@@jimmcknight3021 I really like and value the E-Throttle and auto level on the bucket. E-throttle alone is worth the difference, several of the other features of the R I really do not use or see a lot of value for how I use the tractor. does that help?

Love seeing the difference between the series John deere tractors. If not for your channel, this content is not available. I see you getting more involved with underground utilities. The roughest tractor work because of stress on the tractor and operator. Anyway, when finding the pipe, work the shovel man more. Once pipe found, dig a clearance hole 6 inches to side of pipe and 6 to 12 inch deeper. The the shovel man can uncover pipe into clearance hole. Less damage asking too much of backhoe and easier for laborer who has to get down there anyhow. 😊

Back drag a trench? Well it worked and I can see a new accessory, a reversible bucket which could act like a backhoe! A bee & hornet tip from my dad.....Always carry a spray bottle filled with dish washing liquid & water! Bees, hornets and wasps breath thru their skin and the soap coats them instantly and they drop like flies(pun intended). It's also perfect in the home or where you don't want dangerous chemicals and oils messing things up. Great job by Adam! Best Regards, Jay

Tim, i watch your videos all the time. HOWEVER - YOU of all people should know that you DO NOT drive a tractor with a loader full of dirt or material "up in the air." a full loader should ALWAYS be as close to the ground as possible when transporting a full load. and of course, you "driving on a steep hill" with your "narrow wheelbase" compact tractor was another "operation" that you probably should not have put on a video. it's always nice to see you using all your "toys" in various ways.

    Hi Tim
Just another idea for digging a trench with the loader bucket
Back in My 40's I needed a job and took a position with a cable burying crew, and learned how a shovel worked, LOL
Anyway, I was shown than if I stood on the shovel and wiggled the handle back and forward it worked itself into the ground.
I tried this idea when trenching for a new water line around one of our houses.
I set the tilted the bucket so the edge was on the line I wanted to dig then put the weight of the tractor on the edge and wiggled the bucket in the up & down motion and it worked just like the shovel
When I was deep enough I curled the bucket and moved forward to remove the dirt in the bucket
It put a lot less stress on the hydraulic cylinders and My trench was cut 6 feet long each time
    It worked well for Me
    Ken in Florida

I think you should get a mini dozer for stuff like the hard ditch on that dirt you just drive on top and push it down. I’ve watched a couple RUclips channels with guys that have even little tiny bulldozers and it’s amazing what they can do with it they just push small trees and bushes out of the way and the roots just roll over and pop up and after a couple passes it’s just scraped clean. The sheer speed of moving earth with the dozer, even a small one is really impressive. Even the tiny blades on the front of backhoes seem to be fairly efficient but for a project like this mini dozer would’ve been perfect do you have a bunch of dirt to move where you want it and that’s exactly what they do and it’s unbelievably quick. If I had one my whole neighborhood would be a disaster area. 😂 but you actually seem to have skill with this kind of stuff so I’m sure you wouldn’t break too much with it. Lol. On one channel the guy paid $1500 for it and he had to weld a couple pieces and replace a couple hundred dollars worth of hydraulics but he’s cleared several acres of lightly wooded area and graded a couple acres that was basically turning his basement into a pond. It’s an old case, it’s a tiny little bulldozer but it just keeps on chugging away and doing the job. If I ever win the lottery I’ll probably buy all of this stuff and use all those TTWT coupon codes. 😂

If you tilt the bucket all the way down and pull or push too hard on it, you can break the curl cylinders.

Hey Tim, I was the one that commented on another of your videos asking if you blink ha! Just curious, and this may be a dumb question, but is it not possible to remove the cab from a tractor and just resell it? I'm not an expert in tractors (yet), so maybe you can help me understand Steve's reasoning for buying an entirely different tractor rather than just removing the cab.

Dirt talk- my ancestors founded teutopolis, il, they chose that area because of the trees, they felt the plains of Illinois didn't grow trees so it must be bad soil. Boy they were wrong.

Only when bucket is fully tipped…cylinders fully extended. That is when they are weak.

Risk of breaking curl cylinders if bucket is turned too far downward (cylinders extended too far).

back dragging or pushing with the loader fully tilted can break the tilt/curl cylinders. It is a real issue,, but would not have been an issue with this soft ground, and with me not having the bucket ALL THE WAY titled.
