helped. I JUST made the connection, 6 torches, 6 sacrifices. There is so much more to this story then I ever realized.

@@Ssalkandexactly, the torches against Scylla was Ody’s strategy to minimise losses, not Scylla’s strategy of attack. It was precisely because Scylla went for the easy prey that the rest escaped, whereas in the final fight he’s taking out the torches that might reveal him.

You've brought people closer than ever before! You've made something that has saved countless lives including my own. Earle Gresham (Who plays Ares) was in my opinion the most emotional by the end. He had two people comforting him for a few minutes. Who knew that Ares was a huge softie.

He was just a man but he was able to compose music that made strangers laugh, cry, scream and sing together to the lyrics. He was able to write sentences that got stuck in your mind. He was able to make melodies that became memories, he was able to make more than a thousand people tear up and hug with just one song. Thats some talent Jay. THAT'S WHAT I WAS THINKING, you can physically feel the emotions on the songs and that's REALLY hard, specially since it's a musical and we don't have anything besides the songs (if you're in headphones) to help build this, so it truly must be a blessing. Gigi is usually the animator that people get introduced to Epic by so having her close us off with the final animatic is chefs kiss. Thank you to the whole of the Epic team, animators and cast. You have filled my last 2 years with so much joy, life and stunning music
I doubt anyone is gonna read this , I am a newcomer to this whole epic the musical saga, I kept seeing on tik tok people making videos to the last song in the Ithaca saga and it peaked my interest so I then found the musical animation made by Luke Godfrey with all of these amazing animations and it did not disappoint at all. I’m literally crying because this whole thing was so beautiful. There is literally not one bad song throughout this whole thing and seeing the Ithaca saga come to life was just a cinematic masterpiece. I am beyond glad I went down this rabbit hole because I will be streaming all these songs literally forever. I don’t know what compelled Jorge to make this ( if you do see this comment) but it is truly amazing and thank you, I hope this isn’t the end because I am now a fan of you and all the singers you found there voices are literally smooth like butter I was captivated

As an aspiring stage manager (who just got accepted to one of the top theatre schools in the country!), ever since I discovered EPIC, one of my biggest dreams has now become to professionally stage manage this musical in some form. I’m relatively new to the community but I absolutely adored this musical and am now a fan for life! The journey kept me on the edge of my seat and the ending had me balling my eyes out! This was a masterpiece in my eyes and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for EPIC The Musical!

I was so happy that Jay included the detail with the wedding bed from the 23rd song; it's proof that Penelope is clever like her husband. 😊 Edit: guys, I meant the 23rd song in The Odyssey by Homer, the source material for Epic.
And the fact that Odysseus asks Athena to get Penelope’s attention and not Aphrodite is wild like he said i know she’s too smart to be persuaded just by the heart i gotta convince her mind

My two teenage daughters introduced me to this as the Circe saga was released and we have been listening together ever since, along with 2 of my other children. We sing it together in the car and around the house and this evening, as Christmas day came to an end we sat and watched with you as it was finished. Thank you so much for making this, you are an incredible talent and this musical is incredible! We will never get bored of listening to and singing along to it. And it has made memories for me and my children that will last a life time. Thank you, thank you.

Epic: The musical, is one of the biggest influences in my recent life. I graduated with a degree in theatre two years ago, fell to rock bottom finding purpose. I hit a deep depression and this group has gotten me through it all. Without this musically talented group I wouldn’t be here today still auditioning and playing roles. I love you all Jorge & crew. I'm so excited in the future to hear people talk about Epic, or even my future kids potentially discovering it, or others discovering it as it gets released as a show/movie/game, or takes the stage, and I get to say that I was there through the journey, and be able to talk about how magical it truly was.

