Thank you for posting this! I bought a home a year ago that had a remodeled bathroom. Unfortunately, they used grout all around the shower and tub, including where the tile meets the tub, the corners and where the tile meets the ceiling. All of these areas are cracking already, and even falling out where the tile and tub meet. I was going to call someone to remove all the grout and replace it with caulking, but I'm thinking about doing it myself. I tried using a hand carbon blade, but it didn't even come close to doing the job. I actually scratched the tub. Someone told me about this type of tool, which I've never heard of. Do you have any pointers for how I could remove the grout, even in the corners, with this tool? Thanks for reading!
So the long end of the boot blade needs to be the first part that goes into the grout? I've been using the boot shaped blade backwards then? Or does it not matter which way the long end of the blade is placed on the tool? Thanks for your help.
Good idea for residential projects but when you have 3000 sq ft in a restaurant that opens up for breakfast at 6am u dont have time to go back and hit it twice. Grinder, diamond blades and vac is the way to go
@@wonderbladetool Hi, I'm new to this grout removal business.. I see on the website there's 3 different tips for grout removal. The one you use in the video is a "Boot shape" tip. Is this the one you recommend out of the 3 for general grout removal? Can you quickly explain the differences between the tips and their use? Thanks for your help.
@@GoldenCup888 Our Segment Boot Diamond Blade is the most versatile with being able to getting through corners and edges the easiest, however the other Diamond Multi-Tool Blades we have are for people with different preferences, they all serve to cut grout effectively.
@@wonderbladetool In all honesty can you please tell me if there's any considerable difference (in terms of how long they last cutting grout) between the Diamond Wonder Blade, and other diamond blades on the market? Do yours last a lot longer?
how much grout should be left on the sides of the seem? it looks like you didn't get it all, even on the second pass. is it advisable to get all of it, even if it means wearing down the sides of the tile slightly?
I do this for a job fixing leaking showers every day... Good quality 18mm snap off knife blades and a wheel lock knife so you can lock the blade in position good gloves if you're not super confident and shave any excess grout off the edges... Sometimes it's too hard for a knife and that's where a rotary tool with a diamond ball can come in handy they wear out ridiculously quick though... If you're planning on doing this job with no experience you are going to chip tiles and make it ugly accept the inevitable and start somewhere thats least visible first.. I'd also recommend a good vacuum and look up the arbortech mini grinder 1.5mm blade or 1.2mm thick for thin lines it's way easier than the multi tool it's super fine dust so don't listen to him about the shit going everywhere cause it will with the multi tool too the arbortech has a vacuum port built in so it sucks most the dust away straight off the blade
The specific blade used in this video is for cutting grout and is for an oscillating tool which moves from side to side, for cutting through asphalt specifically, it is best to use a circular saw with a Diamond blade.
I was unaware of that blade. THANKS
Fantastic video and great tips.

Well done! Thank you!
A depth stop would come in handy for not going deeper than you need.

@@GoldenCup888 It's a matter of preference, both ways are correct.
Please use a dust mask when generating cement dust

Take it all up. Might have to manually chip with a hammer and scraper.
Donde lo puedo comprar?

I’ll be doing this real soon in the kitchen, “someone” dropped a griddle on the tile!
Can this cut through Asphalt?

I used an angle grinder and got into the tiles a few times.☹️
Thanks for the video
The removed "grout" looks more like a silicon in the video...
If doing a shower seems like you risk cutting your waterproofing
In that case, it's important not to go too deep.
Grout still looks wet
A little chunky, fast forward only video..
😂- talk faster…..😮
