I had no idea about the anti-tip feature. I just returned mine because I thought it was broken. And since I wasn’t impressed with the suction I decided to give the older model a try at over $100 less on sale. It’s louder, can’t take a bag, and isn’t packout. But it has other features that make it better IMO. The hose being on the inside is nice. The build quality seems to be more sturdy. The integrated handle is more secure. Etc.
An honest review, and I agree with them all! It is a battery eater so I keep a 12 ahr battery in it. I also install cabinets and the filter will plug easily especially in drywall dust,so I use fleece bags... You can easily cut the end to dump, then roll and pinch to re-use. Mine gets used for tracksaw and multitool use, along with site cleanup. Lightweight to use when drilling hardware on multiple room and levels. There are better options, but this is a convenience buy
For the price difference, I'm going to just attach packout feet to the base of the other 18V vacuum and make it "Packout"! -------------------------------------------------- [Note: This comment is not focused on any particular "designated group" with regard to the RUclips "hate speech" policies. Agreed, it doesn't replace a shop vac but it so convenient with the brush attachment for stairs and even the car.
I have the m12 one, for 99 bucks as a homeowner it works great

Try the dust bag that is made for that. It won’t loose suction.
How do you think it would go for light planing with the 12v planer?
I’m gonna try that the next time I buy a planer!
Is it sturdy enough to stand on it?
Yes we do that frequently
yeah this vac doesn't work 4 me for a good milwaukee W/D VAC the m12 1 would be a good 1 for getting the jobs done fast do 2 how the suction is on it.
