- Calvo Motorsports came out swinging at TX2K20 setting the record for fastest mph ever recorded for a RWD car during the roll race competition. They brought 6 insanely fast dodge vipers totaling over 10,000HP between them. Watch along to see them make some insane pulls on the street and track.
These cars are climbing in MPH like a Forza Horizon game. That is STUPID fast, good lord.

As a sportbike rider I can confirm this haha. It takes a 1000hp+ car to beat a stock liter bike, which is a very impressive feat.

Man I'm all for some good street pulls but 160mph passing cars with no lane separation, that's straight scary. Instant death for all parties involved if a family van decides to change lanes. Absolutely sick build though 🙂

I didnt really see any real danger. They get up to speed so fast there braking before its an issue. I see worse all the time and no high speed involved. Just pure morons switching lanes with no turn signals or cutting people off at the last second.
uphill, he knows what the car will do. Plenty of space, its probarbly 500 yards distance, not that crazy scary. The car will go from 160-60 in less that it takes to get there, and no that car wont spin out

So, I have been a fan of the Viper ever since the first RT-10 rolled off the line. I stood outside of Rothrock Dodge back in 1992 when I lived in Allentown, PA just to get a glimpse of one and they did not disappoint with a beautiful red RT-10. Seeing them progress into what they are today is just mind blowing. They are such awesome automobiles. Way to go Dodge!

Not just dodge, but SRT. Dodge has some pretty disappointing products, but the SRT line are all fun to drive. I own a hellcat and I love the SRT features, and live with the dodgy quality. Pun intended.

Hennessey stopped being a force in the Viper world wayyyy back in the early 2000's when he started ripping off customers left and right along with tuners like Heffner and Underground building MUCH faster more reliable customer cars.
FF to today and Henn hardly does any Vipers at all, mostly Ford and GM products where you pay $25/50K for some bolt-ons and badging. Calvo, Nth Moto and A&C Performance is where you go if you want a build done right that's stupid fast.

Well the stroke in viper engines isn't too crazy so they're actually moving slower than a LS7 revving that high.

@@ptrades800 Actual piston speed at a given rpm is determined by the stroke of the engine.

The stroke is what 3.98? I don't know for sure but I do know an ls7 is 4 inch so the difference is basically negligible. The bore is quite a bit less 4.055 vs 4.125 so lighter pistons for sure but yeah 8500 is a lot that's why it's a race car and not an everyday car. No prep 1/8 mile LSX motors turn 9000 but the service life is really short. Basically check over the motor between racing events.
i caught onto the viper acr after seeing how epic and capable it was when salomondrin took it around track many years ago,but randomly stumbling upon these extremely and quite frankly absurd high powered acr's has made me addicted to these videos.So f'in epic

It is definitely not street legal in Germany, but if this vehicle has a valid license in the US and is covered by an insurance, which also is valid in Europe, the owner (and only the owner) is allowed to drive this car in Germany - even if it doesn't cope with the German law. Still this does only apply for a temporary stay but if he wants to go pedal to the metal - he might do it street legal on the Autobahn ;)

Damn this made me so proud. Congrats. Alot of people don't understand that the quicker u can get to top speed, the safer the high-speed run is. The quicker u get there, the sooner u can get on the brakes and come out of it. It's only very dangerous when u have to remain at high acceleration for extended time trying to reach desirable speeds.
I'd love to see Sal bring the black beast out to play with the 5th gens!

Calvo swaps the 6 speed for a
sequential gearbox. You can see the gear indicator in the center console. You’re right tho about every pro racing drivers have stated that 600HP is the limit for stick shift and anything higher is too uncontrollable. I feel like everyone who always praises stick shift are try hards trying to stand out and make themselves feel better and probably never driven stick in their life or don’t live in a high populated city cuz driving stick in Los Angeles traffic fucking sucks

Not too pricey either. About $80,000 for a decent viper and what like an additional $150,000 for kill mode? That's alot of money but not compared to its performance
Pretty spot on. I asked Calvo what the 1800/2000 packages were and it's around that price you mentioned.
So basically for the same price as a bone stock Lambo or Ferrari you can have something like these Vipers that absolutely destroy almost anything you run across WITH a warranty to boot.

the shift knob has a sensor on it for the ignition cut before the shift. you don't wanna keep your hands on that shifter to ensure you don't mistrigger the sensor.

I've always loved the Viper. I always said that there should be an automatic option. I drive a 13 speed Kenworth T680. Sometimes you don't want to shift. I like the black one with the paddle shifters.
It's fast enough for me, but I'd never push it because it would scare the shit out of me.
