    U can set up fans at a better speed from BIOS , also , look in the BIOS settings because sometimes the fan controler monitor and take the MBO temperature , set it to monitor and contorl the CPU temperature , some fans have a manual switch for bigger RPM , u can also use apps from the motherboard provider to chose the RPM u want and at what temperatures, and the last obtion, buy a better chase or a better fan for the CPU (a great chase is one that allows u to put 2/3 fans in the front, the front of the case has lots of holes in the front pannel, and no metal behing the fans , so the fans can blow air eficiently) if your chase have glass or a plastic pannel in front of the case... , U can literaly put 1000 server fans in front of it , it is still gonna suck hand overheat your components

    When my old cpu got hot, I could feel it quite clearly on the back of my case (still use the same tower), but it feels completely normal with my new CPU and motherboard even when the icue claims the cpu packet temp is in the 80s C. Sometimes it will say 80 or so C and then go down to the 50s or 40s just like that.
    I have even seen lower cpu packet temps while playing modern games than when just using browsers, but my case still feels fine, and the air coming out of the pc does not feel hot. It seems like the ICUE is just not giving me the real temp, but who knows for sure.

    • @CoilWhine
      @CoilWhine  Год назад +1

      If you're unaware of how to get into the bios then I'd be _very_ careful playing around in there. Some of the settings can be dangerous if you're not careful.
      Otherwise, it varies from mobo to mobo and vendor to vendor. If you have a prebuilt PC from Dell or HP you'll have to just google the model number and see what combo they're using, although it's generally del, f2, or f10 to do so.

    Hey I have a question which I really need an answer
    Do you know how to set up à limit for cpu usage?
    U dont have to read this part but do if u want to
    Ok so, one day I was playing minecraft and in middle pvp my pc just randomly turns off. At first I thought thas was going to be a 1 time thing so i turned my pc back on and started playing. But, it turned off again and started to be like that every time.
    So I searched on youtube how to fix it. The third day if searching, a guy showed how to set
    A usage limit for my cpu. I tried and boom! My pc worked again
    But.. one time it just started turning off again.
    And I cant refind that video.
    Also if you answer I will susbrcibe

    • @CoilWhine
      @CoilWhine  Год назад

      Sounds like you're probably just overheating tbh. Cleaning out the fans and replacing the thermal paste is probably a decent idea.
      This video was a bit of a joke too, but setting the power limit in the bios or within intel XTU or Ryzen master might help as well.
      Otherwise, you can go to the windows power plan and change the max CPU to whatever % you're looking for.
      Hopefully that helps!

      @CoilWhine  10 месяцев назад

      @@sylvieissmelly That's more of an issue with AMD CPUs (on am4 in particular) than anything because of their pin array. If you're worried, you can run the computer for a little bit then turn it off and take off the cooler. It'll be warm enough that the paste shouldn't stick too much.
      Or you can just take a can of compressed air and blow out the fins while keeping it on, that's always an easier option if you're not comfortable taking the cooler apart.

    Does this decrease performane while gaming

    • @CoilWhine
      @CoilWhine  Год назад +1

      it could, since you're setting it to thermal throttle earlier. Depending on what temperature you set and your cooling solution, you could lose performance.
      In my case though, I have a pretty beefy cooler so there was essentially no loss. The relationship between clock speed and voltage/temps isn't linear either, so lowering clock speed by a few hundred mhz can drop temps significantly, while only dropping performance by a few % points.
      Anyways, games typically don't load a chip up the way a synthetic benchmark would, and honestly a chip hitting 90c can sound scary, but it's a huge deal since it's within the manufacturer's specifications.
      Remember, we all ran laptops that easily hit lap-scorching 100-105°c and the cpus there didn't die.

      The cpu will have a stock throttle point where it starts slowing down. If you're constantly hitting 90 all the time, then you're losing performance as the chip slows down to keep from overheating
