I drove 7 hours from Canada and saw this concert by accident. My ticket didn’t work because it was Thursday and my ticket was Friday. I work in the health professions but have always had an interest in poetry and lyrical construction hearing the lead singers lyrics I started to hear the double triple meanings in things with openly veiled authenticity was life changing for me. This time the loser wins. I get emotional right now literally leaking listening to it cause i never heard it. Like I’m reliving one of the most impactful moments of my life. Like this weekend literally gave me hope and it kicked of with a Slug spittin some real vulnerable stuff. So I’m at the wrong concert wrong day and at 15:45 he said “on a THURSDAY” and I’m like I’m probably the only one here by accident out of thousands) Then Sean sings God Loves Ugly which I’d never heard and all of a sudden I realized something its ok to give in. This was the happiest day of my life. I laughed at my wallet ain’t in my pocket and I’m thinking the whole concert was literally my life soundtrack and I have not stopped laughing since. Maybe I broke or something but my life has never faced more challenges and with pressure of life caving in, I can’t believe how this concert changed my life outlook so positively. This is why I believe in music because there are other musicians like William Patrick Corgan that literally saved my life with their vulnerability and refusal to live the script cast on them. So seeing Smashing pumpkins the next night(the one I meant to go to originally),😂 I got to share with a new friend who brought their two year old and I then again had the best day of my life. And jumping back to atmosphere I hear “they love the taste of blood” and I’m like what is this song?? It’s playing live as I write… now I’m too blupped up to dance I laughed. My goodness this was an amazing time. Then the pets reference and when he says “go play volleyball “ I’m like wait didn’t Andy samby sing that in some lonely island thing? So if anybody has read to this point I might as well interact and ask does anyone know if this line was stolen by the Samburgler? I told myself I’d stop babbling when the concert ended. So thanks so much for posting this video. 🎉
You’re right, they are. Atmosphere is Slug and Ant when they write and record music. When they tour they also bring out Plain Ol Bill, whose the second DJ in this vid. He does a lot of the scratching and adds a ton to their live sound. He’s been touring with them for years
