    I heard that in the 6 months Dani Ric was at Red Bull he lived with Adrian Newey as a Padawan. They were developing a strong telepathic connection between the two so that Dani could design the 2024 VCARB without leaving any evidence for the FIA.
    Unfortunately, Dani returned back to racing, and away from Newey, prematurely. Instead of the Telepathic powers being able to connect Milton Keynes to Italy, they had only managed to make it reach from Conference A to Conference room B. This is the reason VCARB are moving operations to the RB factory.

      @Adamos321 3 месяца назад +1

      That might be true, but Haas being owned by different company, this in current era of cost caps and close performance can hurt them more than do good. As these parts are more expensive for them, than they are for their supplier Ferrari and their lack of infrastructure leading to buy other parts from Dallara makes them extremely cost inefficient. What looked like a good business model 10 years ago is the worst business model now, and probably main reason why they are last.
      Difference for second Red Bull team is the same owner, so they could buy parts from their first team cheap, thus saving money and being more cost efficient. Not mentioning other possible benefits of owning 2 teams. 20 years ago F1 was both about who spends the most and who spends efficiently, now it's mainly about the efficiency, with all teams basically having almost the same budgets. And also being closed group of team, with Andretti not being admitted to the sport, I see it as extremelly priviledged position for Red Bull to own 2 teams. With the trajectory F1 goes under Liberty media, I believe this is just a matter of time for this priviledge to cease and Red Bull will have to sell their second team. And I second that change, the sooner the better.

    • @into_the_void

      @@Adamos321 There are regulations around pricing of supplier parts.
      F1 has broken them down into listed team components (LTC), transferrable components (TRC), standard supply components (SSC) and open source components (OSC).
      Transferrable components are what Redbull is selling to VCARB.
      " The supplier must also provide their customer with all relevant financial information, with the financial regulations dictating the parts must be ascribed a “fair value” for cost cap accounting purposes. "
      There are also strictly enforced regulations about information sharing , windtunnel and cfd data sharing etc..The concerns if any are generally covered by regulations already in place

    Yeah what’s stopping RB from researching one part, and then selling it for dirt cheap to VCARB, and VCARB researching a different part and selling it for dirt cheap to RB? That would allow them to essentially pour full resources into each part, rather than having to compromise

      But you just don't design a listed component. Note that the FIA does provide the teams with a template that the teams are allowed to change. This is how Haas designed many of the components because you do very little design yourself. It is also why they usually go backwards as the season progresses. It is usually a process of little changes. Kind of writing a important letter where you change the wording and sentencing until the letter is perfect. Versioning keeps tracks of these changes and the FIA wants see those changes. That is how they were able to caught Aston Martin copying the brake ducts from Mercedes a few years back. They can also interview key personal of teams. Each change has a name associated, so they know which employee made which change. For example when I interview for a job opening I always ask what the applicant biggest problem was that (s)he was able to solve and why other solutions didn't work. Here's the thing, if you are part of the team that fixed an issue, you can most likely answer the first part, however it it less likely part of the thought process how you came to that solution, why other solutions didn't pan out. There are more ways to have get an indication how truthful an applicant is during an interview...

    Might also be genuinely figuring the same things that Red Bull managed to figure out with their f1 car. Sure if they find something that breaks the rules, then go ahead and punish the team, we already know what that will look like, otherwise either leave it be or tighten the rules up more.

    Information sharing for sure will be a thing, they are not walking around and recording every conversation so it can be policed afterwards! For me this is one of the biggest flaws of the cost cap era! And it's not just Redbull. Other teams have their automotive industries to do stuf for them and just questions and answers passed verbally can be of great value! Zack, Toto and Fred, know far too well how this functions for themselves!

    I think the answer was given in the video. There is no evidence that they have done anything illegal. If Haas can use the same components from Ferrari, and Williams from Merc, I dont see why Vcarb cant do the same with RB. Sure, due to the parent company, I can understand the FIA maybe wanting to keep a closer eye on the situation, but I see nothing wrong with it. Dont like it? Change the rules

    Same for Haas, they can be sold too. Now that we have a low cost cap, hitting the cost cap should be a guarantee made by teams to ensure all 10 teams remain competitive. Wiggle room of a million or two is fine but coming up 10 million short shouldn’t be an option.
