Keynesianism is a tool to get out of inflation + stagnation. The Americas used it for too long and it was the lack of communication between businesses and government that lead to another depression. Either governments had to start decreases tax rates or businesses had to start changing how they work.
When Keynesianism was working everyone was happy by the way. The only people who were unhappy were business people because profit was decreasing and they could not expand as much. Most people had more time to do whatever they wanted. That's why it was called the golden age.
Everyone's doing pretty much whatever they want now too in the Internet age.

arriving from school, logging onto maplestory and just chill until my grandma call me to lunch
now, im an adult and my grandma passed away, and i miss her so much, i ll be forever grateful for what she done for me and for the good memories with her

I used to remember the times when i was 4 and just play maple when i wake up early and when everyone be asleep. Good times. Also the first time i would interact with ANY people irl or online. Good time very good times. 10 years passed from when i first played
when people gave mesos for fame
this reminded me when I was a 15lvl mage doing the bunny pq, after a while I joined a party with this thief couple around 50-60lvl or something. Honestly i din't understand why they are even there but they took me in anyway and somehow the dude had the idea to do the carnival pq. I was like "I can't do that" and they said just stand there and do nothing they will fight then i agreed to come with them... and boi oh boi i have never level up so fast, just within that sitting I got on level 30. It's hard to find people that wholesome like them these days... so sad but at least I got a nice memory

Splat Tim the maplestory community was the most non-toxic community out there. Of course there were toxic people/scammers but people would warn you of them, the community had your back like that. Memories... :’(
Wow loved it. Also some very mean people on it as well. Had a friend of 2 years who stole mesos from me. But it happens, lot of lessons learned in that game is crazy

I haven't played this game in like 9 years!
I always met up with a popular player to this song. She was always surrounded by other pros in the same spot and had the best gear and mounts. Yet always made time to hang out with a newbie like me when we met up. I learned so much from playing together with her. The memories are getting fuzzy now but I'll always remember this song and think of her, bros.

I still remember in the old maple I got the rare item "golden shield" from a green mushroom. if you come from that era you can know that very expensive and very cool if you see a mage class wear it.

In 2021, I've went to Henesy's and there was a poor pirate dude spamming, "can anyone give me meso please?" with a cry face in Channel 1 in Reboot.
I dunno if that was a troll or a literal newb but it really made me go back. I'll never forget this music.
Probably someone just having fun since you can't trade items and mesos in Reboot. :)

Okay, we all have to admit that this was the main town for everyone, even if you were not an archer haha.
I think it's intentionally designed that way. The others were a little too wild and inconvenient to become main towns, like Perion and Ellinia were treacherous and inconvenient because they required lots of jumping, and Kerning is... well it actually has quite a bit of people too, but it's edgy and people are mostly there for KPQ only. Henesys is where people truly relax and socialize.

omg now I remember, I traded fame with people but once I famed this one guy in Perion but he didn't fame me back and just called me a sucker and ran away, I was SO mad I added him to my friend list to stalk and confront him next time but I only saw him log on briefly like 3 times and never caught him lol

I remember letting out a monster bag killing every AFK'er in town, getting a bunch of F5 thrown at me.

I remember making a fire mage and using the poison skill to leave green "farts" everywhere.
I remember spamming fame for fame and getting scammed then telling everyone to be aware of the scammer.
I remember using F3 as the "free" kissing face.
I remember having a text file with a bunch of funny texts to copy and paste in game, like _/taxi\_ @--@
I remember much more. The best period of my life, filled with simplicity and joy. Coming home after school everyday, spending hours playing and having fun with friends from all over the world on Maplestory.
