Woody, does Minelab outsource the manufacture of their outer cases, i.e., the injection molded cases? If so, I'd bet that the counterfeiters probably get their outer cases from the same production facility. They may get them "legally," or "illegally" through the back doors.

On of the switches has no wires connected. I have seen steel and even concrete in Chinese stuff so it feels "solid" like it is good quality. Or is as heavy as the original.