i don’t know what’s compelled me to write this comment, i’m just a 22 year old girl, i’ve been on my own since i was 17, i don’t have a family to go to, i’ve moved around too much to survive to have long friends, i even question who would fill my side of the chapel when i get married, if i ever get married. I love to have a family to feel this pull for, and in someways i feel like i have and always will. the completion of the saga and even hearing the final song when Odyssey finally reunites with his family, it feels like the closes i might ever get to that, I sit here alone on christmas night, because i couldn’t sleep the whole day away, and I feel real warmth in my heart, like i too finally found what i’ve wanted. I know it doesn’t feel like it, but you have so much time available to you- people’s whole lives change every day on this earth, whether it’s drastically overnight or slowly over time. I have never cried during a live stream more than i did during this one. Epic has been there for me during some really tough years and I knew that if I opened RUclips and Jorge had uploaded, I was gonna feel a little more happy. This is one of the first musicals were the story and characters (and cast) actually connected to the audience and I felt truly involved in it during every livestream of a new saga. The way Jorge reacts with the audience is incredible and I just hope the cast knows how much their effort for this have changed some peoples lives. Will forever hold Epic very close to my heart.
Penelope asking him to move their bed was just a cherry on top of this masterpiece of a musical. It's been so awesome to follow this project as it was made, it's music is awesome and every single singer blows it out of the park, all of them did an amazing job and the rest of the crew as well. Everything about this is just perfect, thank you all for making this. Edit: Forgot to mention the animators both the ones who participated in all the premiere parties (wich I guess could be considered the official animations) and the ones who make their own animatics. Every single animation of this musical has been amazing. (and I just wanna highlight the last part. After every "waiting" from Penelope you can see a frame of her last 20 years: Ody leaving for war, Penelope doing nothing other than watching through the window waiting for his return, Telemachous growing up and watching the window with her, her starting to weave the shroud after the suitors arrived and now being alone once again and lastly, her crying alone in their room and in their bed. It just broke me, you can just see how much she loved him and how important they both are to each other and I'm just so happy that they finally reunited)
What I loved about the livestream is that the cast played along with the memes of Epic (Hair tuck during “You know I’m too shy”, “HE DIDN’T EVEN TRY TEQUILLA!!”, etc.). Just goes to show how much they pay attention to their fan base. 🌊 💙
I just discovered this, and it is so good ! I saw a few shorts with tiny parts of it, never knew where it was from. It felt like a revelation. It's amazing.
My Grandpa was my fatherfigure my whole life and as he passed away this september i fell into a hyperfixation on epic and the odyssey (maybe because he was a sailor when he was young) Seeing epic end in this awesome way gave me so much joy

Thank god for Gigi. No offense to Jorge at all, but the presentation of the Troy saga is really lacking. I struggle to put friends on this musical because the beginning isn’t very gripping. Gigis opening animatic, however, has absolutely helped me get some of my friends on board with watching this. She really does a phenomenal job.

My son was 5 1/2 when we found Epic. He loves ancient history, and absolutely loves mythology of any kind, from any part of the world. This was an incredible medium to introduce him to the world of the Greek gods and their stories. He's seven now we both shed tears listening to the Ithica Saga together. Not only has this story always gripped my heart, the way that it's executed and told through Epic is the best I've ever heard or read. The writing bring homes EVERY important moral and lesson Ody learns and endures as "just a man" in a world ruled by powers greater than himself.
Thank you Epic cast! You were apart of creating core memories for my son and I in his childhood. ❤

I first discovered epic through gigi’s monster animatic. And now I get to see her animatic being cannon for the end of the last song. A perfect present, just in time for Christmas.

a hug is universal. It can mean a lot of things. a desire to be close, a gesture of comfort, and a way of not letting someone go.
after being away for so long, a kiss wouldn't feel right. they need to hold each other again, they need to be close, they need to know the other isn't leaving, that after years apart, they're together again.

He was just a man but he was able to compose music that made strangers laugh, cry, scream and sing together to the lyrics. He was able to write sentences that got stuck in your mind. He was able to make melodies that became memories, he was able to make more than a thousand people tear up and hug with just one song.

