@@penguin2071 that's cyclic rate. Trying that would melt the barrel. That said, a decent gunner still would have taken them all.
The MG 42 would have cut the three without one having a real chance. at a cadence of 1200 rounds per minute, from close range and without cover, it would have torn them apart. I still know the MG3 very well from my time in the Bundeswehr and I know what they can do. Greetings from Germany.

I absolutely loved this! Yes a few inaccuracies but what a great effort and to get those vehicles alone is hard enough. That tackle into the river and fight was very brave. I’m starting to like these short low budget films more than the big Hollywood films as they are raw. Bravo!
Okay, the video has its faults; every “expert” and his wife rushed to point out the errors. Let me just address something - I have little doubt that all the actors and crew are amateurs, doing it for pleasure on a budget slightly less than zero. So, I say, very good effort.
I’ve watched an awful lot of big budget movies that were more unrealistic than this. I hope these guys get some funding and are able to produce something that will silence the “experts”

It must have fallen out of one of the gliders and been captured. Work with the director a little.

Look, don’t be discouraged or intimidated by the hardware pedants. I also like military gear. But guys are storytellers in a budget using materials you can get to enhance your narratives. And you do that very well!!! I know a friend who was a Civil War artist. Great paintings. But he got tired of the ‘stuff buffs’ who cared so much about the exact burl of the wood in Stonewall Jackson’s gun instead of the people and themes he was trying to capture (and he is a career military man). The hardware does matter but only in service to the story. Keep up your great work!!

The camera work is acceptable but the music varies from comic to anoying and nothing in the storyline is accurate or believable. When I was at school I was told "write about what you know". I guess the same applies to filming.

Sympa les gars, les véhicules ça rajoute un plus et vous avez clairement des idées (le plan vue du casque dans la flotte, c'est bête, mais ça se remarque) par contre il y a des trucs qui persos m'ont un peu choqué, notamment le gars qui jette sa thompson quand il recharge ^^ Mais sinon on sent l'enthousiasme donc +1 pour ma part

Sweet. Ihr hättet den Film halb so lang machen sollen. Weniger ist oft besser. Die Kampfszenen fand ich schon irgendwie gut und dass ihr mit eurer Ausrüstung sogar ins Wasser gegangen seid.

....and is the color of that jeep right? It seems to me almost every equipment in Europe at that time was either green or grey or camouflage. I almost, always see that military color in Africa campaigns. Anybody knows?
You've got the vehicles and the uniforms, now all you need is a storyline, a script, actors, a director... and some attempt at realism wouldn't hurt either.

The hole filmd this music is really annoying but it's a fine short film.
Les bocages la sont tres difficiles terrains et il est facile a comprendre d'utiliser jeeps americains abandonnes ou occupees. The german Vidals were also practical with their aircooled motors. Jeeps had best raw materials as tires instead of vidals artificial rubbertires. Pardon mon francais, oublie presque tout! (Je suis finn).

Sympa il y a du potentiel ! Alors les remarques et oui il en faut bien ! (Mais c'est mon regard perso) costumes bien ! mais trop propres ! Surtout pour l'allemand qui se retrouve tout seul proche de la moto ! Le casque est trop nickel ! Puis au lieu de montrer 2 plan de dessous quand la jeep passe, il aurait plutôt fallu mettre la caméra sur le capot et voir le conducteur ! Pas de musique marquante ni de dialogues forts vraiment dommage .... pour finir votre film si !?! Il était passé en noir et bl aurait été bien mieux ! Bonne continuation

Why are all the yanks carrying SMGs? Its a personal defence weapon at best. Also after a month in combat you've learnt how to where your gear. You don't hang to your hat every time you run.
