When I learned to play this, I just played the left hand part over and over and over and over until it became more or less automatic. It's still an adjustment when you add the right hand, but it's much easier than jumping in with both hands. I've done the same thing with boogie-woogie left hand patterns. Over and over and over and over until one day I discover that I can add right hand stuff while the left just keeps going.
