I love the aquarium flashback, it really showed how the only thing that mattered to Owen was to make Abby forget about revenge and achieve happiness... that ending when they're kissing and she stops to say that Joel is still out there, that's just heartbreaking, and you really see that Owen knows she won't stop for anything.

its a huge parallel with dina and ellie. abby had a good life maybe not the best. she is with the one that she loves they just found a huge aquarium to themselves. somewhere safe for them. just like farmhouse. dina begged ellie not to go. owen was begging abby not to do that too, he was trying to stop her. but as we know he failed as so dina. people hate owen for various reasons and i get it but i loved him and his development.
3:00, I'm desperately trying to figure out what genre of music this would be classed as... or even how to recreate that sound. I think it plays when Abby and Owen are underwater, and it's incredibly dreamy and spacey. I need more of it in my life lol Hell, if I had the ability I'd be trying to make more of it non-stop
I guess I get people that are mad with this game. I also was when I played it the first time, because, you know, certain character dies and you also play as Abby for the same amount of time as Ellie. And I guess nobody was ready for that, at least I know I wasn't. But after you finish and play it one more time, you can really see what a masterpiece this game is. I'm glad Naughty Dog didn't take the easy way out in this game.
It could have been an absolute masterpiece if it was written differently. Could have love to hate Abby and even love her afterwards. But the mixed storytelling ruined everything as well as other certain parts of the story which were horrible. The music, the aesthetics, incredibly well-done graphics along with a good story make up for a masterpiece. Could have been but will never be
This version "Unbound" I feel like this plays in my head every time I think of a friend that cut contact with me. Saying I lost him is inappropriate because he is not dead yet but he is lost to me because I made a mistake that cost me his friendship. And now I think about him every time I hear that bit thinking of all the good times we had
This Is One of those games that drags u literally in theyr own reality..its mind blowing, the story Is pretty dark and underrated, It clearly show u what vengeance can cause directly and indirectly to people u know ...i am Happy that this game was made to please a certain Number of people and not everyone otherwise It wouldnt be a piece of art ,but something to please the mass and today what pleases the mass Is utter garbage
Do you know anything about the song that plays at the end of the "Inside the World" video? I think it went unused. ruclips.net/video/saE6O93x3MA/видео.html
I'm afraid I don't, I do know there is another combat track that went unused. This one here - ruclips.net/video/c-MgrO4P6HE/видео.html The one in this link wasn't used most likely because it was made specifically for the demo because almost all of the gameplay in the Last of Us E3 demos is scripted. In the game files you can find the exact music cues used for the E3 demo of the first Last of Us, I assume that's what they did for the second game.
Not releasing these tracks is crime against humanity.

Their story is just heartbreaking, and this flashback is one of the best moments in the game

3:00 I wish there was a loop here man. This part was so beautiful, especially going underwater
various renditions of allowed to be happy make me infinitely happy
End of “entering the aquarium” could be a full length tune on its own and I’d listen to that shit on repeat

Reverb Ambiance with a soft bass line and melody.
Lots of different little sounds mixed together to create that atmosphere.

Agreed, left a bitter taste in my mouth first playthrough, almost finished 3rd and I’m obsessed... getting a tattoo of Ellie’s just because
Agreed, this sequel felt true to all the characters, im glad it wasn't another Joel and Ellie adventure just because
We do get to play as Ellie a bit longer than Abby though. But I agree with everything you said.

Owen was a good guy
the only one i was sorry for, he didn't deserve that ending.
a “good guy” doesn’t cheat on his pregnant girlfriend, and doesn’t travel hundreds of miles to participate in torturing and killing someone !
