Hi Billy, Lark lane is a great place. Really nice people and it's a nice clean and tidy little place. It's a great alternative to going to the city centre for a nice meal and night out. I enjoyed this video as I've got some really fond memories of the lane. Anyway thanks for your vid Billy. John. 🤔👍
Absolutely disgusting lone, vulnerable females out on the streets. I’m a similar age to that lady who was sat on floor and I can’t imagine what it must be like. Makes you thankful for your own warm bed and food in the cupboards. xx
Nice one Bill, nice bit of info about the area. Shame about your friend getting set about by a group of younger ones like, she comes across like a decent lass, just a sign of the times innit.
I tell you Bill,I was lost as a White fella in Harlem at midnight on my first visit to my grandpa's liverpool last year, but my trip this year will be different. You n judder the stone gangster done gave me the education on liverpool.
Love the videos billy i see more of liverpool through these than i have personally. Used to live in grimsby now happily married to a lovely scouse lady.have worked on and off in liverpool since the late 80,s so ive seen a huge transformation in the city . always loved the people so very happy to live out the remainder if my life here.keep up the great work billy kindest regards mark.
Cool. It's important to highlight the neglect in our citys, which you do with a lot of care; but I think it's equally important to show the good stuff that goes on in Liverpool...because I know there is a lot of amazing musicians/art etc up there. I haven't been up for a long long time. Way past time I got up there with my guitar.
Alright Billy I have been in the trenches mate, and it’s been tough and that was 25 years ago but I understand and I really appreciate what you are doing brother.
Lark Lane use to be great. As soon as doorman started appearing on the pubs, that’s when it went down hill. The locals have nowhere to go for pint. They are not made welcome. Gentrification
Lovely Billy , yeah the Tory Death Cult is tag on the wall , Its's from The KLF you know from back in the day , they do the Toxteth Day Of The Dead every year, that's their motto , also good to se your auld gaff mate ,must've been emotional that BIG Respect . Nice video blog ! Keep Rising
when i was still in tocky bill i went on my usual midnight munch run being a raving insomniac, went to ullet road garage for the set menu, jellies, choc, crap crisps etc.whilst standing in the queue i saw a notice in the window about a lost cat "missing black and white tom cat, answers to the name of tarquin" i burst out laughing as that is lark lane in a nutshell.have a good day mate
errrr haribo, maltesers bar and thingies crisps i'll think you'll find my mate, never thought about brown or crack to be honest.i've heard it's a bit moreish@@Eleventhearlofmars
Nice 1 billy I would sooner have a night out in lark lane than town it looks very chilled there and people hitting other people for nothing really shame on all of you well done billy 🙏😊👍
I be in Liverpool in April, so not, evenings not so dark maybe little warmer definitely I will visit Lark Lane. Bars/pubs look nice, barman with Misfits💀 Tshirt can be a clue there is live music ? Živjeli🎶 🙋♀️🙋♂️ Cuvaj se Billy ❤
How about complaining about the lack of affordable housing rather than blaming those at the bottom of the ladder. Anyway I hope your knuckles get better they must be sore dragging them around all day.
Marmion Rd, wow I’ve lived in 2 different houses in that road 20 and 21 facing . I was there 10 years Bill I’m surprised I haven’t got on yer down there. I moved away in 2010.
Loved Lark Lane years ago, im glad Keiths and Marantos still going, my fav restaurant was Estaban but I think that closed few years ago and the tiny lil greek was excellent!! it was family run, and part of the entertainment was the dad arguing with his daughter and the mum, for all customers to hear was so funny! im sure alot of people have great memories of that part of the city! much rather be with a boho crowd than coked up idiots in town. thanks for the vid!! x
Had a gf on Pelham Grove , South Albert and the corner of Dalmery and Aigburth road. Lived on East Albert and Parkfield. Was ok back in the 90s , still had the old skool vibe. The Albert , Lodge ,Keiths and Marantos. Good to see them all still there. Paul the Barber must be getting on now. Sometimes get a yearning for the Green Mussels in garlic butter in Keiths. Never the same when I make it at home.
The grub in Marantos and Keiths is top notch .. Lark Lane is a brilliant place .. Love the flocks of bright green, Indian Ring Neck parrots flying wild in parts of Sefton Park .
We DO have the resources, it's just being spent and used badly. EXAMPLE.... We make shit food, cheap as hell, and food that's healthy and good for you is expensive as hell! If the government taxed cheap food and subsidised healthy food to make it cheaper, we'd, in general, all be a lot healthier, and wouldn't need the NHS, doctors, medication etc. as much, therefore freeing up money and resources for those who REALLY need the NHS. it's not what you spend it's how you spend it 🤷♂️
Lark Lane is not the same place anymore. It lost it about 10 years ago. Now full of scallies. Who never never it existed even 3 years ago. We used to always go. Not anymore.
I lived there from the mid 80s to the mid 90s. It was great back then. I don’t recognise now. It seems to have lost its charm. It’s just bars and pubs these days.
It is nice but you do get people drinking round there that are not always nice, just be careful and be safe, loads of serious incidents have happened there in the past That are well documented just google to see ,but in general your normally OK.👍👍
Looks a rather nice area but in sad reality your never to far away from from the other side of life people struggling with nowhere to live and desperate and destitute
Did anyone notice it was like a ghost town. Shame noone goes out anymore UK night life is on its way out.. everyone will become secluded and social human contact with others is diminishing, peoples contact will be virtual and artificial
Nice lark lane i live by woolton village that's nice too for anyone visiting liverpool id recommend both..
Lark Lane looks lovely. Love boho style, creates such a relaxed vibe. xx

Makes u thankful for what u got seeing homeless out in all weathers, pretty sad
Makes me so angry seeing homeless people in the UK when so many new arrivals get 4 star hotels.
Get one in your place mate, that would be such a nice helpful thing to do. I know you actually care by your comment.

Lark lane ... Memories of that lovely village
It's not a village
I loved living on lark lane in the 90s
We have no more resources to take people in my mum was on the phone for a doctor appointment and she was 46 in the queue so she's gave up

Whats the best place to eat in liverpool Billy?
Elif for me is one of the best restaurants in Liverpool
@Rc19977 Haven't been, Turkish place on Bold Street? A toss up between a Kimos kebab, a Brewdog burger or a Free State Kitchen burger for me.
Sans Chinese cafe, and crisis chip shop salt and pepper chips
Sefton park
After lodge lane Bill do oggie lane 😊😅😂
Well in Bill
Some people make there own choices unfortunately
