Most people in St Kitts and Nevis are from Ireland and the UK. Same for Monserrat and Jamaica. They were sent there by Oliver Cromwell. The UK and Ireland used to be BIk when King James ruled it. King James was also BIk.

I must admit that the city is very nice and all the buildings are well kept. I wonder if they have a rundown part. It is also very clean. This is good exposure for the country.
St Kitts and Nevis is one of the smallest independent countries in the world. Ting and Juici patties are Jamaican. Antigua and Barbuda, St Kitts and Nevis , and St Vincent and the grenadines have a lot of similarities with Jamaica especially the rural parishes.
St. Kitts makes its own Ting - not imported.

Just a few corrections. Our tourist season is November to March/April. The government said they are working on measures to boost the slow season. The port Zante is in the Basseterre town.

Great video. High season in the Caribbean is generally between October and April. Some islands will get maybe two or three cruise ships per week during the slow season. The cruise ships schedule focuses on Alaska and Europe during this time and they start returning again in abundance the following October.

The area your brother described as Fort Thomas is actually the War Memorial, aka Cenotaph, which pays homage to persons who fought in World War 1. There are three tombs located there, representing St. Kitts, Nevis, and Anguilla, as the islands were a trinity at one point. Anguilla’s tombs are lighter in colour because of the limestone, which is significant to their island.
@African Tigress. In 2022 is was reported to be a population of 47,657 in St Kitts and Nevis.
I am truly impressed that so far the residents have refrained from dumping litter along the street . Some of us here in Toronto no longer take pride in our city. We have litter bins at each bus stop and downtown city streets. Still we have an obvious litter problem.

The Caribbean has really changed. When I left Trinidad decades ago, we did not have African visitors. We had British expats then. A few of my teachers in high school were from England. The priests and nuns were from Ireland. We weren't independent then. I am surprised to see how many Africans are now living on the islands. I went back to Trinidad in 2013, I was surprised to see African security guards. There are also Africans in professionsl jobs. We, who have left, have made room for others. The tourist industry would do much better in the Caribbean if they did not charge so much for accommodation. Some of the islands are too expensive to visit. He can't compare the size of such a small island to living in Jamaica or Trinidad. Personally, I could not live on one of those smaller islands because I have lived in Toronto for most of my life.
And I'm loving it that our African brothers and sisters who are visiting and settling in the Caribbean blend in so perfectly with us.
But the Canadians and Americans, Indians and many other large countries are leaving their countries and coming here to live 😂
But honestly though, life and living in the smaller islands are a lot better than the larger islands. You even have many people from the larger islands who have migrated and are living in the smaller islands due to better standards of living.

Besides I noticed he is more Kittitian right now than Kenyan. Lived there over 20 years. A top chef who has won several awards for the country.
