No already bought it :) The only minor issue not mentioned in the review is the need of docking station to be able to do upgrades and tweak the lens behavior. Also there was issue with initial firmware where the lens on the body was draining power even when the camera was turned off so firmware upgrade is almost mandatory for current buyers.
@@petrduchac2580 Indeed, I received my copy a week ago and it was shipped with ver. 1 software. Thankfully I did have a docking station. That's been the only let down to this lens. I'm so glad that they made this lens it is what I've been waiting for. I'm a very happy guy.
No, I have the Sony 135mm 1.8 GM. What I really want is a 135mm without autofocus in a very rugged design like the Voigtländer APO-Lanthar Lenses, aperture 2.8 are enough, I have the Voigtländer APO-Lanthar 35mm 2.0 Aspherical and the Voigtländer Macro APO-Lanthar 65mm 2.0 GREAT Lenses !
My wife`s favorite lens since I bought it in January. Extremely sharp, great bokeh, no pincushion and almost no vignetting, while being the lightest and cheapest 135mm f1.8 in the market (compared to Sony GM, Sigma, Canon RF and the new Nikkor Z Plena
I have the older MF cine version (2.2) of this lens which I love. Optics is excellent (matched the zeiss) and I presume they have tweaked it & made it more ergonomic for mirrorless with AF. Its great value as they already have a discount! Meanwhile thanks for the review & really liked your images!
Wow! I like shooting casually in streets, I am confused should I get this or wait for the 85 f1.4 II. I have Tamron 28-75 f2.8 but sometimes I feel anxious to go closer(I am working on it though), what do you think? 135 will be to tight compared to 85?

Question I just got this lens. But after focusing I do hear a sound. It’s like the aperture blades closing. The more I close the aperture, the more you hear the sound. Do I have a defective version or is it normal. I contacted samyang about this but no response yet
@@DoveCaptures Yes, but historically rokinon has been made with cheaper materials than samyang and hasn't performed as well. I believe that has changed though.

Looks like it has that nice Samyang out of focus blur I’ve seen on them going back to the old manual focus Samyangs like the 85/1.4
Cool lens!!! Lucky us in the Netherlands 🙌🏻 Samyang gives 5 years of warranty over here👌🏻 this lens is on my wishlist now!
Same as in india as think
Number of aperture blades doesn’t matter if wide open. Only matters when stopping down
Really waiting for them/Rokinon to bring this to the RF mount. Already have the 14 and 85 mm. This will complete my trinity for wide angle astro

Totally depends on you. You can always crop in, but not out..
what a great lens ... love to try it
Great video thank you for the review.
Would 135mm (on a full frame) make a good second lens for a safari in Kenya? Is the AF good enough to get say, lions moving close to the safari jeep?
I would stick to a zoom personally. Once in a lifetime probably so you want the shot!
This one is on my list!
As a video shooter I can get the manual version of this Samyang lens for a good price. Should I just do that ?

Definitely performs better on FF. Bokeh on my APS-C does not look that smooth :(.
You need to put into account the Crop factor so on APS-C it will be equivalent of approximately 200mm at 2.8 on FF.
