I can't stress to you how much of a fan I am of your label and I genuine look forward to any announcements from you regarding releases like this. Even though I don't own the Fifth Element release at least I could say I had it in my hands and I know what it looks like and it will almost inspire me to hunt one down for myself. Wow, great video Kieth! The artwork on this set looks amazing…but holy cow, what a story behind the scenes of your drama with Zavvi. I have to admit, I myself have been on the edge of my seat when it comes to ordering with them as well. For instance, when I was waiting for the “Edge of Tomorrow” box set, that was a real nail biter…I wasn’t even sure I was going to get it as others had their orders cancelled. Thankfully, mine eventually showed up, but what a stress fest!
That reminds me, I have a couple films on pre-order regarding Warner Bros. “Film Vault Range” one from a 3rd party seller getting his from Zavvi in the UK, the other from Vice Press. I’m starting to get anxious as they’ve been pushed back into September October.
I can’t imagine the amount of anxiety that you have Kieth with all the releases you are waiting for. Hopefully this release will find its way in you hands soon.
On a side note, I recently acquired the “Hunger Games steel-book box set” you reviewed earlier, and I have to say, in person that set is absolutely gorgeous. I’m so glad I caught your review on that. Totally worth it! I happened to catch it on sale at my local Best Buy. The EBay listings are for 3 times as much! So thank you for yet another great find. Cheers!
How shocking it is that here is two of us talking about anxiety when it comes to dealing with Zavvi. You should never have to deal with anxiety you should be able to rely on a company to simply send you what you've ordered. But whatever it is with Zavvi they never tried to improve themselves. They do not care about the items they send out or the people they send them to and you are absolutely correct I do get anxiety when it comes to receiving anything from them. Thankfully I have one more edition pre-ordered from them and after that I will no longer entertain them and rightfully so. I have all four of those film vault Editions pre-ordered with Amazon and again you can't help but feel somewhat worried because of their packaging. But the good news is with Amazon at least you know you are getting some great customer care service. I'm hoping nothing will go wrong with them. Oh by the way I am absolutely ecstatic that you picked up that Hunger Games release. I can't stress to you how happy I was that I picked it up regardless of what I think of the movies which I still haven't seen. I might actually start them this weekend now that I think of it. I was going to say unfortunately these things happen but the seem to happen quite frequently with Zavvi. It is very frustrating because as you said the release is absolutely astonishing and it's almost inspired me to go out and try and find one for myself. I'm sure it will happen someday hopefully soon. I have the collectors edition Deluxe and the normal. I couldn't resist to buy both. I initially ordered back in 2022 when Zavvi was still dispatching abroad. I thought I wouldn't get my copies, and when I saw that Zavvi has dispatched them I was really happy. Once I got this in my hand, wowwww, I was delighted with such an amazing set. All credits goes to Everythingblu. This is one of the best if not the best release ever. Is just perfect from the exterior to interior artwork is a piece of art. Big thanks to Everythingblu for the commitment in producing this beauty and to your great video unboxing Kieth 👍
Fair play to you for picking up both releases. They do look fantastic and hopefully someday I will be able to get the deluxe release for myself. I only just found out that the Leon edition has been delayed until October. Why can't zavvi get their release dates right
@@millerman9991 I have decided to put Leon out of my thoughts Zavvi just cant be trusted sadly. Anyway October has Hellraiser 4k boxset and The Exorcist 4k. i managed to grab the steel book on Amazon italy.
I actually need to pick up that steelbook from Amazon Italy I think it looks absolutely beautiful. October is going to be a big month and great to see some of my favorite horror movies getting the 4K treatment

