- The BD Boys go yellowtail fishing at Coronado Islands.
BD’s Jake Zalesky and his extended family gathered in San Diego to have a family reunion and they wanted to experience some West Coast fishing. They booked a private charter trip aboard the sport boat Vendetta out of H&M Landing. BD’s Rodney Marquez joined in on the fun and documented the good times and great fishing for a variety of West Coast species.
Jake states; "It was a great experience to get my family from Iowa out to the West Coast and get a first-hand experience of what SoCal saltwater fishing looks like! We caught some fish lost some fish, drank a lot of beer and it was fun day out on the water. Big thanks to Capt. Ray Summers for helping these Iowa guys get on some fish!"
Rodney states; "It was a pleasure and honor to be part of a family trip like that. Captain Ray and his crew were so knowledgeable and always eager to help out with fishing knots, gear, line, hooks, everything you can think of on a trip like that...oh and on a side note, be careful of dogs.."

Captain Ray Summers is hands down one of the Best San Diego has to Offer! I’ve always had nothing but amazing success on the Vendetta!
Super excited, I'm being stationed in Coronado and I've never been salt water fishing.

What reels were used to catch the yellow tail all i saw was penn
Most of the reels were Avets. as most of Jake's family were renting rods and reels from HM landing. Jake was using a PENN, and I was using both PENN and Daiwa reels

What irons for the sculpin?
I was using megabait
why did you have to cut off the sculpin's spines?
Greg Shade they are extremely venomous and lethal and can inject you with venom to the touch
Salam dari pusaka nagara smoga sehat selalu
Thats probably why theres cases of people shooting seals when fishing
Yeah this sea dogs are relentless
What is NOT important is to flip your hat around backwards and roast your face, neck and burn your eyes. I'll bet you money that night the guy realized it--or maybe he learned...nothing other than he got sunburned "real bad". But thanks for posting, cool video
proud to say my very first and second yellowtail were way bigger then all the ones caught in the video ahaha check out my youtube videos !!!!
