The problem is, they only go to the bigger islands in the Caribbean, the smaller islands like. Antigua and St. Kitts & Nevis and others are just as interesting, beautiful and have lots of history. Bless

People don’t even realize that the colors is part of what makes it so happy and vibrant lol. And of course the people food and natural beauty the ambience is just right 👌🏾

You choose a wonderful Caribbean island to visit. It's great that you try to learn the uniqueness of each Island, yet observing the many similarities. Good job....And finally, a UTuber has mentioned one of the biggest sporting event that's taking place in the Caribbean and USA....T20 World cricket. Cricket is also played in Kenya. I must say again and forgive me, your Hatian series were a masterpiece.

I used to think Barbados is the ish and loved to retire there but Antigua is giving me same Barbados vibes and probably a lot cheaper. I hope Antiguans are as welcoming as Bajans cos I'm getting a change of heart.

I live in Jamaica and my favorite reggae singer is from Antiqua. The band is called Akae Beka.

Am from Montserrat and have family living there in Antigua ,,,The two landscapes of these two islands is soo different...Montserrat is Wild ,with some real Mountains. ,But i love me some Wadadli/Antigua...Nice Ppl,like av never left Montserrat.

Caribbean people are colourful people! ❤ AT you can buy duty free too. Antiqua is pretty, my daughter went there last year and loved it.

Even though the steel pan was invented in Trinidad and Tobago, there are steel pan bands all over the Caribbean and very good bands. I don't know if they have large bands the size of those found in Trinidad. Antigua is one country on my bucket list to visit, and this video is an encouragement to do so, very soon. Thank you, AT.

Antigua and Barbuda is like Trinidad and Tobago, two islands but one government.
Antigua and Barbuda is very much diversified island. When people migrated there, they brought their culture with them. As a native born of the island of Antigua we didn’t have much of the heavy colored buildings especially in the city. Antigua culture has changed over the past 30 years as people migrated here from different countries or Caribbean islands.

Antigua itself, is 90% African with the Kente clothe our national color. Saturday, the Market Place is a vibe. Make sure you taste all local dishes. Not sure how long you will be there but Carnival season is around the corner, July 25-August 6th. @@privategirl2no sah lol Trinis have much admiration and respect for your Antigua Soca icon. He has been always treated as royalty throughout the year he visited and performed in TnT. Rated alongside our own icons as one of the greatest. Burning Flames also with their distinct sound. I remember them performing in TnT every year for Brass festival. The top Caribbean Soca Artiste all knew that they must visit the Mecca to be tested.

Shirley Heights Antigua is located high up on a hill overlooking English Harbor. This popular Antiguan attraction is around 30 minutes from St. John.
Smart comment, Trinidad and Guyana is known for their mastery in making roti, doubles. I had a roti in Barbados unfortunately it was a bad idea lol.,I should have stuck to their local coo-coo and yummy flying fish.A&B looks lovely-hope to visit soon

I lived and worked in Antigua off and on since 2006. It’s my second home and my best friends live there. You must visit the following (apologies if you speak about them as I haven’t finished watching) … Devils Bridge, Dennis Restaurant and the beach there called Ffryes Beach, Walkers Nature Reserve, Shirley Heights, English Harbour, Stingray City and Laviscount Island. These are just a few of my favourites but I’m sure your host will make sure you see the best the island has to offer. You also need to get some music by Burning Flames. They are sensational. Have a wonderful time
Beautiful place...My uncle took me there to run a 1/2 Marathon when I was a teenager loved it...Plus I am huge fan of Antigua Artist like Short Shirt/ Swallow/ Obstinate/Joe/ Burning Flames....and the new acts...
Look up the mighty Arrow,s music..He is/was the Soca Champ ,and he is from the smaller neighbouring island of Montserrat .
Say it dont fraid , he is soca king. He made soca international. Stage and still recognized as the signature soca of the Caribbean life. Trinidad didnt invent calypso or carnival only steelpan, they only put a spin on it 'shorty' and called it soca. This music came with us from Africa ,

Someone asked me a few minutes ago if I watch other vloggers from Africa, and I said that African Tigress is who I primarily follow because she is easy on the eyes and ears.

Love the Antigua vlog. Very excited to see more. Check out their Street Food and the beaches which are among the best in the Caribbean. You are right about the accent being similar to Jamaicans standard English accent. I have Antiguan friends and their accent are very similar to mine as a Jamaican. The reason Bahamian accent is softer than the rest of the Caribbean is due to their close proximity to the U.S. and their abundance of US travelers to the Bahamas. Looking forward to more of Antigua. They do but Ppl from Monsterrat sounds more like us. I met a woman from Monsterrat & thought she was Jamaican, I asked her where in Jamaica she's from, she laughed & said. .'' I'm not Jamaican, I'm from Monsterrat '' I was SHOCKED!!

I went to school with Antiguans, and when I first heard them speak, I thought that they were Jamaicans.

And I supposed you've never heard thier neighbours Montserrat speaking??8 minutes away.
Yes the accent is similar because during slavery. Slave owners would imported slaves from Jamaica to popular Antigua. It has been recorded in memoirs of Mary Prince who was born and raised in Jamaica. But was sold by her master to another owner in Antigua.
Mary Prince was born in Bermuda, not Jamaica. I don't know where you got your information from but the enslaved people in Antigua were brought over from Africa not from Jamaica. The accent is similar because similar people from similar parts of Africa responded similarly to the European language (English ) of their colonizers.@@AuntyM66

I had a big smile when AT was talking about understanding OTHERS' accents. That was funny to me because sometimes I have to replay something she said a few times because (to my ears anyway) it can be so heavily accented.Of course all that depends on where one is from. I'm from, as AT would say "HEEE-AH" in Texas!🙄 Good show!

All the islands are similar. Some are more mountainous/more rivers than others. I do understand, when you said Antigua giving Barbados vibes , they are both very flat and beautiful.

AT, Ricardo Drue, the young talented Soca artiste who died on December 12, 2023, very unexpectedly, was born in Antigua. He was Patrice Roberts' fiance.
From my experience living in Antigua, that island has the second biggest Panorama competition in the Caribbean after Trinidad... I wish the day would come when pan lovers could experience a clash between Antiguan pan sides like Harmonites & Halcyon and Trini powerhouses like Despers and All Stars🙏🏽
