Just fished ferry landing 9n 8/28/20 I got a baby ray so did my partner and some guy got a 4ft shovel nose and had to beach it.....catch and release on that monster good day and people catching mackerel and baby hali
Went down to SD last week and got mostly skunked besides a few dink bass and a few bonito. Last day there I decide to fish sunset cliffs and I got a 10lb calico bass 3rd cast. Fished for another hour and nothing. One and done I was satisfied
Corvina sent my brother to hospital to get a 1/3 of a treble hook removed from deep with in his palm. 3 different Drs and a few X-ray they finally got it out in surgery 2.5 days later
@@BearzG he’s fine. He has a cool X-ray of the barb in his hand. He got 2 out of 3 barbs from a treble hook on a rapala x-rap into his palm. We could not pull both hooks out at the same time so we cut one of the barbs of with a pair of heavy duty pliers. As soon as we cut it the tendon it was snagged on suck it all the way in.
@@wino4 OUCH!!! Man, them hooks are scary. Well, lesson learned, have a net or use fish grips. That's why I literally have 8 fish grips, one on every bag! Glad he's doing good.

It depends on you. I don't like stretch in my line so I go braid to a short fluoro leader. Check out my Tackle Talk video regarding leaders.

@@BearzG I’ve been fishing most my life. Work on a commercial boat and was a deck hand. I’ve never had a hook pass the barb in me yet. And I’m 51.
