Which is best? Mini 3dr vs 5dr review

Tim Rodie compares the 3-door and 5-door Minis to find out which one is better and whether it can rival the Volkswagen Golf and Ford Fiesta for practicality and fun.
We put them through the Motorpoint Big Boot Challenge to see any difference in practicality.
The Mini comes with a range of engines
• One - 1.5l 3 cylinder petrol 102hp
• Cooper - 1.5l 3 cylinder petrol 136hp
• Cooper S - 2.0l 4 cylinder petrol 178hp
• JCW - 2.0l 4cylinder petrol 231hp
The Mini range offers Apple CarPlay with the optional navigation pack which is wireless. It is displayed on a circular infotainment system that has ambient lighting around its perimeter.

Don’t understand how they can say the 3dr is the cool looking one apart from the 5 dr being longer and obviously having back doors it’s actually the same in style front exactly the same and the rear just the door and length difference and 5 seater not 4

The car is better suited for regular or small people. I can't see a large man and his large friends being comfortable in this.

You’d have thought so but not true. A 6 foot 3 man can easily drive it. We have a Mini Cooper 16 plate. Doesn’t drive as well as the 08 Mini One that we had before as the gears are too long but still. Great car. Just about to swap for a 19/20 plate Cooper.