It looks absolutely astonishing but apparently some of the information written down on it is wrong.
Oh chuffin ell Keith, when I saw the thumbnail my response was "YES, HE'S GOT ONE" Then I started watching the video and my response was "NO... HE HASN'T" (clean version). We spoke a couple of weeks ago so I already knew the story. Even my cheaper Collectors Edition was lost in limbo for over a week but fortunately mine did eventually arrive. Ahhh Zavvi, our favourite! I noticed the upcoming special editions of Leon The Professional you mentioned are delayed until October. Let's hope the situation with that release isn't the same as this one as I have Leon on pre-order.
A really beautiful release. Love the multi-pass. I do think Leeloo also looks a little off on the cover art for the main box but a really minor gripe.
Unbelievable I was under the impression that Leon edition was out in the next week or two and now it's been delayed. My God can that company get anything right. Hopefully fingers crossed nothing goes wrong when it does come available.
It's weird a few people mentioned the same things yourself about Leeloo and after looking at it again I have to agree with you. Something not quite right about it. Of course taking nothing away from the set itself which is astonishing.
Love this edition. I do have the steelbook but may need to keep an eye out for this set. On the subject of Zavvi, I now use these when only absolutely necessary as their customer service over the years has been abysmal. I agree that there’s usually an issue when using Zavvi but the fact that the customer service is even worse just beggars belief! Anyway Keith thanks for the vid and take it easy.
I am just like yourself I will only use them if absolutely necessary and thankfully I do not have many pre-orders left with them only the Leon release and to be honest I'm not expecting to get that either. After that I will finally be done with them and thankfully so because it's not worth the heartache dealing with them and as you mentioned their customer service is let's face it non-existent. Beautiful release. Got my copy here in the states a few weeks back. You're right! Zavvi are pretty horrible all around. I hope your copy still shows up. There's always a chance that it still could. I had an incident, where I had the TOC Matrix steelbook coming from Zavvi. It didn't show up when expected, and I got a refund after the 30 day period. Well, three months after that it showed up. It decided to take a trip to Singapore, before making it's way to me here in the states. So, hope your copy does eventually show up, or you can acquire one at a reasonable price. Best of luck Keith 👍
Great to hear that you managed to get your copy and I'm assuming everything was okay which is also great. I keep telling myself that maybe someday it might come through the door but I honestly can't see it happening. I've had that many messages from people telling me that the exact same thing happened to them with their release. I think it's zavvi up to there old tricks again. Thankfully I have only one more pre-order from them and after that I will no longer have to worry about dealing with them which I think is a blessing in disguise. Hi Keith. Great vid by the way. I'm so glad that you've highlighted zavvi's huge poor service. I have only shopped with them for about 2 years & have had nothing but problems. My ultimate hatred is that they own Arrow video & on a few orders you can tell. Also I hate that sometimes Zavvi do an exclusive arrow 4K set i.e. the Robin Hood steelbok set which you couldn't buy from arrow due to the exclusivity. It had to be Zavvi. Also you can't use your RC discount on pre-orders. Or cancel orders that are " in process in the warehouse " . A shockingly run company
Honestly Gareth I have never seen a company that simply will not try to improve their situation. The amount of videos that I have done complaining about zavvi is borderline frightening and to be honest I feel like the idiot for dealing with them. The one thing I will tell you Gareth when it comes to zavvi particularly that Robin Hood edition that you are talking about from arrow Video but do check out Amazon Italy because they do get a lot of those so-called zavvi exclusives as well. I'm almost certain that's where I got my arrow Video release of Robin Hood.
Fantastic release Keith, very kind gesture for him to let you show it. I've heard EverythingBlu have cut ties with Zavvi . If you go to their website ( EverythingBlu.com )there is a notification link , i think they may go solo again fingers crossed 🤞

Good video Keith and great you still got to do an unboxing Zavvi cancelled mine for me 🤦🏻♂️ so I never got one either, they are a shitshow and don’t know why I keep doing it to myself. Best news I saw on Instagram that everything blu are no longer working with Zavvi and Zavvi will be releasing Leon themselves so I’ve cancelled that too. The artwork on this version is amazing as well. I love the Walking Dead backdrop, well done on that. Have you seen all the seasons of the Walking Dead Keith.
Hey Gary. Fingers crossed I can get my own very soon. But I am going to have to deal with the fact that I'm going to have to pay a bit more hopefully not too much. I haven't seen all of the Walking Dead series as of yet. I actually stopped right after season 7. It started to get a little bit repetitive. I need to go back and see what it's like
You are not going to believe this Keith, but just over 5 years ago I was recommended to watch the Walking Dead so I binged on all 7 seasons at the time which was about 99 episode over a 2 week period and I had a blast. Forward 5 years later and I am yet to still watch seasons 8,9.10,and 11, which I will get round to at some point. I've got the exact boxset from Zavvi - after not hearing anything for months I decided to cancel but as I had download their online magazine (as part of the order) the website would not let me for some reason.
So I just thought I'd try again another time and then forgot about it (had a bereavement so my mind wasn't really on it)
Then out of the blue I got an email saying it was going to be delivered in a few days.
Great boxset (my most pricey).
But I would think twice about one from Zavvi again.
I know it's an expensive set Steve but I honestly think it's worth every penny and you're very lucky to have one. I would do anything to have one myself. Fingers crossed sometime in the future I will. I have my Leon edition pre-ordered with Zavvi and hopefully everything will be okay with that and then after that I think I'm done when it comes to Zavvi. You just can't trust them.
I have the same issues every time I purchase from Zavvi. Like you say though it’s difficult not to purchase from them even though you know what to expect. Love your content 👍🏻

