    I keep re-reading the Sherlock Holmes stories in one form or another. Time to commit to that lovely edition you presented here!

    Awesome. I have these editions of Dracula, Lovecraft, Poe, Dante's Inferno and King's Three Novels. They mesh really well with my other horror and dark fantasy books (:

    I've got to be able trust that none of the text is edited, censored or modified for "modern sensibilities"..

      From what I gather, everything published in the Barnes and Noble leather-bound classics series is unabridged and unexpurgated.

    I love these editions as well, but not as much as my Easton Press editions. I loved your thumb-nail, that is what grabbed my attention, it is my personal collection of Barnes & Noble Leather bound Classics picture I put on Reddit
    you are free to use it, I have no gripe about its usage

      @@milesknightestrada3286 I haven't looked through everything but I do have the lovecraft one that has the ornate Cthulhu on it, The Vampire Chronicles from Anne Rice, and I have an Illiad/Odyssey one but it is way more traditional looking.

      @@TenDollarSlimer I am aware they have done several runs on certain volumes. Their first Sherlock one is of interest, for it, like your Odyssey and Illiad, looks more traditional. I considered getting their Cthulhu Mythos tales, for it would be nice to have a less unwieldy edition of the stories, but The Complete Fiction seems to suit the purpose for me.

      I take that as a compliment. Incidentally, reamce is my sole reason for doing this whole thing. I have done a tribute video in which I extolled the effects he has had on me, and continues to have. He responded to it very well.

    This is personal preferences but the HP Lovecraft Complete Fiction might be complete but I think I prefer the older the Cthulhu Mythos collection which only has the mythos. I love the cover and book design.

      Thanks! (it is my picture I put on Reddit) I have added a few more since I took that picture several years ago, but now they want like $35 and $40 each for them, I stopped buying them. I bought most of mine for an average of $12 each

    The Arabian Nights one is gorgeous but it has the Burton's translation, that not only is not the most accurate one but also is written with archaisms and makes for a difficult read, according to other youtubers.

    • @milesknightestrada3286
      @milesknightestrada3286  Год назад

      Considering that I'm used to archaisims, and dabble in them myself, I think the Burton translation wouldn't be too difficult. I do, however, have an Easton Press edition of The Arabian Nights, which unfortunately negates me from getting the Barnes and Noble version. For now, anyway.