I doubt anyone is gonna read this , I am a newcomer to this whole epic the musical saga, I kept seeing on tik tok people making videos to the last song in the Ithaca saga and it peaked my interest so I then found the musical animation made by Luke Godfrey with all of these amazing animations and it did not disappoint at all. I’m literally crying because this whole thing was so beautiful. There is literally not one bad song throughout this whole thing and seeing the Ithaca saga come to life was just a cinematic masterpiece. I am beyond glad I went down this rabbit hole because I will be streaming all these songs literally forever. I don’t know what compelled Jorge to make this ( if you do see this comment) but it is truly amazing and thank you, I hope this isn’t the end because I am now a fan of you and all the singers you found there voices are literally smooth like butter I was captivated

I’m relatively new to the community but I absolutely adored this musical and am now a fan for life! The journey kept me on the edge of my seat and the ending had me balling my eyes out! This was a masterpiece in my eyes and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for EPIC The Musical!

I'm listening to this whole saga for the first time and it goes SO INCREDIBLY HARD
My two teenage daughters introduced me to this as the Circe saga was released and we have been listening together ever since, along with 2 of my other children. We sing it together in the car and around the house and this evening, as Christmas day came to an end we sat and watched with you as it was finished.
Thank you so much for making this, you are an incredible talent and this musical is incredible! We will never get bored of listening to and singing along to it.

Epic: The musical, is one of the biggest influences in my recent life. I graduated with a degree in theatre two years ago, fell to rock bottom finding purpose. I hit a deep depression and this group has gotten me through it all. Without this musically talented group I wouldn’t be here today still auditioning and playing roles. I love you all Jorge & crew. I'm so excited in the future to hear people talk about Epic, or even my future kids potentially discovering it, or others discovering it as it gets released as a show/movie/game, or takes the stage, and I get to say that I was there through the journey, and be able to talk about how magical it truly was.

i don’t know what’s compelled me to write this comment, i’m just a 22 year old girl, i’ve been on my own since i was 17, i don’t have a family to go to, i’ve moved around too much to survive to have long friends, i even question who would fill my side of the chapel when i get married, if i ever get married. I love to have a family to feel this pull for, and in someways i feel like i have and always will. the completion of the saga and even hearing the final song when Odyssey finally reunites with his family, it feels like the closes i might ever get to that, I sit here alone on christmas night, because i couldn’t sleep the whole day away, and I feel real warmth in my heart, like i too finally found what i’ve wanted. I know it doesn’t feel like it, but you have so much time available to you- people’s whole lives change every day on this earth, whether it’s drastically overnight or slowly over time. I have never cried during a live stream more than i did during this one. Epic has been there for me during some really tough years and I knew that if I opened RUclips and Jorge had uploaded, I was gonna feel a little more happy. This is one of the first musicals were the story and characters (and cast) actually connected to the audience and I felt truly involved in it during every livestream of a new saga. The way Jorge reacts with the audience is incredible and I just hope the cast knows how much their effort for this have changed some peoples lives. Will forever hold Epic very close to my heart.

Penelope asking him to move their bed was just a cherry on top of this masterpiece of a musical. It's been so awesome to follow this project as it was made, it's music is awesome and every single singer blows it out of the park, all of them did an amazing job and the rest of the crew as well. Everything about this is just perfect, thank you all for making this.
Edit: Forgot to mention the animators both the ones who participated in all the premiere parties (wich I guess could be considered the official animations) and the ones who make their own animatics. Every single animation of this musical has been amazing.
(and I just wanna highlight the last part. After every "waiting" from Penelope you can see a frame of her last 20 years: Ody leaving for war, Penelope doing nothing other than watching through the window waiting for his return, Telemachous growing up and watching the window with her, her starting to weave the shroud after the suitors arrived and now being alone once again and lastly, her crying alone in their room and in their bed. It just broke me, you can just see how much she loved him and how important they both are to each other and I'm just so happy that they finally reunited)
What I loved about the livestream is that the cast played along with the memes of Epic (Hair tuck during “You know I’m too shy”, “HE DIDN’T EVEN TRY TEQUILLA!!”, etc.).
Just goes to show how much they pay attention to their fan base. 🌊 💙

My Grandpa was my fatherfigure my whole life and as he passed away this september i fell into a hyperfixation on epic and the odyssey (maybe because he was a sailor when he was young)
Seeing epic end in this awesome way gave me so much joy