Just received mine here in Australia, and it was a little sad as it's the last item that will ever come from Zavvi to get delivered to Australia. Hope you manage to get yourself one soon without getting ripped off. 👍🏻

@millerman9991 hopefully that's true! I have all their previous releases and they are still amongst my favourites in my collection. Hopefully they do leave Zavvi and get back to doing it themselves.
To be honest I think that's when everythingblu were at their best when they were doing it themselves. They're only going to be hampered by zavvi and they will tarnish their fantastic reputation

Beautiful set Keith. Never had any problems with Zavvi apart from the arrow 4K of Robin Hood prince of thieves collectors edition . It never turned up. So I gave them a bad review on Trust pilot and about 2 hours later I got a full refund 😎

I'm not a massive fan of this movie but I kinda regret not preordering this set. I also missed out on the Rambo Deluxe edition. I do have the Leon Deluxe Edition on preorder though.
I think the fact that I have the Rambo edition makes this even worse to miss out on. I do have the Leon edition pre-ordered but I honestly don't know what's going to happen. Fingers crossed both of us will get them with no issues

Believe it or not but there is only two days out of the week that I watch movies and that's Thursday and Saturday but we do watch a lot on those days. Probably three on Thursday night and maybe four on Saturday. Of course with a few beers
@@millerman9991 sounds like a great couple of days. I must admit its rare I'd watch more than one in a day but occasionally have done a double bill. The beauty of movies is you can pick or choose whatever takes your fancy and the choices are endless 😊
It can be a bit of a headache in this room so I try to pick them out in advance so I don't have to spend too much time looking.

Just got back from my vacation to Croatia. Nice to see this fantastic edition. Love literally everything about it. Didn't pre order it myself last year because of the price. But I'm actually glad Zavvi decided to stop shipping movies overseas. They still send me emails that they miss me and every now and give a discount. But I don't want their stupid merch haha.
It saves me a lot of stress and contacting their customer service about 3 hours per month. Yeah, we miss out on some great releases. But most of then eventually also appear on Amazon. And for these kind of releases... They can stick it up their...
Like you said. How come a pure shit company like them still get such beautiful exclusives from companies. My mind is blown.

I must be one of the lucky ones then. I have never had any problems with my Zavvi purchases. I got my Ex Machina and Singin In The rain 4k steelbook box sets last week, which were well packed and damage free by the way, and I did (eventually) get my Fifth Element Collectors Edition which was also well packed and damage free. I also got the Dune 4k box set, Robocop 4k box set, Silent Running 4k box set and various other 4k blu rays and steelbooks. All well packed and damage free. Now I've said that, the next purchase will arrive smashed to bits. 😅
It's actually great to hear Gary that you've had no issues and honestly I hope you have none in the future. Me personally I've had nothing but Trouble from them. This is not the first video I have made complaining about zavv. Their customer service is an absolute joke and I don't think they care about their customers if I'm completely honest. I hope you never have to go through any of this in the future Gary because I promise you if you do you will fully understand what we are talking about. The edition of Fifth Element that I shown in this video is done by a company called everythingblu and their next release is Leon which should have been out this weekend but it's been delayed to October. I am such a fan of that movie

