@@MinkieWinkle Bro, the Ducato line is way worse, you just open all those with a simple flat screwdriver 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 At least you gotta have a grinder to open those Ford 😂😂😂
I bought a load of gear from you guys, did it myself. Deadlock for side and rear doors and protection for the lock mechanisms. I also stuffed a load of rag around the mechanisms so when they attempt to drill through the bit will just immediately tangle up. Not been broken into yet 🤞🏻
Manufacturers need to sort these easy accessible locks as STANDARD! We shouldn’t have to worry about doing all the mods after spending a fortune on a van! I remember the time I used to have a pull out stereo and took it with me everywhere…. Same principle- get rid of the low hanging fruit for these criminals!
Best anti-theft you can get for a van is to get some magnetic signage on it that says something like “Sally’s Dog walking company”. Ain’t nobody breaking in to that smelly van looking for tools
The price we pay for vans, they should be secure from the factory. In construction there are the "secure by design" regs, why isn't there a similar legislation for vehicle manufacturers?
Brilliant British invention to protect tradesmen's livelihoods. Something needs doing about theft from vans. The Ford Custom is sold in the US but it doesn't have deadlocks or double locking.
Saw the sticker about no tools left in the van, are they that brazen now they are doing it in the daylight or while the guys are on the job? Sad how much the good guys have to spend to prevent the bad guys these days
Great idea. All it would take is one manufacturer to fit these as standard. They'd all then have to follow suit. Crazy that they don't as the streets are full of feral animals.
Great products.. I had a 2017 T350 Transit. 2x Attempidied breaks in.. 1x successful attempt. Bought an arrangement of security items and they burnt it out. Don't bring your van to Edinburgh.
I've got a problem with people stealing my tanks and apcs. You got anything that can help. Signed yours sincerely. V Putin. Ps. Do you accept payment in potatoes?..
The [no tools left in this van overnight] sticker didn’t work then. This is an invitation not a deterrent. As for the repair panel. Ridiculous in my opinion you spend all that money on the van and this happens so easily the manufacturer should be accountable. Don’t buy that ford van van it’s like a breaking into a tin of beans.
None of us have a problem with this but to stop your videos being flagged you need to tick the paid promotion box even if you're not paid for it. As it is technically an advert. Again, we have no problem but someone will come along and flag it at some point.
Hi Steven We will ask our RUclips manager about this. As we understand it we are not being paid or receiving product or any kind of reward. We are bringing a product to our audience that we feel is worthy of our recommendation. I don't believe that it constitutes a paid promotion but I will check with the experts.
@@SkillBuilder Its complicated as the button implies you got paid when you didn't. But because its classed as 'marketing' for that company, it still comes under the paid promotion tag. If they did it to your van for free and you reviewed that, it would be the same. Somewhat annoying but helps with transparency.
Stick on plates been around for years, most of the time the vans been broken into and they don’t bother fixing the metal work and install a cover plate.....but seriously who wants a now massive metal plate on their van
What's wrong with the plate? It looks alright. In fact, I remember an episode of the A-team, where they kitted out their van in a similar fashion. They saved a beautiful girl, who was then accosted by Face, whilst Murdock shat in B.A.'s milk to get him to go on a plane (he would never get on a plane that one) and Hannibal loved it because his plan had come together. So, unless you are telling me that the A-team weren't cool, then I'm afraid you're wrong about these plates. They are fucking great.
No one wants a massive plate on their van but no one asks for their van to be done over either. There's tradespeople out there that have had their vans done multiple times and this is a solution to help them get back on the road quickly. I don't know how much it costs but it's got to be cheaper than a replacement door or body repair where the same could happen again. Are they ideal, no. Do they have a place in the market, absolutely.
I applaud them for providing this service…but we shouldn’t need it! The manufacturers should be applying this protection internally, to stop thieves.
bloody right !
I have said it for years, why continue to buy their shoddy vans. Refuse to until they actually start to provide security.

That rag idea is brilliant, nice one 👍
That rag is a great idea. I have been looking at fibre fill for the ply lined van.
Anyone who’s ever drilled in to insulation or a rubber glove! Knows what that’s like 😂

I go for "Funeral services" signs only a very small percentage of the population would want to break into that van and they are not looking for tools!

Yes it is totally wrong but we are where we are and we are trying hard to get manufacturers to took at security.

Why isn't this a part of the manufacturing process?
Do you do one in graphite grey?

How about painting the plate and making it clear that their is additional reinforcement behind the door too? Also, maybe your logo in the corner?
Succinct and to the point . Good vid . Yay ! 👍
Might as well start buying ex Securicor vans boys
Brilliant 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🧱👍🏼
Just A Quick Thought Guys 🤔 Colour Code Em Or It Looks Like You've Repaired It From An Old SIGNPOST 😉
Once you've got the plate fitted just make sure you get a Mother-in-Law On Board sign for your van and they won't go near it.
WTF has this country come to?
Ah..yes I thought that. All they will do is get a bigger can opener ..it's only logical . So two options empty tools, or give up?
Mine got done today in london. Drilled a hole in the side door and stole my power tools 😢
Hi Will
Really sorry to hear that, it takes them seconds to make that hole and flick the mechanism. Worst design ever

This is great and all but we shouldn't have to be driving armoured vehicles in order to work in the trades should we!
Too true, it is a sad state of affairs

what about rear doors....

Haha
Surely Ford should’ve done that from factory knowing how many issues this has caused since the custom is out
only problem here is they can still peel the top of the door down plus it looks awful
They have top locks to help prevent that. It is all about slowing the thief down. I have that plate on my van and it doesn't offend me
law and order ? unreal that British society has gone in this direction.

They just rip the whole door off now, it will help against the beginner thieves.
