Join me on a challenging trail in Southern Utah as we work to find our next campsite. A giant 300 foot sand hill stands between us and our next camp spot, but overcoming the monster hill will prove worth it as we get to camp.

Thanks Justin. These are my very favorite type of videos from you.
Man, beautiful ending. ❤❤
I really like how you’ve taken snippets from each of our points of view to create a more immersive story. Makes me wish I’d done it 😂
You need to hit up Matt’s Offroad recovery for a sand driving lesson! That would be a cool video
For driving in loose sand you might want to try the Off Road + button on your dash, above the sway bar disconnect. It alters your shift points, disables traction control and generally allows far better throttle response on loose surfaces. I mostly wheel on loose rock (East coast/Pennsylvania OHV trails are all about rocks), but in sand, especially if you're unfamiliar with it like me, the OR+ button sure is a big help. Before I had that on my '22 Rubicon I just kept it in 2nd or third gear low range, traction control off and gave it the beans, but OR+ has made it so much easier.
I COMPLETELY FORGOT about that on the Gladiator! I told David to toss his Bronco into the Sand GOAT mode, but forgot that the Gladiator had that! Great tip!
@@JustinBMcBride Well now you've got to go hit the dunes and give'er a whirl! On camera, of course .
I am glad you showed more of the breakdown at camp. Most guys post themselves pulling down their rooftop tent then driving off. I am always like, wow, they must have put everything away last night because I seem to take a lot longer to get my stuff packed and ready to drive. 💜
I really love what you did with this video! Really like having more of the people you travel with also be included in the videos 😊
Such a great trip man! Looking forward to hitting the trail with you again soon
Justin, my friend, you found your voice! Your gear videos are spectacular, and after you sold the Jeep, I felt like you were trying to re-figure things out and re-discover/re-shape your RUclips persona-find your identity.
And man, like I said, this is it-you found your voice! Keep it up, brother!
Matts offroad and Fab rats are the experts of that hill
Utah is absolutely insanely beautiful..can’t wait to get out there. And that drone footage with the music selection was right out of the Discovery channel. Awesome video Justin!!
Nice video Justin! Great group of trail mates!
Great drone footage and of course that time lapse is always beautiful. 👍
Come on Justin - the Barracks trail is an awesome trail. You just need to tackle it in the opposite direction so you don't need to climb that hill. I got hung up on one river exit, but taking it slow made the downhill a non-issue.
The downhill would be much easier. That hill climb was no joke.
@@JustinBMcBride Yeah - I know I wouldn't have made it😉 In my WK2 I had to launch it to get out of the river on several occasions as it was.
Epic views at the end, what a cool place!
Did you guys find any petrified wood out there? White Pocket is known for it
Love White Pocket and that whole area in the Grande Staircase. Great video👍
Thank you for the video Justin. Do you know when they are planning to close the trail?
17 psi?... that's high, for anything maybe except for corrugated roads. For deep soft sand you should be around 10psi on the higher end. 4low and 2nd gear, then pin it
Dave from OTG is getting around now 😂😂 I literally just watched your video with Sean TSTN 🔥🔥🔥 I love seeing it brother. Keep growing! Justin and TSTN are some of my favs. But your vids are definitely climbing the charts.
Haha yeah I’m a slut. lol nah these are such good dudes and I’m lucky to call them my friends. Thanks though man!
Just bought that pin tool from @RevereOverland based on this video. I'd been thinking about 3D printing something similar and never got around to it. Thanks!
@offthegrind Bronco representing on that hill!
For real. He brought it.
One of your better videos brotha🎯
Beautiful video, thanks
Excellent Video!
Come to FL, the land of sugar sand!
Is that wheel hopping bad for your rig? It happened to me last month and was so violent. It scared me.
Need adjustable shocks to dampen out the hop.
Every Gladiator I've seen lose traction in snow or sand has always done it. It seems to be really common.
@@RevereOverland I don’t feel so bad, then. I did go get some new front shocks today though. It was time anyway.
@@LostThymeOverlandAdventures It will happen to any solid axle vehicle pretty much. if its well built really is no worry if not and your running bigger tires and things on a stock axle it is a way to snap an axle shaft
@@Harps555 it’s a Rubicon
Bad ass with fpv
Epic video 🔥
What front bumper is that?
AEV EX Front Bumper. It’s all linked in the video description.
Thanks man appreciate it.
👍👍😃
Oh go wash your Jeep! 😅
It needs it.
Walk right up this hill with about 8 psi or less.
I was at around 7 psi and didn't make it the first time 😉
@@RevereOverland yeah. You guys have a bit more weight, maybe that’s why? Great videos tho.
@@951media definitely significantly heavier than stock. A solid front axle isn't nearly as good as IFS for sandy hill climbs; that's why the Bronco made it up so easily compared to the rest of us!
I’ve done this hill many times with my Bronco badlands and a Mojave gladiator both sporting Baja bosses MT’s aired down to 12 psi.
Filming a dude showering? I was worried somehow I found a wrong channel. I thought maybe you were selling your Jeep and starting an OF channel. 😳
Let’s go!