I may be wrong but as you said on the bottom of the large box it says limited to 1000 ( got number 0567) but on the inner box it says limited to 2000 looks like they increased the number they were making.
Hey Steve. I probably should have explained it in the video but the big box itself is limited to 1,000 copies but they made 2000 copies of the smaller edition inside. That's why it says 2000 on that box but it still matched up
I've been looking on Ebay for this and prices range from reasonable (75 USD) to disgusting (upwards of 300 USD). I've seen a few that don't have that collage of grey (aliens are those?) along the bottom of the slipbox - what are the differences between the boxes with and without that collage? Essentially I'm looking for an edition that has leeloo on the inside cover in that martial arts pose. Don't really need the tat but that patch and credit card thingy do look cool.
I'm presuming the 75 dollar version you are seeing is the edition inside the big boxset because you definitely wouldn't get the big one for that price now. That's probably the $300 version you're looking at. If you're looking for the edition with Lee Lou inside doing the martial arts pose then you need to buy the deluxe release which is going for crazy money. You can't get it any other way unfortunately
Fantastic set!! Unfortunately, there's a lot of greedy, selfish people that always pre-orders Limited Edition sets and sells them on ebay for double the price!! It Pisses me off!! Speaking of Zavvi, I'm still waiting for my American Werewolf In London hand statue edition that i pre-ordered about 2 bloody years ago 😡
I am not kidding Steven I went on to eBay and there must be hundreds of them for sale bear in mind they're limited to one thousand so it just goes to show how many of them the scalpers got hold of. I will go on and check it out because the retail price for this release is 100 pounds. But there is also another release that you can buy and it's the same one inside the big box and maybe that's what you are seeing
Im very Lucky they respond to my emails and have been helpful. This item the tracking says delivered and want me to fell in a form to say if haven't received. . Part from this they been real good . I see if it has been delivered to nans neighbour soon .

My only gripe with Zavvi is that they stopped shipping to Portugal. They only ship within the UK. Such a bummer.

Sorry you had to go through that, Keith. They really are an absolute shambles of a company. I've had my own tales of woe with them in the past. If they didn't have such great exclusives, I doubt anyone would deal with them.
From what I have been hearing everythingblu have left zavvi and rightfully so and I'm hoping I will be able to buy directly off their website again. They should never have joined up with Zavvi. All they done was ruin their reputation been with them. I think everybody has their own tales when it comes to zavvi. It's a testament to how bad they are

If you go onto eBay you will not believe the amount of these Editions are up on sale. The scalpers most have got at least half of them and I honestly think it's a big joke and these companies need to put a stop to that somehow. Like you said it's the fans that lose out
I haven't bought anything from zavvi, since 2019 horrific company, the scalpers likely bought the lot hence Zavvis lost in the post story, good luck with finding it.😮
Yeah they're an absolute joke of a company and I'm the bigger joke for dealing with them. You can clearly see on eBay that the scalpers got hold of them. Hopefully I can get one on the cheap
I've actually had some luck with Zavvi where they claimed my order was lost during shipping and refunded the money, only for it to arrive a few weeks later!
A few people have told me that has happened to them. As a matter of fact somebody told me it happened to them with that Fifth Element release. Unfortunately I wasn't that lucky

I ordered the new Terminator 2 Judgment day 4k statue box set from Zavvi. A week went by and it just said courier waiting for it. I contacted Zavvi and like you they got back in a hour saying lost in transit. They asked if i wanted replacement or refund, i asked them to send a replacement. They sent the replacement and 3 days later sent the missing one. I've had no reply yet when they want it returning.
I know exactly what I would do in that situation. Keep my mouth closed and wait and see what happens. That's not the first time I've heard Zavvi doing something like that. That could really work out for you. I wouldn't say no to having two of those beautiful statue editions of Terminator 2. I actually have one in my room
What a load of bollocks with that "item lost in the post" its well dodgy. I thought for a second you had it arrive and did an instant video but was sound of him to send you it for unboxing. The colour scheme is so nice and it sticks out so much amongst other sets. I really hope you can get it somehow and not from some chancer like that German fella. Apparently this has happened to a few people. Getting instant replies to their emails and refunded just as quickly. I know for an absolute fact that they took on too many pre-orders and instead of coming out and admitting their mistake they cooked up some ridiculous story about parcels being lost. I ordered kong vs godzilla 4k steel from them twice and both times it never shipped. The store claimed it was In stock. Over a monthes time passed and never shipped. Cancelled order. Tried again. Same results. I agree they suck.
I have never witnessed a company quite like them. No matter how many complaints they seem to get they never want to improve themselves. It all falls on deaf ears and thank god I don't have to deal with them for much longer.

