I found your video as i was looking at a riot, your crash has put me off getting one, but i have subscribed as your video style is amusing, good luck with your flying, i think we might be at the same skill level

Julian Humphrey thank you for subscribing. I still have the Riot as my trainer. Don’t be put off, just check the plane when you open. It’s the cheapest trainer I believe. I had a WOT4 trainer and i crashed that. It’s the lack of Sim training, but I will make a video about that. I hope both our journeys move forward to the Fun zone we both seak.

@@DadsRCHangar I was gonna put an eagletree guardian stabiliser in the riot, bit im not so keen on the style of this plane so not getting one, i prefer flying wings like the C1 chaser, but have been looking for a different plane

Wish I’d seen your video earlier ! My Riot V2 prop came off too. Nut done up tight. I found the collet wasn’t closing tightly on the motor shaft no matter how tight the nut was done up. I cured the problem by filing the slits in the collet a tad, to allow it to close more. Problem solved. I’m wondering if there was a dodgy batch of collets ? Thanks for the video. I’ve just started in the hobby.

Hi Mike, that’s great. Started flying this before I did you tube. Now train with IC engine plane. You won’t regret the hobby, it’s great. I hope yiu joint the channle and other videos help you. It’s possible they did have a bad batch, a few people I know has the same issue. Happy flying and if I can help, please do ask. Have a great week. 👍🏻

hi dads hanger well i succumed and put the riot together didnt take long ,first of all the clevises pins broke nothing was in line so tried to alter distance really hard to do so binned them and ordered steel to solder to the pushrods, then i turned the radio on to reverse the airalons and one of the wing servos was just jumping really fed up with this so got in touch with century but havent heard back yet

Wow, sounds like you had a bad one. Keep on at Century UK, it’s possible with all this COVID still going on, they are either not back to 100% or busy.

Would you say sim training is necessary on new types ?

@@DannyBoy777777 I would say it helps with muscle memory, I do not think a Sim can give you how the plane flys.
I think once you take off, get the plane high and see how she reacts. Of course You Tube has a wealth of information about any plane and what to expect. Have a great day. 🫡

Had the same problem with a V2 prop pulling off. The adaptor spindle was a little short on thread and the nut bottomed out before the prop was tight enough. Simple fix - add another washer and problem solved!

My collet didn’t seem to close enough on the shaft and it came off taxiing for a take off (luckily). I cured the problem by carefully filing the slits in the collet a tad, to allow it to close more. Problem solved.

Just found out something you may want to know the plastic backplate on the max thrust riot makes the prop wobble would be better with a aluminium backplate Put the throttle on low and watch carefully and you will see a wobble

sounds to me like u got the gear but no idea lol great video for the laughs but they could be much better if u got someone onboard that actually knows what theyre doing no offence im gonna subscribe just because im interested to see your progress in this wonderfull hobby maybe u could do with spending a few weekends flying with someone with lots of experience or my biggest tip get yourself a good fixed wing simulator and practice and practice lots then practice some more coz your gonna spend lots of cash destroying your hard earned cash try learning to fly with a good trainer aircraft and get lots of practice and i mean lots of practice.good luck mate and happy flying.

Taz FPV you are absolutely correct, I have no idea. But it’s a journey, I have people helping at the club, but I guess if everything was easy in life, it would be boring. Thanks for subscribing. Hopefully I will progress, but if not, I can give you a laugh👍🏻
