thanks for uploading 🙏 my tip tho I tell all youtubers (especially instagram people) is LOOK IN THE LENS. not your own image on the flippy screen. it looks weird on so many levels. one of them being you aren't talking to your audience. you can be distracted by that too. for instagram 'models' when they do that it just looks vain! lol. like I said... so many levels. but for us youtubers... you want to talk to your audience.
Excellent review, do you know how the Mode 1 and Mode 2 are set out of the box as default settings? Am working out if for my use I would also need to buy a lens station at the same time or not. Quite interested in this lens and the creative opportunities it can support.
how is af for moving subjects? Im thinking to get it for stage photography. Is it true that the skintone tend to yellowish compared to sony native lenses?
They have improved on the skin tones compared to their older AF lenses. The samyang is a tad warmer and the sony is a tad cooler. But shooting raw can always be fixed either way.
Question. I just got this lens. But after focusing I do hear a sound in it. It’s like the aperture blades closing. You just hear a small sound at F1.8 but the higher you go and the more you close the aperture the more you hear the sound after focusing. Did your version also have this? I tried to contact Samyang about this. But no answer yet
@@HRImages THAT is NOT an aperture ring, the Cameras have have also mode function for aperture, but it can NEVER be the same as an aperture ring, I like to see which aperture the Lens are at when I pick it up, so the Samyang are USELESS for me !!!
@@HRImages Not what I want, I want to see what the aperture are at when I pick the Lens up, before I look through the Viewfinder, also before I mount the Lens on the Camera. The Samyang are expensive enough, so they could have made a REAL aperture ring.
Hey, guys and girls do check out my latest video reviewing the Samyang 135mm f1.8 AF lens for Sony E mount

As a standard it is set out of the box with mode 1 as manual focus and mode 2 as aperture.
Quite tempted to use this on APS-C and have a 200mm f/1.8. It will be amazing for indoor concerts
Oh definitely. I have used this in crop mode with the a1
the aperture would be 1.8 x 1.6 so not 1.8 , so more like 2.88
@@mjphotos dof would be 2.88 the aperture would be 1.8

The af is really good on the 135mm I have used it for some action stuff and kept up really well

Sorry for the late reply. To be honest I don't hear anything I was using it at f1.8 and in studio at f8 and was quiet in my copy
I bought this lens on release.... And i regret nothing!!
Can't fault this lens
Samyang should make a version 2 with aperture ring, I am very happy with my Sony 135mm 1.8 GM
They have the mode function that turns the focus ring into an aperture ring

@@cameraprepper7938 not for everyone but as you are turning the focus ring to change aperture you can see the f stop on the screen or view finder 🤷♂️

@@cameraprepper7938 umm we are talking about samyang son. They are designed to be cheap but high quality glass. Just stayed with your Sony okay...