Another Amazing Box set. I didn't notice something very weird. On the Multipass were it has leeloo Dallas's Sex there's an M instead of an F. I have a replica of it and mine has the F like in the film. It also has the wrong weight it should be 130 lbs not 152 lbs. Every thing else is correct except for the sex and weight. I wonder why Zavi did that? But yeah that's kinda weird.
Wow fair play to you for noticing that. That was the first time I seen that multipass and I thought nothing of it if I'm completely honest. My god it's still very impressive though. I thought that was going to be some hard plastic but never in a million years did I think it would be metal. Very well made it's just a shame they didn't get some of the information correct on it. Your the only collector I watch from a different country than mine.. You guys get very Awesome sets on your side of the Ocean. Here in the states it's all bare bones stuff. With the exception of Scream Factory , Arrow ,Vinegar Syndrom the basics lol. And as you know they put out very basic sets lol. So I always love watching your reviews because the sets you pick up really do the films justice. I honestly think you have one of the nicest collections on RUclips. I collect my self but I stick to mostly bare bones sets and some steel books. Its super expensive to import for me. But I'm just happy having the films. But yeah like I said always happy to see your videos I really like seeing These great films getting Justice with a great boxset especially when it comes to Horror. @Brucewayne6179 it's funny when it comes to deluxe releases I always get jealous of what use have over in the States. Shout factory and vinegar syndrome in particular I get so unbelievably jealous about because it cost a fortune to import those releases over here. Actually now that I think of Kino lorber is another phenomenal label who have brought out some amazing releases. I went on to amazon.com and I put in five movies that I would love to have from shout factory and it worked out at nearly 200 euro. There's no way I could ever spend that money. So I'm right there with you. A huge thank you by the way for the incredibly kind words. It's always great to read comments like this and I can't stress how much I appreciate it.
I ordered just the steelbook in November for this and still not arrived . I complained and they gave me £20 and still waiting for the steelbook - terrible service

Well after seeing this breakdown, I myself broke down and won an auction for $221.68. Probably paid an extra $80 for it.

Sorry you had the seller pulling a fast one over payment as they can't do that if the winning bidder drops out you are only meant to pay what you yourself bid for it as the winning bid becomes null and void
I actually tried explaining to the seller that I had the winning bid and it was well under the 200 euro but he was having none of it. As a matter of fact he got very angry and started calling me names for some strange reason

Some of the things people would try on eBay. I try not to buy that much of eBay because you honestly do not know what you are going to get. On the rare occasion you do find a seller that you can trust but it doesn't happen that often. The person I dealt with tonight on the other hand was an real piece of work.

A very nice set there but definitely not worth €200. A steelebook release that was due to be released on the 31 st August from Zavvi was delayed by about ten days. I had a few apology emails from them and it was stated that they are changing to a much larger warehouse and that was the reason for the delay.
Hey Stephen. There is no way in the world I will ever spend 200 euro on this edition as much as I do love it. I think my comfort zone is 160 euro and if I can't get it for that then I will never own it. I only just found out my other pre-order from zavvi the Leon release has been delayed until October. I have never witnessed a company like zavvi to get their release dates wrong so many times.
I stopped ordering from Zavvi about a year ago. They will NEVER get my money ever again.

I’ve just gone through a month long wait with arrow video to try and get a replacement disk for Donnie darko, waited a month for them to basically call me liar and say nothings wrong with the disk and they wouldn’t do nothing…messaged zavvi(the company that now owns arrow), refunded me within the hour even though I only wanted a new disk…terrible customer service.
My god the thoughts of actually contacting zavvi breaks my heart. I'm so sorry to hear that you had to go through all that messing just so you can simply get a replacement disc. I will never fully understand any of this if I'm completely honest and zavvi don't even try to improve their situation. They seemed to be getting worse and worse as Time Goes By. I have one more item pre-ordered from them and then after that I will no longer have to worry about them because they will not ship worldwide anymore and maybe it's a blessing in disguise
@millerman9991 I had to literally threaten them with going to my credit card company, I think the only reason they refunded me was because the film was apart of a larger order and they stood to loose more than just what I paid for the 1 film...I think once my red carpet subscription runs out in November I'm done with them...I'm currently really liking going out to stores and buying films in person.
I would do anything to have the luxury of going out and buying movies physically but unfortunately over here in Ireland it's nonexistent. I miss it so much and at least you know what you are buying and that's what I missed the most.

F Zavvi. By the way. If you want to close your account, you have to message them asking how to do it as there is NO option to do so. They closed it. So we have to ask to have to have it done. Ugh. Good riddance.

No the last thing I wanted in the world was a refund because as you said it is going to cost me more now to get it. It doesn't mean that I'm going to spend over the odds either. I will be patient and wait for the right moment and I'm sure it will happen for me.

I just checked out that box set again and I have to agree with you there is something a little off when it comes to Leelu aswell. Of course it's still looks amazing particularly the back artwork which looks phenomenal.

God Zavvi are utterly rubbish they managed to lose my order of their exclusive Dredd Blu-Ray steelbook a while ago ever since then I've always avoided them if possible and gone for alternatives like Amazon.
